The Party's Over
@Katrina Walker (as dNPC Iris Field) | Starts in front of the Ballroom
"Stop saying you're fine. You're obviously not if you keep passing out. I'll help you get to the nurse's office." Teiki's tone had taken a soft scolding, slightly perturbed that Iris had simple lost consciousness at the party. She was sure it was the party, but Iris still hadn't recovered. Teiki was worried, and with that, tired.Teiki and Iris had been at the Masquerade Ball, talking as strangers would, trying to stay away from the other dangers that had emerged. Of course, this wasn't entirely possible at such a large party. The loud noises, stuffiness knocked Iris unconscious, to which Teiki tried to get help and remove her from the ballroom. She succeeded, but could only carry the girl to outside of the ballroom. Iris has been in and out of consciousness.
"I'm sorry, just tired. Here, grab my hand, I'll help pull you up. You get used to standing up, then we'll try to tackle the stairs. Okay?" Teiki extended her hand, ready to put all the strength (very little) into helping the Third Year up. She knew that it might take a few tries to actually get Iris to stand, but it was important that the older girl got to the nurse's office.

@Teiki Laurent Sorry for the late response. The third year gladly used the first year's help standing up. Struggling a pathetic amount to stay upright. "Thanks," Iris breathed, her usually loud voice not present.
Iris struggled up the stairs, fooling no-one of the state she was in. She desperately clutched the railing for fear that if she let go, she would fall. Just one more step. Just one more step. Almost there. Iris wondered why she had passed out. Was she really that weak? The only time she had passed out before was when she crashed her bike.Iris was lurched back into reality as she missed a stair and barely recouped and kept herself from falling. The rest of the stairs were easier than the first few. She finally made it to the last step down and waited to see where she was supposed to go next."Somebody, help!" Iris lay crying with her foot stuck in the bicycle. "Help!" She had just learned from her sister who was obsessed with Muggle bicycles how to ride it. She had hit a gravel patch and lost control of the bike. One wheel was sticking strait up still spinning. She saw her sister run toward her and everything went black.
"You are alright." Iris' mom leaned over her, "I already healed it." Kaley's wand was still out. "You passed out from the overwhelming pain, you are alright now."

Teiki was not used to having to be the strong one. She was known more for observations, quiet, well- not quiet anymore. But she made sure that the Third year had all the stability she needed, for she didn't want the girl to go tumbling down the stairs. She didn't need any other injuries.
"You're welcome. It's only one floor. We've got this." Teiki smiled, watching Iris. She noticed when the other girl seemed to fade into her own space. She was oddly impressed that she managed to make it up most of the steps, until she almost tripped, stumbling a bit. But she caught herself, with not too much help from Teiki. They had made it down to the hallway.
Teiki directed the other girl through the hallway and into the Hospital Wing. She had been around here just enough to know where it was, but she hadn't ever stayed inside for any period of time. Ignoring the other beds, she looked for one that had no occupants, before helping Iris to settle down on that bed.
"You wait here, I'm going to tell the nurse what happened. It was from the noise and stuffiness, right? Or was it something else?" Teiki didn't really feel like she was in the position to pry, as she had only met Iris at the ball, but she knew that it might help the nurse.

The Party's Over
Iris was winded from such a short walk and was slightly worried about it all. There was an ominous thumping from upstairs and a loud voice echoed down. The voice was drowned out by Teiki. Iris was so tired-- if she could just close her eyes.
"Ya, I-I don't know," Iris winced for her voice stuttered. She wished that she hadn't passed out. Hopefully she wasn't sick or poisoned or something horrible. She heard more worrying noises from upstairs and was guilty about feeling glad about leaving when they could.
Iris lied back on the sterile and crinkly bed. The world began to spin again and waves of nausea crashed over her. The Thunderbird felt like she was being tossed in a violent storm on the ocean gasping for air. Not again! The hospital room swirled in a waterspout and swirled into dark depths. She began to loose hope and drown in the darkness of unconsciousness.
She could vaguely hear an urgent voice, was it reality? Was it a dream? Was reality a dream? Were dreams real? What happens when you fall asleep? All of thoughts became a muddled mess and reality slipped away. The darkness welcomed her with open arms.

You can Godmod the nurse. Sorry about her pathetic passing outs. I was thinking the nurse could just put a cold pack on her forehead and give her a potion possibly. @Teiki Laurent

It hadn't taken long for Iris to pass out again. It was something that Teiki's heart couldn't take for much longer. Despite the two having only seen each at the ball, she considered Iris a friend, and it hurt her to see a friend that looked to be constantly in pain. She winced, before quickly walking over to the nurse who was busy helping someone else. Luck seemed to be in her favor for once, because the nurse finished and turned, seeing Teiki in a somewhat panicked state.
"Um, Iris, the girl over there, she's really nauseated, and she keeps passing out." Teiki quickly recited the words, before trailing the nurse, talking a little about the possible reasons. Having reached the end of her stream of information, she wandered back over to Iris's table, as the nurse came back with a cold pack and some elixir.
"Calm down, dear. Each patient takes their own time. She'll probably be fine in a few moments, but others take longer. Just leave her be." The nurse did what she was supposed to do, before leaving to attend other patients. Teiki wrung her hands a bit, an odd habit that she had created just for the occasion. She had probably just copied her mother, but her worry was still very real.

Iris was glad she didn't have to talk. Her voice was already scratchy and hollow. The nurse quickly got some items and handed them. Katrina sat up and swung her legs over the edge. She drank the elixir. It tasted like sour honey driped on a sidewalk and left out in the sun too long. She made a disgusted face at it and left the rest on the table beside her. Iris stood slowly and made sure she was steady on her feet before taking a few steps.
She hugged Teiki in the moment. She let go a bit quickly and said, "Thank you a lot. You really are a great friend." It seemed like the right thing to do. Iris lifted a hand and put the ice pack on her head. "I think I should head back. Can you come with me?" she thanked the nurse on her way out.
The way back was a bit slow. But Iris really thought they had the beginning of a good solid friendship. "Through all of that, I am glad you are the one that was with me. Thank you." Iris gave her another quick hug before she ducked into the room she was staying in.

The blue eyes were filled with concern. She watched Iris carefully, making sure she didn't seem to be in pain. But, the elixir did its work quickly and effectively. Soon the other girl was standing up besides her bed. Teiki didn't notice any signs of the older girl seeming "out of it."
She jumped a bit in surprise, but hugging Iris back. She hadn't really expected that to happen, but felt grateful for the little bit of warmth... that wasn't coming from fires. She hoped the others were doing alright. It had been the best decision to leave them behind, but she hoped the others weren't injured because of it.
"I'm glad you're feeling alright now. Of course." She nodded, the words heartfelt despite their common connotation. They weren't some false words of security, but rather a sign of relief and gratitude. She walked with Iris, most of her attention on the Third Year. After a while, she relaxed a bit more, certain the Ilvermorny student wouldn't fall unconscious again. They found their way back, Iris giving her a quick hug before entering back into the room.
Teiki hadn't had enough time to say anything in response, but her eyes started watering. The Masquerade Ball had been rough, something she hadn't expected and wasn't ready for it. But through it, she was able to help someone, and hopefully gain a friendship that would continue. It was surprising, so she stood there for a few moments longer, before leaving.
Teiki Laurent leaves the thread.
