Dear Beatrice,
Hi! I’m Piérre Marchonné, and I’m your Quillpal I guess... I’m really new to this and don’t have very many friends, so I guess this’ll be a good opportunity for me to branch out and talk to other kids my age. Actually, it was Romeo who pushed me into doing this, but I don’t care. He’s pretty insightful, I wouldn’t be surprised if this ends up benefiting me more than being a detriment in the end. By the way, the owl’s name is Zelda, like the Muggle Nintendo game, ‘Legend of Zelda’. Cool right?
I’m eleven years old and I was found on June 6th, 2008. It coincides with an American date called D-Day, which was a really cool event in World War II! Mathilda was a part of it, in France at the time I think!
Anyways, forget about me, what about you? I really like your name. Beatrice means ‘she how brings happiness’ or ‘joy’ in my language, and I know I haven’t seen you face to face, but I’m sure with a name like that, you have to at least have a pretty smile and make other people who meet you happy inside!
I... don’t know what else to really talk about... I’ve talked to Maddie, but she’s like my mom, so that’s not really interesting. I’ve also talked to some people in the Ministry, which is where Mathilda works! Have you ever been there? It’s pretty awesome, let me tell you! There’s a huge hall where everyone comes out of the fireplace in green flames, and some just Apperate, and some even use portkey! Then of course, there are other places which are off limits, but I sneak in there more often than not...
Hey! I got an idea! You wanna explore Hogwarts sometime? You know, like, after curfew? I’ve already sent a toilet seat from the Abandoned toilets, so I’m done there, but I’m sure that there’s something that I could use a partner in pulling off. I hear the Headmaster’s office is a hard place to breach... Maybe we could be the first!
Jeez, I talk way too much. I’m sorry. Maybe we should just worry about getting to know each other first before causing chaos! This is new, so I don’t know if I’m doing this right. Please let me know when you write back!
