To The Letter
Tremaine Jarrow had come here to send a letter to his family, as they had requested. He had come here bearing a lengthy letter in a cream-colored envelope, complete with a red wax seal. The letter was addressed to his mother, Sheila Jarrow. In cramped, angular handwriting and deep blue ink, he had written a full description of his few days here at Hogwarts, of friends and teachers and giant squids. He had been about to attach his letter to the leg of a simple Lesser Masked Owl when he saw a gorgeous Tawny Owl. And thus began his search.
He had been here for half an hour now, trying to decide on which owl to use. They were all beautiful, and Tremaine couldn't make up his mind. He found himself wishing yet again that he was allowed to bring an owl to school. His parents owned a pretty little Barn Owl named Cleite, and he missed her familiar ruffled feathers and painful nips - well, maybe not the nips. He still had a few scars from those. Come to think of it, maybe he didn't miss her too much.
Tremaine approached a Snowy Owl that he had already decided and un-decided on several times. He hooted impatiently, thrusting his leg out as if begging Tremaine to just get it over with. Tremaine was about to make up his mind when somebody else came into the room.

To The Letter
Astraea cautiously walked past the owls, somewhere staring at her something she did not like, oh why did she have to be so small? She wondered as she continued to walk quietly along, in her hand was a letter she hoped she could send to her parents pretty soon, as she had forgotten to send it yesterday. She had promised to send her parents a letter once a week, but she had forgotten too!
Picking up her pace Astraea searched for the familiar, go-to snowy owl, the only one she ever let take the letters to her family. Astraea was not sure why but it had become a habit of hers after she sent the owl to her family to inform them that she was placed into Gryffindor. with a grin, Astraea soon spotted the owl, but it was accompanied by a red-headed boy that was holding a letter in his hand.
"Hello?" she asked curiously walking up closer to the boy, who she soon realised was taller than her, not that it mattered since she was nearly half the usual height for an 11-year-old with A sigh she called out one more time
"Hello?" she smiled "I'm Astraea and you are?" Astraea knew that this could all be a waste of time but she didn't care, It could be her chance to make a friend.

(Astraea, that was a lovely RP post. However, this RP is reserved for another character, by the name of Riley Williams. I'm very sorry about the misunderstanding. I hope I didn't forget to put PV Riley Williams in the title.)

(It's fine, of course. You're still learning. I'm new here myself, but I was far too shy to do anything until I had thoroughly researched it. I admire your bravery. If you would like to RP somewhere else, I would be happy to do so. Just owl me.)

To The Letter
"Oh hi." Riley smiled at the other boy as he entered the Owlery. He had gone there to send a letter to his father's aid, to make sure everything at the house was running smoothly. In all honesty he had no idea why he was so anxious about it. Maybe because he never really trusted the blonde nurse from some foreign country. She was just to … perfect.
He smiled at the other boy, running a hand through his light hair as he looked awkwardly around the owlery. "He's beautiful … is he yours?" Riley asked, looking up at the snowy owl that the red headed boy was about to tie his letter to. He had never really been one for owls, but he loved snowy owls. They were so gorgeous. So majestic. And kind of adorable in a way. His father had a screech owl named Terror, a name which fit perfectly. The thing was a little horror, it seemed to hate Riley with every inch of it's god forsaken being.
"I'm Riley by the way. Riley Williams." He smiled again, looking up at the taller boy as he took a couple of steps closer. Riley spotted a small barn owl next to the snowy, and made his way over to stand next to the other boy, tying the note around the bird's ankle.

To The Letter
Tremaine waved as another boy came in. He, too, was carrying a letter, most likely addressed to home. He supposed a lot of the first years were missing their friends and family back home, especially the muggle-born students who had never been in a place like this and certainly hadn't expected to be.
The boy ran his hand through his hair and Tremaine noticed how very light it was. It reminded of his grandmother's hair, which was nearly pure white and incredibly wispy. The boy asked him if the snowy owl was his and Tremaine looked at it. It was still sitting there, getting more and more agitated, waiting for him to tie the letter to its leg. Tremaine found himself wishing once again that he could have an owl once again. He understood why the school might have banned pets for the time being - allergies, phobias, pets eating one another - but that didn't mean he couldn't think about having a pet.
Tremaine, swept away by one simple question that he had completely forgotten to answer, had begun to daydream about riding his very own dragon when the boy spoke again, introducing himself. How rude of Tremaine! He hadn't answered the question. Well, one thing at a time. "Pleasure to make your acquaintance, Williams." He remembered his mother instructing him to refer to everyone by their surnames. That was how things were done at Hogwarts, and it was polite. Well, as far as Tremaine could tell, nobody did that anymore, but he wasn't about to let his mother down. "As for your question, no, this isn't my owl. I'd like very to get one, but I'm not sure when pets are going to be allowed in Hogwarts."
He finally knotted his letter to the snowy owl's leg and the poor thing flapped off, looking utterly relieved. Tremaine leaned up against the cold stone of the owlery and asked Riley, "Writing home?" He gestured to the letter that Riley had brought in.
