Prim awoke drowsily in the hands of a person she could not yet identify, but who was running very fast. Her head was pounding and she couldn't quite feel her legs. She looked down at the scrapes on her hands. They were so close to healing up but now they were bleeding again.

Though Prim was hurting she was curious of who was her source of travel. Wow. Why need a broom when I've got extremely fast mystery people.  "Um, who is this?" Prim's voice came out tiny and very hard to hear, and she was tempted to just let this person carry her without saying another word. Then she realized it could be a teacher. Vernatis "WHO IS THIS!?!?!" Prim nearly shouted terrified of the thought that her charms teacher could be carrying her.

Prim tried to take a better look at the figure, but she couldn't make them out. Plus her head was pounding so hard. She guessed it was from when she yelled. This all was so weird. Prim had no idea who she was being carried by, where she was, where she was going,-though she hoped it was the hospital wing because her head hurt-and why this person was going so fast.

The figure looked down looked up again then turned a wall shoving open a door. She set Prim down on a bed  then ran of further into the room. Then Prim's world went black.

Rafa’s ribs were hurting.

He was trying to ignore it – he really was. He wasn’t the one to fold when things hurt. Hell, he could take a hit. He had walked home with terribly bloody noses, and even worse bruises. Pain didn’t stop him – he could handle it.

He couldn’t handle this. It was a different kind of pain – it was agonizing, to the point where it was hard to breathe. His ribs were throbbing. His breath came wheezy, his mind getting foggy. He wasn’t sure how much more he could take.

He knew something was really wrong when is nose started bleeding. He had been talking to Wren, in a very civil manner. He had given her that pencil she asked for, and had been updating her on the events that went down in the bathroom. His last comment had been something relating to ‘that racist b****’, when he felt it leaking down his face. The blood, that is. His mind became terribly foggy, and he staggered, catching himself on the corridor wall.

The next minute was a blur. He felt like he was going to puke, or something. Oh, it hurt so, so bad. He wasn’t exactly sure when he showed up in the hospital wing – he wasn’t even sure if Wren was still with him. He just found a bed to sit on, and made himself comfortable, his arms fastened firmly around his ribs. He clenched his jaw, tears leaking from his eyes. He wasn’t crying – it was only a reaction to the pain.

He turned his head to the side, taking view of another person in the wing. It was a bit hard to focus, his mind fogging up the way that it was. But, after a moment, he recognized her. It was Prim. I only saw her minutes ago. What is she doing here? What happened? His mind instantly floated back to the library, and Saoirse. Somehow, he felt as if it were her fault. A flare of anger went up in his stomach. What did Prim do to deserve this?

Saoirse stopped, she was short of breath and absolutely miserable. Bent her leg the wrong way while running, blood coursing down her arms and legs, and the cuts felt horrible. She had managed to draw a nurse's attention towards Primrose and that was good enough, before being placed on a bed herself.
However the temperamental Irish refused to go down that easily, she forced the nurses away from her until they treated poor, little Primrose. And they did, all while Saoirse watched patiently, and once they were done. They took care of her, the blood was gone, her leg felt fine, and the cuts, she asked to stay were there too.

Her legs swung back and forth, building up a distant friction. Wind between the bottom of her legs made her think of all the times she patiently waited for her father to return home after a double shift, all those years, all those nights ago. It made Saoirse happy, like a little sunshine it up in her heart, it shined it's light on everything else, and would only set when it wanted too. It was like a mini dance of joy up and down her heart, it made her feel all sorts of warm and fuzzy inside, it made her feel like her again.

Yet this feeling could not stop reality, and the most recent reality was Mr. Offended walking straight in with Blondie behind him and immediately staring Saoirse down, just as Prim began to stir.

Prim woke up her vision blurry. She slowly sat up, her arms and legs aching in a bruise-like sort of manner. The cuts on her hands were wrapped up with freshly changed bandages and she had a small bandage on her forehead.

Prim looked around her vision finally coming into focus. She had no idea where she was. This room was unfamiliar and it smelled like a hospital. Hospital. Prim looked around noticing the beds with patients in them and the nurses walking around with medicine or bandages in their hands. I must be in the Hospital Wing!

Prim shifted her position and noticed next to her was her friend Saoirse. "Saoirse!" she tried, though her voice came out as a sort of gurgle. Saoirse's head jerked around laughing by the befuddled look on Prim's face because of the interesting noise that had come out of her mouth.

Saoirse's smile immediately faded as she caught Prim's other friend Rafa glaring at her from another hospital bed. Everything exploded in Prim's mind. Remembering the fight, and Rafa and Saoirse's anger towards each other---no doubt they were enemies now---and the split second before Prim could remember nothing as Saoirse charged toward Prim. Oh, and she also remembered being carried through the hall. Was that Saoirse who was carrying Prim? Saoirse was definitely strong enough.

"Rafa!" Prim called out. There was no answer so Prim just guessed he couldn't hear her. Prim looked back over at Saoirse and noticed all the cuts and bruises she had acquired. She looked back toward Rafa and saw him clutching his ribs as he adjusted his position.

Prim immediately felt responsible for all that had happened. I should have tried harder to get them to stop fighting. Prim was genuinely worried. Rafa hurting. That seemed impossible. Prim got up and walked over to Rafa though she was quite sore. She sat on the bed next to his her head toward the floor. "Hey Rafa. Um, I'm sorry.

Rafa had been telling Wren everything that had gone down in the library. From Saoirse knocking him down to when she jumped on him. To Wren it looked like she might have broken a few of his ribs.

Saoirse was a bitch. That much was evident to Wren. She had seen Saoirse around and they were even in the same club, but after what she did to Rafa, Wren didn't think she could ever be friends with her again. Obviously Saoirse had anger issues and cared more about some people than others. Primrose and Saoirse were evidently best friends, and Primrose even looked happy to see that Saoirse had come to see how she was, but Prim should have called her off Rafa.

As Wren walked to the hospital wing she thought of how RAfa had looked when she had left him. He had mentioned that his chest was hurting a bit, to Wren it was pretty obvious that Saoirse had broken a few of his ribs and it was hurting pretty bad, though she didn't think that he would admit it to anyone, being the person he was.

Wren and Rafa had pretty much hit it off as soon as they got to Hogwarts and had been sorted so Wren could tell Rafa's emotions pretty well. She decided to straight up ask him, even if he did not want to tell her. So Wren being the talkative person she was asked "How're you feeling? Does your chest hurt bad? It sure looks like it does." Seeing that he probably was not going to respond as he was very obviously in pain. Wren decided that she would just leave. She had done what she had come to do which was to see how Rafa was, so now it was time for her to leave. She got up from the chair she had sat down in, muttered a quick goodbye to Rafa, and walked out on the boy in the bed.

Rafa’s train of though was interrupted by the voice of an angel. "Saoirse!" Prim said – she didn’t exactly sound like an angel at the moment. She looked in pain, but seemed to be making the best out of a ruddy situation. Rafa couldn’t help but glare at Saoirse – it upset him that Prim could just forgive her that easily. She had exploded all over Rafa, not caring about the damage she made. She’d even gotten Prim hurt in the process. Yet, there she was, chatting it up with the other girl as if absolutely nothing had happened. He supposed it was just her kind, loving nature, but still.

“Rafa,” Prim said to him suddenly, and he turned his head to face her. His nose was still bleeding a bit, so he wiped it with his sleeve. She looked pretty KO’d – especially mentally. A sad sort of shadow seemed to fall over her face. “Hey Rafa. Um, I'm sorry.”

This confused Rafa quite a bit. “You’re.. you’re what?” he asked incredulously. He started to let out a laugh, but it hurt his ribs too much, and he ended up coughing – which also hurt his ribs. He laid back in his bed, cheeks flushed, biting his lip as to not say anything explicit.

It was then that Wren spoke up – apparently, she was with them. "How're you feeling?” she asked. “Does your chest hurt bad? It sure looks like it does."

Rafa found this question to be quite funny – his nose was bleeding and he tears were literally leaking from his eyes. And she asked him that question. He grinned slightly in spite of himself, a laugh about to bubble out. Unfortunately, the pain worsened, and he started mumbling in Spanish. “Dios, duele tanto. Mi cabeza está girando tanto…” he muttered just under his breath, low enough that someone could hear it if they tried. His thoughts were so mixed up right now… it was hard to think in English…

"You're.. You're what?" he asked looking surprised. Prim was honestly surprised that he didn't realize what she was talking about. She rolled the bed past Wren and stopped it right next to Rafa which hurt her sore limbs but she didn't really care. She felt so bad.

"Rafa I'm sorry because this is all my fault! You're in so much pain and it's because of me! I should have snuck off to the library with you more quietly. I should have calmed down Saoirse before it got the way it got. I should have tried harder to stop her when she was hurting you. I-I should have done something."

It only made Prim feel worse when Wren walked over asking him. "How're you feeling? Does your chest hurt bad? It looks like it does." This nearly brought Prim to tears when she looked at Rafa seeing the tiny drops of water coming from the corner of his eyes signaling that he was in pain.

Out of nowhere a nurse spoke out from behind him. "Miss you need to get back to your bed," she said. Disappointment draped across Prim's face as she walked away a single tear sliding down her face. "Sorry," she mumbled.

Prim walked over to her bed in the hospital wing truly feeling as if she had lost a friend. Possibly her best friend. No, she thought. Definitely my best friend.

It felt horrible, everything felt horrible. That whole ordeal, and then just watching Prim come back with pain in her eyes, Saoirse knew it was her fault. "...Prim..." she left up her hand and went to hug her friend, "I'm so sorry, Prim...you've done nothing wrong, it's all my fault. I shouldn't have hit him, I shouldn't have reached and touched you, I shouldn't have gotten so angry. I'm stupid, stupid, stupid." Tears flooded Saoirse's eyes, she was truly too young to understand what she was feeling but she comprehended it enough to know that it wasn't doing her justice at all.

Saoirse sat Prim back down on her bed, gently, taking out one of her Pebbles For Friends and placing it in Prim's hand she began her march of sorrow. Towards him, towards the boy she had caused so much damage to, she brushed past Blondie and looked at Rafael. Placing the last of her pebbles in his hand, she did the very last action her impulse told her she should. Saoirse wrapped her arms around Rafael, pulling him into a hug.

"I'm so sorry, Rafael. I know it's all my fault, I know I can't undone the damage I've done, I'm sorry for being an idiot, I'm sorry for hurting one of the greatest lights of our world, it's not her fault. I know it's mine. I can't do anything else but apologize now, it's too late, and I'm sorry for my temper and stupidity, I don't deserve forgiveness but you deserve an apology, I hope your healing goes well. I'm so so so so sorry..." Saoirse let go of him and ran for the door, ignoring the nurse screaming for her to get back.

The feeling that came to Rafa after Prim’s sudden outburst was absolutely dreadful – his stomach was twisting in ways he didn’t think were physically possible. It was true that Prim probably could have done all of those things, but this situation was in no way her fault. It was Saoirse’s. That redhead had cause them so much pain, and with every passing moment, it got easier and easier to hate her –

He was absolutely taken aback by Saoirse’s reaction, though.

She had completely exploded – not in the way that one releases their pent-up anger. No, she was crying. She was crying over Prim with apologies, tears actually leaking from her eyes. The remorse was evident on her face as she came over to Rafa. A stone was spontaneously set in his palm. She suddenly wrapped her arms around him. He impulsively cringed away from her – he didn’t like her or anything, and here she was trying to hug him or something… it felt wrong…

"I'm so sorry, Rafael,” she told him, her voice full of sadness. “I know it's all my fault, I know I can't undone the damage I've done, I'm sorry for being an idiot, I'm sorry for hurting one of the greatest lights of our world, it's not her fault. I know it's mine. I can't do anything else but apologize now, it's too late, and I'm sorry for my temper and stupidity, I don't deserve forgiveness but you deserve an apology, I hope your healing goes well. I'm so so so so sorry...”

She immediately ran out the door, not waiting for an answer. Which just wasn’t fair – she couldn’t do that. She just couldn’t do that. The whole situation enraged Rafa – why did she get to apologize? What did she think would happen? Did she expect him to just forgive her or something? Rafa stared at the stone in his hands, a strange sort of anger welling up in the pits of his stomach. “Dammit!” he yelled spontaneously, throwing the rock as hard as he could. It hit the wall on the other side of the room. His heart was twisting in unfamiliar ways. You want a conscience now? He thought angrily. Are you shitting me, or something? His fingers twisted on the rails of the gurney, his teeth clenched. “Nurse,” he growled, trying to shake the little event from his head.

Though, he already seemed to have the nurse’s attention. “Young man!” she huffed rather angrily, before coming over to him with her wand. “You will do well to avoid throwing things in my Hospital Wing!” she shook her head without a further thought, and began the long and agonizing process of fixing his broken ribs.

Though the agony lasted a bit, he did well to conceal it to the best of his ability. His teeth stayed clenched, and he swallowed his grief. She finished soon enough, and he picked himself up, rubbing his sore abdomen. It was still a bit black, but the pain was mostly gone. Biting his lip, he turned to Prim, who was still laying in her bed. “Erm,” he mumbled, rubbing his neck. He wasn’t the best apologist, he noted. Yes, his ego was well-guarded. Admitting he was wrong was like slapping himself in the face. “I’m sorry,” he muttered nonetheless. “I didn’t mean for you to get hurt or anything.” It was funny, because after that, he really couldn’t find anything to say to her. He shook his head, offering her a sort of remorseful look. Not having anything left to say, he left the room without a second glance – once again, not checking to see if Wren was behind him.

Prim sat back down on her bed, only to turn around seeing Saoirse crying. Oh no. Prim thought, the confident side coming over her body. I will not allow this. Prim got up and walked right over to Saoirse, meeting her in the middle of their hospital beds, for it seemed Saoirse had the same idea. "Prim," she said hugging her. "I'm so sorry Prim, you've done nothing wrong, it's all my fault. I shouldn't have hit him, I shouldn't have reached and touched you, I shouldn't have gotten so angry. I'm stupid, stupid, stupid."

"Oh, no you don't, " Prim said forcefully. "You may have made a big mistake but I have never once seen my Irish friend cry. I will not sit here and watch it happen. I can't bear it and I won't!" Saoirse acted as if nothing happened, and walked right past Prim which just made her upset. "Saoirse what's wrong?"

To Prim's absolute surprise Saoirse ran over and hugged Rafa. Wait what? Prim saw Saoirse's mouth moving saying words Prim could not quite make out, then she ran out of the door. "Saoirse!" Prim called.

Then Prim saw out of the corner of her eyes a stone being thrown at the wall, then Rafa's enraged shout. "Dammit!" he yelled. Prim ran over to Rafa so confused and determined at the same time. "Rafa, what the heck was that?" she asked. Before Prim got an answer a nurse pulled her away with some weird lotion as another nurse came over to Rafa yelling.

"Sorry, about that," she said nervously. "She can get...temperamental." Prim sighed and laid back as the nurse picked up her wand, and muttered a spell. The lotion immediately flew to her arms and legs giving her instant relief from her pain. Ahhhhh. "Thank, you!" Prim muttered quietly.

Prim jerked up to the sound of a slamming door as she looked up at Rafa's empty bed. Oh no. I will not leave it off like this. "Thank you," Prim said once again gratefully. Prim ran out the door looking for Rafa. "Rafa!," Prim called. "We need to talk."
