A Letter of Requisition Solo Finished

The year was winding down. With the announcement of summer camps and her upcoming journey to London, Luna found herself extremely short on both clothing and funds in general. She had made due with the modest scholarship she was allocated. But these events were more special. Luna had made all O's this year, except on one piece of homework, in which she had received an E. And despite the fact that this happened to be a personal goal, she held hope that perhaps she could be rewarded. Luna didn't even want money, just an outfit. A nice one that she could wear to the cabin, and on her trip to London. So she had sent out a letter to her Godwitch requesting funds or clothing itself. Either would do in any case. The letter read as such:

Dearest Mother,

I write to you to inform you of my progress at Hogwarts. As you know from my last letter, I've made a best friend who has invited me to visit her estate in London. As such, I need to ask your permission to go. It doesn't interfere with the Cabin this summer, I promise. In fact, Eevee will be in the same cabin as me. Also as you know, I did well at homework this year and would like to make a request of you. May I have a new outfit for both London and the cabin? I understand if I cannot, but I thought I'd ask. I hope to hear from you soon. I love you.

Your dearest foster daughter, Luna
And that was what had brought Luna to the Owlery today. The reply letter read as such:

My lovely Luna,

Of course, you may attend London. Please send an owl with the address of the estate, along with contact information for Evelyn's parents as soon as possible. I am simply delighted with your progress at Hogwarts. You remind me of myself at Beauxbatons Academy. I do hope you continue on this path, and I also hope the dark rumors I hear are exaggerated. But I trust your professors have everything handled. As to your request, please see enclosed. Remember my dear, you are loved.

Your loving foster mother
Luna lit up while reading the reply. Her eyes almost literally shining, an effect of her joyous mood. She clutched the letter to her chest, taking in all the affection she could possibly manage. After a few minutes, she turned her attention to the package the owl had carried in. She delicately opened the paper wrapped packages, treating them reverently. Inside she found not one, but two outfits. One was labeled for London. A beautiful white dress, with a royal blue belt and accents. There were also black leggings and flats to go with it. Luna wasn't a fan of dresses, but she wouldn't refuse the gift. The second was for the cabin. The top was a white dress shirt with fancy ruffles on the neckline and sleeve ends. The sleeves themselves were stunted, ending midway down her forearm. A second set of black leggings accompanied a blue layered skirt. And finally a pair of midnight black hiking boots. Luna was in total awe. She noticed a theme in colors, but it didn't matter. She may as well have won the lottery. She felt like this day couldn't get any better.

Knowledge is a weapon. I intend to be formidably armed.
