Family and friends...
Ava walked into the Owlery as she usually did, her feline friend behind her, also as usual. In her hands, she had a quill, some in, and some parchment. She wanted to write to her family here, as usual. She sat down and leaned against a wall. Her ca- excuse me, kitten - Bambo sat down on her lap. She did not know what to do it felt... weird and like a routine that she had to do everyday or something would happen. She was... tired of it at the least. The young girl started petting her cat. That always made her day, so why not now? The Silver girl quickly started laughing and when they stopped playing with each other, she was in a much more better mood to write.
"Oh.. Uh... Hello?" she said, not sure of what she was saying.
Ava put the letter in the envelope and sealed it. She was about to give it to an owl and go to the common room, but something stopped her. Someone entered the owlery.Hey Xaver!
I finally received your letter. It's great to know that you're doing good. I'm actually pretty curious about the girls that you mentioned. Twins? That's really cool. And you mentioned they look like me? That's... even cooler. Though I'm pretty sure that there are many blonde girls with green eyes.
Thanks for the praise. Your handwriting is perfect, as always. JEALOUS! But it's nice to hear that you think it's improved.
Well, I have to go!
See you during the holidays!
Ava

Family and friends...
Lorelai held her letter to her mother firmly in her grasp. She was inexperienced with owls but after watching other students a few times, think she understood. She missed her mother dearly, and from what her mother had written it seemed she did too. Lorelai remembered the letter she had received the past day.
The Gryffindor held her letter close to her chest. "Hi there. I guess I'm not the only one who needs to send a letter."She said, fidgeting with her hands.
Lorelai thought it was sweet that her mom wrote to her almost every day, but she knew she was lonely home alone. She made sure to owl her daily. Interestingly, her mom wrote almost all in English, even if they only spoke French at home. Lorelai had written back.Chère Lorelai,
I can't believe we've been away for so long! The apartment feels so empty without you. I hope you are doing well in school, although I'm sure you are. You've always been a smart girl.Maybe if you do well this year I'll let you get a pet. I might have to fight the landlady for it, but you know I'll make it happen. She already doesn't like the owls coming in and out of the window. Can't blame her though, she's not used to it. I'm already excited to see you at Christmas. I've been watering your plants, just like you told me to.
Je pense à toi toujours! N'oublie pas je t'aime!
Maman
Lorelai entered the owlery, ready to hand her letter to one of the owls when she saw another girl. "Oh. Uh...Hello?"She said.Dear mom,
I'm getting good grades, I promise, and of course, I'd love to get a pet! I've been asking for one since I could talk, you know that! I've made some friends, and everyone's been nice so far. I'm awfully homesick though, I miss you too. I think this is the longest I've ever been away from you. I'll be home in no time though, so don't worry! I love you!
Love,
Lorelai

Family and friends...
"I guess you are not the only one. Who are you writing to? I am writing to my friend. He lives in Sweden. Attends Durmstrang instead of Hogwarts," Ava said and looked off into the distance. She missed the boy, he was actually her only 'real' friend. "Unless you prefer to not tell me, of course. I am so sorry, I am often too forward. Sometimes I don't understand what privacy is. Guess I just got used to the fact I always tell everyone everything... Usually, it is because I have to explain myself," she quickly tried to explain herself, knowing that the girl - Gryffindor, judging by the robes - may not want to share everything in her life with a complete stranger.
"Anyway, what is your name random stranger?" she asked and chuckled awkwardly, facing the Gryffindor girl and extending an arm towards her. "Also, you have a beautiful accent," the Slytherin said and walked up to one of the owls and put her letter into one of the envelopes she took with herself and after a couple of seconds trying to fit the parchment into it, she gave it to the owl. "Fly," Ava whispered with a smile and turned back to the girl. "So? What's your name? I'm Ava, a proud pure-blood & Slytherin at your service."

"I don't mind telling you...I'm sending an owl to my mother,"Lorelai said, fiddling with her hands. "I'm okay with sharing some stuff about myself. I mean, I'm not all that shy or anything."Observing the girl, she noticed she was a Slytherin. Lorelai knew that Gryffindors and Slytherins had a reputation for not getting along, but she never caught on to the burning hatred some of her fellow Gryffindors had for the other house. Then again, her experience with Slytherins was limited.
The girl then asked her name and complimented her accent. Lorelai had been told that she had a slight French accent, although it only came out it certain words. Her mother's thick accent probably had an effect on her, considering how much time they spent together, especially when Lorelai was little. She was a little taken back, as most people didn't notice it. "Thank you..."She said awkwardly taking the other girl's extended hand and shaking it lightly. She then went up to one of the owls, petting its head slightly before trying to get the owl to get it to its destination. "Well, I'm Lorelai, a proud Gryffindor and...something!"She said awkwardly, unable to think of more terms that would be suitable. To be honest, she thought she was a Muggle-born until recently when she discovered her father went to Hogwarts. 'Do people act that proud about being half-bloods?'She wondered to herself, furrowing her brow. 'Probably not.' She concluded after a second.
