My dearest Bella,

I have made a decision that has been long in the works. I have been thinking about it since the time your father left. We're leaving Notting Hill, and moving to the Coromandel. After your brother passed, I feel like it would be unwise for us to stay in a house with so many memories within the walls - your father was bearable, but your brother will be a lot harder to recover from. Your sister is already struggling enough as it is.


I bought the house last week, so there's no going back now. Me and Abi have been packing since then, and Notting Hill is already on the market. We'll be moving over the weekend - everything of yours is already packed (don't worry, I didn't forget anything an your room will be set up exactly the way it is now).

Your going to love it there. It's beautiful. Perfect for you to surf, maybe you can teach Abi as well. I know you haven't been out in a while, since your father took you actually, but you were so good at it. And I'd love for you to get back into it. The beach is only a few minutes walk away, and you can see the ocean from your new bedroom window.

I know it's a lot to ask, but please just try to like it and be excited. I'm doing the best I can to make a new life for us.
