Dear Delilah,
I hope your summer is going well. I do apologize for not corresponding with you more over the past few months. We have both been busy, I suppose, but it is no excuse. After all, we're Quill Pals! We can make up for the time we've lost now during the final month of summer I hope. I feel as though I know very little about you! Other than seeing you in passing in the corridors and in a few classes, I don't think we've interacted at all!
I've just arrived home from the Hogwarts summer camp. It was quite a lot of fun, but I do have to admit it's nice to be home, even if it's not the same home I'm used to coming home to (it's a long story that I can explain in another letter if you really want me to). Enough about me though, how are you doing? What have you been doing in the summer? Forgive me for saying, yet again, that I feel as though we don't know each other very well, if at all, so seriously, tell me everything about yourself! I can't wait to get to know you better!

Sorry for not replying before now, I was on a trip with some other friends and didn't get home until now. Unfortunately we have both been busy, but it's good we are getting to talk now, maybe we could even meet up when school starts up again, that would be nice. But no, I don't think we have really talked before.
I've been doing pretty well, I love hogwarts but there's no place like home. Since you asked about me, I'll tell you. I like reading, studying, listening to music, all sorts! Okay, that isn't really all sorts, I am just a bookworm haha. As you can probably guess from the address, I live in a little village that for some reason doesn't have a name, despite how old it is. I live with my Granny and she's my best friend in the whole wide world.
Now you are obliged to tell me about yourself, wow, obliged, that's a fancy word, I could have just asked but oh well. I also can't wait to get to know you better,I'm sure we will be great friends!

No worries! I hope your trip was fun, and I completely understand being busy. This whole week I was in London, so I would have been unable to respond to your letter if you had send one. Nevertheless, I am glad we have less hectic schedules now. It will be good to get to know each other before the beginning of the school year.
Wow! I can't imagine living in such a small town. For most of my life, I've lived in London with my parents, but due to some...complications with my family, my mother, sister, and I moved to Camberley. While it's not as big as London is, it's still quite a populated place. It must be so nice and peaceful where you live. I love reading as well! For the first few weeks while I was at Hogwarts, I pretty much spent all of my time reading and studying. I wasn't much of a social person at the beginning...and I'm still not the greatest at making conversation. I love music as well! I particularly like Broadway showtunes, which might seem a bit odd considering I don't live in America, but my father got me hooked on them! Besides showtunes, I absolutely love jazz! Listening to it reminds me of maple syrup for some reason. Do you play any instruments? I play the piano, flute, trombone, and guitar. Back in London I was homeschooled and had to fill my days with something, so I learned instruments and read books! What did you do in your free time?
