Dear Miss Pendrast;

I am reaching out to you regarding a concerning matter. One of your Prefects back in February witnessed the assault of an Auror, Mr. VanCleaf by another student who attacked him with an Incendio. She stole the nurse's wand that was thrown during the fray. Incidentally I was there, my friend had been recently released from St. Mungos and suffered a maddening effect similar to the event that transpired during the Masquerade Ball. I was given a detention, I do not believe any of the other students were punished for their assault and the Prefect for her theft. While I do believe that my punishment was unfair, I did in fact raise a wand to another student and cast the Flippendo Charm on them. I defer to your judgement on that matter, I did endure a detention but I did feel that the detention I was given was inappropriate. I was to clean the Owlery with chopsticks and if I dropped any of the droppings the Prefect (who gave me the detention and stole the wand) Xailah Alptraum was going to cast upon me a spell of her choice. I did clean the Owlery using muggle means to do so as I felt that it was a dutiful response, however I feel that she is using her position abusively and that the incident regarding myself will not be isolated. I refused to consent to having spells cast at me at her whim, I feel that stepped over a line.

I am willing to divulge these truths under potion or through the use of pensive. I have nothing to hide in this matter.
