So this is somewhat unorthodox, I'll admit. I really haven't spoken much with you this year, and I don't think I ever properly thanked you for helping me back in February. I really appreciated your show of concern. I might not have seemed like it at the time, so if I said anything to make it seem like I didn't, I'm sorry about that. It was really nice of you to go out of your way to show concern, though. So.. thanks.
You might also already be aware of this by now, but I heard a little bit from Flash about how he and you put your heads together to try to puzzle out some of the things going on around the school. This happened just before the Blossom Ball. It was honestly a pleasant surprise. I'd only decided to attend the ball with the hope of being able to track down a little more information, or at least to notice anything or anyone out of place. I would have been terribly surprised if things hadn't fallen into chaos. And, of course, they did; although not quite in the way that I was expecting.
What was also a surprise to me was to find out that Flash was attending for similar reasons. So he made me aware, at least to some degree of what was going on. Even still, I thought it was very brave of you to attend with Vladimir. It's partly because of this that I wanted to reach out to you. I've been trying to find other lions to work with to try to figure out some of the mystery of the strange happenings around Hogwarts, but have been struggling to find anyone willing to pull their egos out of their own superficial business long enough to do so. I was wondering if maybe you would like to meet sometime? Talk things over? I'd be very interested to hear what you know about everything. Even just to hear your account of what happened at the ball would probably be very enlightening.

I would lie if I said that I am not surprised to hear of you again, our last meeting on Valentine's day was a rather uncomfortable one for you, I believe. About my help, it's no big deal really, an impulse that I dare connect to my good mood from that day. I don't think that if I witnessed something like that now, I would think of helping immediately, the last month were very exhausting.
I did not know about Flash and you talking and frankly it surprises me to say the least. Concern fits better. Flash knows many of the things I know, things that could ruin me if the wrong people heard them. Decipio, I am going to be honest about the things I feel safe being honest about and remain silent about everything else, so you can be assured that I won't lie to you in this letter, but that I also kept many things to myself.
Yes, Vladimir invited me to the ball and deliberately unsettled me there. I had an interrogation plan with some others. A plan that failed due to that thoughtless attack of your housemate D'Spacito, I guess you know him. From that point everything turned into chaos, the mosps doing their part to add to that.
I can tell you more if we meet, but I don't feel safe putting more things on paper. I got myself deeper into this chaos than I should have and I just want to run hide distance myself from this a little. I was to reckless with this from the beginning and my house had to pay the price. For their sake I will continue trying to solve this, I owe it to them, but I don't want to get into the center of attention again. If I am honest, I think that I am lucky that I survived to this point.
How do you think about meeting me at the lake this evening an hour before dinner?
The upcoming exams and the studying are a most welcome distraction to me, good luck to you as well.
