Dear Serena Towers,

I'm so glad that I got such a nice person as my Quill Pal. Well, at least you seemto be a nice person, anyway.

My name is Euphrasia (though, I'm sure you already knew that!), but I heavily prefer Millie. I'm in first year, so just barely a year younger than you! I'm to turn 12 this June 11th. I don't like Quidditch too much, but I absolutely love to go on adventures. Even if they aren't in Hogwarts rules! I also love to stay inside. Though, the Gryffindor common room is usually loud and crowded, so I spend my time with my cat Honey, on my bed!

I don't usually write letters, I prefer to dance or play an instrument. I love playing the ukulele and the violin, and while I don't mean to brag, I'm an amazing ballroom and ballet dancer! I've never had a Quill Pal before, though I've written letters to old friends or to maybe my mom or dad. Nobody else in my family though, since they all live in North America.

My favorite subject has to be Defense Against the Dark Arts, or Herbology! What about you? Also- What do you think of the new Flying professor? She seems a bit lop-sided and egotistical to me. Maybe she's not like that, I'm just not sure how to feel about her yet. Was she really a famous Quidditch player?

I'm so pleased to hear from you! I couldn't help but write this reply straight away. I hope you don't mind me calling you 'Millie' then. You're a Gemini, as well? My birthday is on 7th. 

Your Common Room sounds a bit hectic. I'm not sure I'd like a very loud or crowded house. The Hufflepuff one is very warm and cosy. It's a bit messy though. I swear, there's crumbs and pet hair everywhere. But it's a nice house. It makes you feel safe, I guess. It's got good people.

What sort of cat do you have? My grandma has a really cute one that I love to bits. I kind of wish I could bring him to Hogwarts, actually but I'm not sure she would want to part with him for even a day! She's always with him.

I love to dance too! I'm not a huge fan of ballroom or ballet myself, though I do classes for both of them during the school breaks. But I do like dancing, nonetheless. Are you from North America too then? I've never been there myself, what's it like?

I really like DADA too, it's probably one of the most useful classes we have. Professor Begecrey Bercesgray The Flying Prof? I'm not sure, I haven't had a class with her yet. I don't really recognise her name though... I know Professor Ryker was a famous Quidditch player though! My father said that they called him Barnaby the Brute when he played! I am a little sad that he won't be teaching flying classes anymore but hopefully the new professor is qualified too. Is she famous too? Do you know what team she played for?

Dear Serena,

I'm glad you wrote back, though I don't think I'd be able to get mine quite on time. Classes have been crazy, I swear!

Our birthdays are really close, and since I don't know when you'll get this owl, happy birthday! I mean personally, meeting a Gemini friend is cool, is it not? It would have been really funny if we were both born on the seventh? Like birth-day twins, but not really twins. Sorry if this sounds weird, I'm not very good at wording. But it would be cool because the Gemini sign is the twins.

Honey is a Silver Siberian cat. She's quite large, and has big, bright yellow eyes! She's about a year and a half/two years old. We're not entirely sure. I love her all the same. Your grandmother and me might be pretty alike, I don't go anywhere (except classes) without Honey!

The Gryffindor common room is still homey, though not as much as the Hufflepuff common room sounds. I'd love to be able to sit in front of the fire, doing schoolwork, without having someone throw a dungbomb, or some seventh year hexing a first year, and the entire house turning into a fighting zone. Which has happened. Like twice.

Professor Bercegrey Bercegreay Bercegeay has an incredibly hard name to spell. I saw her in the Small Hall when she first arrived. That was a nightmare! She is very conceited, though I shouldn't trash-talk a Professor. She handed me a slip when we first met, and I think she flew with the Holyhead Harpies, which would explain a lot. Apparently the past captain, Gwenog Jones, was really conceited and mean, but don't quote me on that!

North America is pretty much as what everyone says it is. It's not the best place to live, but that's dependent on where you grew up. I grew up here, in England, but everyone else in my family lives there, in Nebraska, and my other part of my family lives in Massachusetts. Though, it doesn't rain every day there! And the weather is pretty nice!

What about you? Did you grow up here in England? Do you have a favorite professor? I'm curious!

Dear Millie,

Thank you for the birthday wishes. I think it would have been great if we were like birth-day twins to match the Gemini twins. I get you, don't worry. I understand what you mean. Honey sounds so cute!! I'd love to meet her one day, she sounds absolutely adorable. Cats are very cute, I love them. Actually, scrap that. All animals are very cute.

You've had someone throw a dungbomb at you??? Wow, the most we've had is like pygmy puff hair. There were sooooo many pygmy puffs in the room when Lear was our Head of House. He filled it. I'm still finding hair everywhere.

Is it Bercegr Bercegeay? That's such a hard name to spell! Oh, that's really disappointing to hear. I was looking forward to flying classes. I'm going to write to my father and ask if he recognises her name then! He would if she was in the Holyhead Harpies. It sounds like a lovely team to be on - one with just girls. Shame to hear about the past captain.

I grew up in London. I have visited some countries like India because I have relatives there. However, I have not been to Nebraska or Masachuc Massachusetts. Rain is nice! I guess I'm actually just very used to rain. It is cold up in Scotland though. But I like rain, it's refreshing. It helps plants grow, it stops fires. It's very useful. I do also love swimming though, so that might be why I enjoy the rain.

I don't really have a favourite professor, to be honest. I like Ryker because he's really good at Quidditch! But I don't know who my favourite would be.

Dear Serena,

I can't believe I am owling so late! My apologies for not getting back sooner, I've been ever so busy with school work.

How many Pygmy Puffs does one man need? I feel like Lear has a lot. My friend said that he had over a million! But, I don't know whether to trust her. She's only been inside his office one time, and said she didn't even see half of them! I guess the little Puffs are cute, but they're small, and really, really gross. I'd rather stick to a cat or a dog. They're cute and not gross.

You've visited India before? It sounds like a pretty place, but I've never been there. The only country I've been to is North America. But, I've also been to Canada for a tiny family trip. I can not begin to tell you how cold it is. It felt like I was in a freezing lake.

You're close to being a third year, right? What's it like, being in Hogwarts for three years? Can you believe that we'll be here for many more years, and make even more adventures? I heard about all the incidents in the past Blossom Balls, do you think they're going to continue it? Personally, it seems weird and unsafe, but maybe that's just my biasness. What about you? Did you attend the first ever Blossom Ball? What happened during it? I've heard rumors, but I'm not sure!

Dear Millie,

Thank you for your letter. You don't need to apologise, it's only been a few days!

I have no idea how many he has but I would not be surprised if he did truly have a million puffs. He seems to have one everywhere. I am surprised they have not taken over the school already. I don't mind the puffs, they are just very very very hairy. There's fur everywhere! I swear I'm spitting out a pink furball every two days.

My family live in India. Well some of them do. My mother is from there. It's very hot, I'm not sure if I like it. It's sticky and gross. Perhaps the exact opposite of Canada, from your description. This was more like being in a pool of lava.

Don't even get me started on the unsafe incidents of this school. I was lucky enough to miss most of the first year ball - and smart enough to avoid this year's. I got to the first one late, after a fire had already taken place. One of the Professors took care of it though. I'm not sure I'm looking forward to all of the adventures but I think third year might be fun. We get a few different subjects to pick from. Elevt Electives, I think they are called. I'm not sure which ones to pick but I have the holidays to think about it. New subjects like Care of Magical Creatures, Muggle Studies or Divinait Dination Divination. There's one or two others too, I think. I need to look into it.

To Serena,

I didn't attend the ball this year, just didn't have enough time. I did go to the Gryffindor ball Professor Wright and Aurelia Bezuidenhout decorated. Jeez, that was a mess. A friend of mine, Marla, and some boy I didn't recognize, got into a huge hissy fit, and people were all insane. It was such a mess! I was able to get me and two friends out, though.

I think for my third year elctiv electives I'd like to choose Ancient Runes and Care of the Magical Creatures. It's a shame they don't offer Arithmancy, I'd absolutely love to take it. I was amazing at math back at the muggle school I used to attend!

Are you attending the Summer Camp here? I will. My parents are visiting family back in America, so I won't be able to go home. I'm not complaining though, it's much more lively and happy here at Hogwarts, even if fights do break out. I don't think I'd be able to live without learning magic here, y'know?

Hogwarts has become my sort of subistute substitute for home, I think I'll miss it when school's over. But I also would love to go to work, and be a wandmaker. It's my dream!

I'm so sorry! I forgot to include the enclosed package in my last owl. It was meant to be a small birthday present but I goofed and got distracted by your letter so forgot to include it. So, sorry for the delay but happy belated birthday. I hope you had a good time. Please find enclosed some sweets that I hope you enjoy.

The Gryffindor ball sounds like a bit of a mess too. I am glad that Hufflepuff have not had one. Though I did hear rumours of upcoming graduation parties. I think one of the huffles is organising our year's one. I don't think I'll go though.

I don't actually know what the Ancient Runes really is about. It sounds a bit boring but I might look into it over the summer. Griffith is odd, I don't know if I like him but I kind of like working with creatures so I'll probably take that one. I'm thrilled we don't have to do maths anymore though. It was so dull!

You mentioned the Summer Camp in your last letter. Do you know what the plans are for it? I was planning to go home. I don't think I'll attend, to be honest. I need to see if my mother will be able to pick me up, though but hopefully she can. I rather just go home and sleep all summer. It seems safer!

You want to be a wandmaker? That's really interesting! I don't really know anything about it. How do you learn about making wands?
