She had a bad feeling about this, she just did. A letter from the Ministry? It was probably something to do with her parents or Darren. Her fingers caressed over the wax seal on the envelope eyeing the document with a sort of apprehension. What could be so important that the Ministry of all people were sending her an owl, here at school? Surely, her parents would have been a better option? A personal owl from them, this had to be bad."Just go ahead and open it, there's only one way to find out." She muttered to herself looking at the letter and back at the various little owl heads that peered curiously at the human. She had come up to the tower out of earshot and eyesight of anyone . It couldn't be THAT bad, could it?

Sighing, she paced the tower for a bit before coming to terms with the situation that presented itself before her. She needed some fresh air. "I can't, I can't, I can't." Pushing open the door to the Owlery, she walked outside letter clutched in hand as she scanned the stairway leading up to the tower and the castle beyond. She could leave this all behind. Chuck the letter to the wind and forget it ever happened. Her family wasn't exactly the most pure of heart and she was a thousand percent sure it had to do with them. "It's now or never, Elena." Inhaling and exhaling slowly, her shaking fingers began to unpeel the velvet red seal as she pulled out a piece of parchment long and fresh like it had just been printed off the press.Still fresh, whoever sent this must have been in a hurry to get this owl out.

As she glanced over the contents, the first thing that caught her attention was the seal of the Auror Office. The AUROR OFFICE.Now, what could a bunch of people who hunted criminal masterminds for a living want with a second-year Gryffindor student who's only commendable crime was probably breaking curfew a few times but then again, everyone had done that at some point in their Hogwarts education. As she read the letter, her eyes got wider and wider and her expression changed drastically. "Darren....you...you...no...this has got to be a heap of junk."She knew what the letter was saying, she also knew Darren wasn't the one to blame for this.

It was her parents. As usual. "Why can't they just.....leave me...be?!?!?"She almost spat out the last words. Her dear brother was now a target of the Aurors and she knew it was all hogwash. To make matters worse, they wanted her now? The stress in her voice only caused her to panic more and more as she swayed a bit making her way down the staircase."No..this..no..make arrangments? Fine, so be it then!" Her head began to ache and her vison blurred for a brief moments. Elena recgonized all the symptoms of a panic attack, something that happened as she attempted to control her breathing pattern. Still, being informted the only person you looked up was gonna be sent to jail for potentially forevery because of some stupid idealogy of her parents and that she was helpless to do anything was suffcient enough reason for her panic. She never made it to the bottom of the stairs. Shaking uncontrollably, her stride was rough and uncontrolled as she missed a step slipping taking a rough tumble down the staircase falling face-first onto the hard stone walkway below. There was a large bruise on her forehead now and a cut to her nose and cheek that were bleeding but not too majory. Elena for the most part was unconcious and the letter that had started all this fell from her grasp landing next to her.

It was a cold afternoon outside Hogwarts as Percival walks towards the owly to gather his monthly mail. His parents and grandparents always made sure to keep up with his education, as well as send him some items to help him along the way. Once a month was fine, considering the jobs of most of his family. At least half must of worked for the ministry, so it was understandable as to why it was so spread out. His comfy coat waved in the wind as he reached the steps of the owlery, a low pitched whistle being heard as he slowly made his way up the steps. The only thing he could hear was the low sound of fluttering wings, something of which was normal considering it housed an abnormal amount of owls. However, another sound soon caught his attention.

He must of been halfway up where he heard a faint voice coming from inside the owlery, a voice that sounded distressed. However, from where he was standing the words were muffled and hard to listen too. Curiously, Percy continued his path upwards towards the source of the sound and wondered who this person was babbling about, knowing his luck it was going to be another crazy student who had madness written all over them. He slowly turned a corner and unexpectedly saw a girl fly through the air, her body hitting the floor face first onto the cold concrete below. The flying body and impact of the fall almost made him jump out of his skin, forcing him to stumble backwards into the staircase wall "Jesus Christ!" he shouted out loud as he gazed over to the motionless body. Percy stared at her for a few seconds before hesitantly making his way up, his eyes constantly looking up the stairwell to see if anyone pushed her. Eventually he got to her level and kneeled down, his eyes checking her over for any damage. From the looks of things she was out of it, and had a few cuts and bruises over her face. Percy thought it was best not to move her at all, because you never know if she had any broken bones from the fall. One hand slowly went up to his coat zipper and pulled it down, before taking it off his shoulders and placing it over her back. It was the least he could do for now.

While he took a second to think about the situation something caught his eye, a piece of paper that was laid beside her hand. He extended his arm out and carefully grabbed it, dusting off any dirt or grime that was on it. When he finally looked at it the logo at the top was instantly recognisable, it was the department of magical law enforcement symbol, the exact same one his father worked for. His eyes quickly scanned the parchment until the very end, a small sigh coming from his lips when he finished. It must of been pretty serious for them to send a letter ordering her into the ministry, especially if it wasn't her fault to begin with. However, this whole thing wasn't his business.

It hurt. Everything hurt. Her vision was still blurry as she attempted to make out what exactly she was doing face down on the ground. A sharp spike of pain jolted up her leg and she let out a grunt of pain as she attempted to sit up against the wall very painfully but managed to do so. Glancing around for the letter, she found it in the grasp of ..oh, someone else was here? Not someone she recgonized, he was..new. Elena noted the jacket that been placed around her, probably his. She gave him a weak smile as the pain shot up her leg again. Ok, she had defintely fractured or broken something because the thing hurt like the devil every time she tried to move it. "Thanks for stopping..probably not you were expecting on your way up here."

Her hair was a mess, one could tell she was really stressed just by looking at her not to mention the cuts dripping blood. He had probably read the parchment, just her luck. She tried to shift to a better positon regretting it almost instantly as the pain fired up."Ow,ow,ow,ok bad idea."She glanced at the letter and back at the boy."Normally, I'd say it's rude to go through snooping through other's mail but frankly right now, that's the least of my worries. The name's Elena, Elena Jangleton of Gryffindor." She said from her seated position thinking darkly of all the horrible things she would like to invoke upon the senders of this letter.

"You know how far the hospital wing is from here? And maybe a Professor? This entire day has just been so..well, roughh."Make arrangments, they had said. That sounded like something her parents would say and she was willing to bet they were the ones behind all this. Wouldn't surprise me. Darren..she had to get to him..but leaving the school? Now, that was a complicated situation of it's own. Maybe if she explained the situation to the staff, there could be some sort of solution worked out. Why did bad things always happen at the good times? It was like a cycle and it never failed to repeat itself. "I really messed myself up bad, huh?"

When Ivy flounced up the stairs to the Owlery, the last thing she had expected to find was a bleeding girl sitting against the wall.

From the colour of her robes, the girl was in Gryffindor, like herself. A boy in green robes looked down at her rather worriedly as she asked how far the Hospital Wing was from here. Ivy froze for a second as she observed the scene. She swallowed and opened her mouth to speak.

"Um, are you alright?" Ivy finally asked the girl, making her way towards her. The next second, she realised that it was a pretty stupid thing to ask a girl who was visibly bleeding. She shut her grey eyes for a second. Social tact, 0. "Ok, stupid question. I have a bandage in my bag." Ivy fished around in her leather satchel to find it. But the other Gryffindor didn't move forwards to get the bandage, instead staying in her place against the wall. Ivy couldn't help but raise an eyebrow. It was just a cut.

Ivy looked at the Slytherin boy, then at the girl again. "What happened to you?" The first-year raised an eyebrow. "Did you get attacked by an owl?" The corners of her mouth quirked up slightly. There was really no way you could injure yourself in the Owlery, unless you encountered a particularly hostile bird.

Once again, social tact, 0.

Oh, well. Ivy did not come to Hogwarts to make friends. She moved closer toward the girl and crouched down, noting her leg seemed to be twisted at a strange angle. Ivy's rosy lips parted in shock and it took a while before she regained her voice. When she spoke, her tone was serious, no longer playing.

"Ok, not kidding now, what did happen to you?" Ivy asked, eyeing the leg. "You really should get to the Hospital Wing. And," she hesitated, briefly wondering if introductions were really important at the moment, "I'm Ivy, by the way. Ivy Bellamy."

"Thanks for stopping..probably not you were expecting on your way up here." said a voice below him as he continued to scan the paper. He slowly lowered it and noticed that the girl who was once knocked out cold had made it to the wall, looking like she had been dragged through a bush backwards. Percy slowly folded the paper in two and held it in his right hand for now, not ready to give the paper back just yet "Of course not..." he grunted back in response, unhappy that her clumsiness made him jump out of his skin. The Slytherin looked back down to her with his usual cold stare, noticing her visible stress that couldn't go unnoticed "Ow,ow,ow,ok bad idea." she said after her pain fired up again, her gaze on the note before it went up to him "Normally, I'd say it's rude to go through snooping through other's mail but frankly right now, that's the least of my worries. The name's Elena, Elena Jangleton of Gryffindor."

Percy raised an eyebrow to her introduction, especially the rude part. He was only curious because of the logo that rested at the top "Percival Gray, Slytherin" he replied, his thoughts still on what he consumed from the paper. Would his father know about this? who knows, they probably have many other people to do with this mess. He watched as the student got into a sitting position now, thinking deelpy of something he didn't wish to know "You know how far the hospital wing is from here? And maybe a Professor? This entire day has just been so..well, roughh." she questioned, still stressed from the situation as a whole "My guess is that it's pretty far from here, so you'll have to try and not freeze to death for now" Percy said back coldly, not really caring about her situation right now. However, another person would soon come up the stairway, a student who he had'n't seen before. She started asking various questions to the downed student, some of which were ridiculous.

He slowly turned around and faced away from the pair, his eyes looked on the view inf front of him "I really messed myself up bad, huh?" the injured girl asked again, almost pitying herself from the incident "You can say that again, you're lucky that clumsy trip didn't do anything further" grunted Percival, who guessed it was due to her tripping rather than "an owl" or someone pushing her "You should worry about the letter more than anything, it could lead you down something far worse" added the Slytherin while he was still facing away, the letter still being held in his right hand.

Great. Just great. This day was going swimmingly and her leg was most probably fracture, broken or whatever the medical term was. If she even dared move it the slightest, a roaring of pain would shoot up her leg all the way to her shoulder. It HURT and that wasn't even the her number one concern right now. "I'll be fine.." She said to the girl trying to force a smile though it was apparent she was anything but that. The cuts, the leg..nope, she wasn't gonna be able to walk this one off. She eyed the bandage longing to take it only if she could. A fellow Gryffindor..they seemed to be getting a lot these days. That's great and hall, buddy but I can't MOVE. She thought to herself darkly. Percival's sold tone sort of caused her to pause as she glanced up at him eyeing the letter in his hand which was now folded in half. He seemed to have a particular interest it and that, for the young Gryffindor was not good. It was probably the worst thing that could happen to her. "Um.."She started before pausing.

Somehow, she was getting the vibe that this was not gonna be as easy as as it looked. She shook her head at Ivy though the thought of aggressive owls was a particular entertaing one. A brief image of Flutters pecking away at her parents flashed through her head. Now, there was a thought that was worth retaining. "Honestly, maybe angry owls would have been preferable over this." She replied wiping away some blood that trickled down her cheek as she glanced at her leg. "I was just..uh..in the Owlery..got a letter..and I wasn't looking where I was going and here we are."She gestured towards the stairs."Nice little fall I had..probably the most dumbest thing I've done." It was a partial lie, partially. She had been in the Owlery, yes but the letter had arrived much..much earlier. "Elena.."She said nodding to Ivy..she seemed a bit more..concerened in a sense. The Slytherin seemed oddly withdrawn and she did not like it one bit.

Percival was right. She had more pressing concerns at the moment. So, he had read it. It wasn't anything she could change at this moment. "Right.."She said still eyeing the letter grasped in his hand. "Uh..can I..uh..have it?" She really was in no positon to move, well..she could technically, it would just cost her a lot of pain and effort. Why the Slytherin was so..keen on whatever the letter told him was beyond her but he knew what was going on now..the one thing she had been trying to avoid. Elena was not the confrontational type so she wasn't about to go off but it worried her. Word got out and word spread fast. she only hoped this particular knowledge wasn't leaked. She had no idea what the Ministry wanted with her but if it was concering Darren, she was going to go. Given her current situation however, she wasn;t sure how achievable that milestone was going to be. Exactly how long were they going to stay here contemplating what to do? Elena was not planning to be out here all day and night leaning against a wall. She would crawl there if she had to.

"Um - are you sure you're alright?" Ivy asked the girl. She hated to sound selfish, but she urgently needed to see if her younger sister had written back to her - the family owl only ever came at this time and it was impatient, waiting only half an hour for Ivy to arrive and get the letter. If she missed it, she would have to wait another week to hear from her sister. If Elena didn't want her there, she may as well leave.

Besides, she looked like she was in the middle of a private conversation with the boy, whose name Ivy was yet to catch. "Do you need my help getting to the Hospital Wing?"

If the answer was no, Ivy would say, "Be more careful, hm?" and move past her to run up the stairs leading to the Owlery to grab the letter off the owl before heading back down, offering Elena a smile as she went past. If the answer was yes, she would stay and talk a little more, and help Elena get to the Hospital Wing as promised. The noble thing would be to stay no matter what the answer was, but Ivy was not a noble person.
If the answer is no, Ivy leaves the thread.

The boy stayed silent as the two girls bickered behind him, his mind almost in a deep thought about something. However, a voice from behind him would soon tear him away "Right..Uh..can I..uh..have it?" she asked him, forcing his head to turn to the right slightly. She was right, maybe it was time to hand back was rightfully hers. He gripped the paper tighter and turned around, slowly walking to the girl that was leaned up against the wall. Percy extended his arm to offer it back, but if she went to take it off him he would suddenly withdraw it slightly "Good luck, I mean it" he said before offering the paper back, allowing her to take it if she chooses to do so "The ministry can be a cruel and unmerciful place at times, not that I know about it myself..." the boy lied, even though who he knew more than what he was supposed to know.

Percy turned back to the other girl who seemed impatient to leave, a small unimpressed crossing his face for a split second "If you are urgent to leave then at least let the nurses know what happened when you get back into the castle, moving her right now wouldn't be feasible." the boy said as he looked back down to the girl, almost with no emotion across his face "But, if she's able to walk we can somewhat get her there ourselves" he wasn't sure on the full extent of her injures, but the fact she was knocked out and not standing at this current moment was a red flag in itself.

Ivy's pale cheeks coloured slightly at the boy's reprimand. "I..." She wasn't quite sure what to say. Alright, it wasn't the best move, leaving Elena on the ground bleeding, and Ivy knew she had to stay, especially after the boy's rebuke. But she didn't quite want to apologize - she was not willing to lower her pride so much - so instead she sat down next to Elena, clarifying that she would stay little longer with a pointed look thrown in the boy's direction. Her sister would just have to wait a little longer for a letter.

"What would you prefer me to do?" she amended quietly. She looked down at Elena. By the looks of her leg, it seemed to be sprained, and would not be easy to move. Even if both of them supported her and helped her hop towards the Hospital Wing, there were so many stairs in the Owlery, and so many hallways, too. She glanced sideways at the boy, wondering if he was thinking the same thing, before continuing, "I do believe that I should have to run for help or something. It really would be difficult to move her."

She nodded at her statement before looking to the other two for confirmation. The last thing Ivy wanted was to offend anyone again by announcing her exit again, although this time, she was doing something for Elena, so perhaps the boy would be more forgiving.

Elena felt a bit..guilty in a sense. The fact that the two had stopped to check on her was nice enough but the way they quarreled over what to with her while she was right there made her feel a bit like a..burden. She took the letter back slowly nodding a thanks to the boy. He was an..interesting type. She cursed her own helplessness silently, it was just like back home. Always in need, always need some form of assistancce, the things she wanted to do she just couldn't do on her own. Control yourself, not here for crying out loud. She slowly clenched and unclenched her fists as if debating whether she should take it upon herself to come up with a solution. "Its..fine. I understand if you have things to attend to, wouldn't want to hold you up."

A thin smile graced her features, obviously faked. She couldn't exactly blame the duo now, could she? They weren't planning to run across a student who had just taken a stumble down the stairs, they were like the masses. Places to be, people to meet. "I can shoot up some sparks or something with my wand, maybe a Professor or someone will see and come investigate." Logically speaking, it wasn't a bad idea but the chances of someone bothering to investigate was not something she wanted to find out. She tucked the letter into her cloak pocket her expression darkening for a moment as she realized even if she got out of this predicament, her troubles were still not over.

"I can try..to..walk." It was one thing to take a beating but to simply accept the solution for what it was just would not do. She eyed the long pathway and corridors that greeted them wincing inwardly. You know, if you break something else along the way, it's just gonna make it worse. Someone had to do something other than throwing ideas back and forth and if she had to take matters into her own hands, so be it. She tried to shift some weight to her legs using her hands to cause herself to stand. Her leg was on fire. It did not like it and it let her know very quickly. "This was harder than expected." She said through gritted teeth clutching the wall for support. This was not humanely possible. It just couldn't be.
