"Do you know why you are here Mr. Hess?" A quiet voice questioned, from a particularly dark corner of the owlery. Four pairs of feline eyes, could be seen peering from the blackness. "Of course you do. Well, you ssshould anyways if you read my owl." A pause. The voice in the corner began to move out of the shade. The echoey tone belonged to the eldest prefect of Gryffindor. An odd girl, with a equally odd sense of judgement, and a strange moral compass. She had a large cat in her arms. One dainty limb supported the creatures underbelly, whilst the other stroked the fur along his back. It was an awfully cliché image. "You were in the Hospital Wing in early February, along with a few other ssstudents. Your little friend went into a frenzy, and tried to attack me. Remember?"

The Gryffindor set her feline companion down on a nearby desk. "But your friend never got the chance, because another boy had cast Flipendo at him. And then you, decided to return the Flipendo, and send that boy- and I mean this quite literally, into the arms of danger." The girl temporarily ducked behind the desk, only to return with a bucket, and a elongated metal box. "Your senseless endangerment, Jürgen, is why you are here ssserving detention." So she claimed. In reality, she wanted him for questioning. A small, gloved hand maneuvered the metal box, so that it faced the fellow Gryffindor. The lid slid off to reveal...- three sets of chopsticks?! Yes. Three sets of chopsticks. One plastic, one metal, and the last were wooden ones.

"Your task today is to collect owl pellets. With chopsticks. Now because I am no sadist, I have given you a nice selection to choose from. One of these will make your job a lot easier. So you best choose wisely." Xailah was making this student fuel her peculiar hobbies. The lioness liked owl pellets- she like what could be found inside of them. Bones. But she did not like gathering them, seeing that some of the owls in the owlery had a tendency to attack her, and Schrödinger. But not today! Today Jürgen would be the one getting heckled by owls. "Once you manage to get a pellet, you will put it in this bucket-" She held up a tin pail "Gently. For each pellet you drop, I get to hit you with a spell of my choice. Understand?" The corner of her mouth quirked slightly. "When you are done with this task, we can consider ourselves... even, I think." She nodded at the boy, before taking a seat. "Now get this done- quick like a bunny."

Before me, you rightly tremble. But, fear is not what you owe me. You owe me awe....

Owl Make a Man Out of You Detention
Jürgen Hess was not given a fair punishment, not really considering everything that had happened. Not that he knew that Pierre was the one that sent the three of them to the Infirmery with a stink bomb gone wrong. However, he did see a little girl start an Auror on fire and he saw the Prefect that had given him detention steal something that was not hers. Two truths that at this moment he was not overlooking, but unlike most of the students here in Hogwarts he had enough sense to do his time. Being obstinate made justice and truth harder.

She reiterated the part about his friend attacking her. He nodded, "he was not in his right mind." A simple truth, an explanation sure. One that she was unlikely to care about and frankly considering the circumstances Hess did not care too greatly himself.

Apparently he flippendoed her friend. Of course, that was why he was brought here. "I guess setting Aurors on fire, stealing wands and running off... those are things normal, rule-abiding students do then." Yeah, he was there, he saw it. ALL of it. He saw this for what it was of course, a personal vendetta. An abuse of her authority and from a Gryffindor no less. An utter disappointment. Jürgen had a strong sense of justice and a relatively strong sense of ethic. He expected no less from his peers, but as people often do.... they disappoint.

Apparently it was pick up bird dropping with chopsticks. A menial, degrading task made difficult for the purpose of being well... an asshole. The Gryffindor would look at her. "You know..." his voice trailed off as she made a threat about hitting him with a spell of her choice and quirked a brow. "I refuse," he stared her directly in the eye as he said it. He was not a particularly powerful lad but he was put in the lion's house because he was brave. "You see. I was there and I saw what you did." He glanced around the Owlery at the filth and again at the chopsticks. "Not only is the punishment unfair, but you're practicing corporal punishment that goes beyond your scope as a Prefect." She had no right to lay her wand on him and he was not going to consent to that. "If you raise your wand to me, I will make you lick the floor of these droppings," he warned. There was an edge to his voice. He was willing to be passive, let a cute girl get a win once in awhile but he was not willing to be victimized and he was not willing to let her abuse him or others. If he was being treated this way, being threatened in such a matter. He was likely not the only one he reasoned. "I will clean the Owlery using adequate supplies for the sake of hygiene and do a good job. After such a time, I will report you to our Head of House. She can borrow my memory, use a pensive if she wishes."

That said, the boy would leave unless somehow prevented and he would return several minutes later. Rag and bucket in hand, wand at his side. With a long, defiant glance at the girl he would start cleaning IF he had the supplies. If not. If she prevented his egress, they would clash wands. He would report her for that. He would seek to strip her of her authority and her badge. In fact, he was going to report her all the same. He never should have stayed quiet about the wand. About what they did. Had he said something sooner, then she would not be here in this place of authority misusing it.

First things first, a nice and clean Owlery. Then he will reach out to Miss Pendrast.
