Living Children
In life we create a facade supported by our gestures, expressions, actions, words and even choice of clothes. We are to the world what we allow them to perceive, even our weakness and infirmity, nothing more than the side of us we wish the world to know. But on that cold metal gurney, in the absence of covering cloth, a brave face and power over word and limb we are to the world what we are most naturally. Our disease, debility, insecurities and short-comings that we hold most clandestine all exposed.
A trudging noise would breech the silence of these halls. Hush, the children... the debilitated... are sleeping. The Headmaster Professor Solomon Lear was a large man, not rotund but strong. He did not seem nearly as vital when he sat behind that desk, mostly because the desk represented a limbo for the former adventurer. It was this strange place between life and death. The antagonistic force between a man's dying breath and a newborns first gasping cry. The children that he carried looked like victims of a war, not a teakettle accident.
Only one flight of stairs. He might have carried more than one, [no idea how many people are injured] the body of a pre-teen was like a sack of groceries. Bloody groceries. Of course with time, the injuries would be more pronounced. Time would only demonstrate their damages more profoundly as hematomas formed in mid-section, specifically the flanks. Defensive wounds scabbing on both arms but being ripped open through movement during this relocation on their arms, and perhaps deeper gashes could be noted where the shrapnel ripped into them readily.
By all rights someone could have and perhaps should have been killed. This was not a kind incident, recent burn marks mingled with fresh lacerations punctuated these children's dire conditions. Solomon would lean forward and shrug his shoulder, relinquishing one child to a bed. It did not matter how sick they were, they were not going to cohabitate.
"Nurse!" Solomon bellowed.

Continuation From Here.
Donny was alive. Alive, but barely alive. He was sore enough that he couldn't move his body. It was either that, or he was too scared to furthermore damage his bleeding wounds. His vision was very blurry, is head sore, like he'd been thrown around, and punched in the back of the head. He had a vision of a girl with golden brown hair, was it "Koko"? He wasn't sure, but he could see the headmaster pacing around in his odd suit of armor, clanking.
The nurse came over to him, a very worried face, sweating. he could only hear distant voice muffles, and his head was spinning, but the blackout was gone, and his wounds were already being tended to with a clean sponge, and a soft rag. He filched a little, but bit down hard on his teeth to dial down the pain. His head felt very light, it felt as is he'd lost a pint of blood. He began to utter something, but he couldn't hear himself. It ended up coming out something like, "Wha' who, ouuch..." It was then followed by another black out, and some snoring. He felt a remedy be forced down his throat. He almost spit it out, it tasted of dead fish, and prunes, but the nurse held him down with a soft sponge. He opened his eyes again, looking at the other injured students being carried to their beds...

She had followed them down to the Hospital Wing after trying to drag the male Hufflepuff from the Lavatory. She felt somewhat bad about not helping more, but she herself was also injured, and, as she hated to think, she wasn't the most athletic person in the world.
Donnovan... Koko committed the name to memory. He was coming to now, and Koko couldn't help but be worried. Kaegen... He had caused so many injuries. Koko sat on the edge of the bed nearest to Donnovan, sighing heavily. A nurse hustled over. "Dearie, would you like something to help numb the pain? You'll probably need stitches," said the nurse as she took in Koko's injuries. Koko grimaced at the thought of Muggle stitches.
"Couldn't you just use a spell to help?" Koko asked.
"Perhaps I could... Just... lay still," the nurse said, gesturing for Koko to lie down. Koko did so, and she felt part of the fabric of her leggings being sliced off so that her leg could be bandaged. Soon, she had bandages on her ribs and thigh, and she also had a slightly more numb mouth than before. The nurse then went to work on her sore jaw, but she couldn't do anything.
"Just go easy while eating," the nurse instructed.
Koko looked over at Donnovan. "A-are you okay?" she asked quietly.

Ruby sat on the edge of a caramel-haired girl's bed. I hope Koko's okay... She thought bitterly. She bit her lip so hard it started bleeding. She licked her lips and moved on.
"Koko... I really hope this 'Kaegen' incident doesn't rub off on our house points"
Ruby knew Koko probably didn't care, but her way of getting through trauma was to talk. Talk, talk, and talk. Even though Kaegen had nearly killed several students and hurt her 'friend' badly, she couldn't help feeling pity for him. "This isn't going to be fun" Ruby sighed.
She herself hadn't been injured, but Koko had large wounds. Ruby had managed to walk in when the fight had been over.
You see, Ruby doesn't call people friends. She just calls them 'friends' with air quotes or 'close aquatints'. But that didn't matter right now.
Ruby gazed over at Donnovan Periwinkle. She had heard about him from gossip all over school. She knew most students in 'The Incident' were harmed, and that made Ruby feel selfish. She normally didn't care about other peoples' feelings, but she somewhat felt responsible for The Incident. Yes I have capitalized the incident... I know I am confusing just stick with me
Whatever may have happened, there was no way she could be held accountable for The Incident. She had just happened to be passing by a calamity in the bathroom, or was there a deeper and mysterious part to this story?

Interacting with @Koko Riddle
Donny shuddered and swallowed the horrible substance, his wounds felt like they were closing in. "This will just be a little cold alright?" the nurse asked, pulling up Donny's wounds and examining them. "Pretty deep. Hm, well, hold your breath..." she said, pouring an icy cold substance on his chest wound. "Eh, shoot!" he yelled, his body flinching as the liquid hit him. Then the now familiar golden brown haired slytherin came up to his bedside,
Donny thought, and mustered enough strength and energy to reply, "Uh, yeah. Y-you?" he blurted, his head still spinning with the effects of blood loss, and the remedies. He had a cloth patch come under his rib cage. Koko hadn't yet replied when a girl with Blond-ish hair walk in hurriedly and over to Koko."A-are you okay?"
Donny was confused! Of all the things she's worried about, it's house points!? Donny's grandfather sure would have something to say about this slytherin girl, but Donny tried not to be prejudice. If anything, Koko was the nicest Slytherin he'd ever met, but this...girl? Donny was pretty un-conscious in a sense, but he could say something. But all he could do was think, Maybe if you thought less about you stupid house points, then maybe someone might not think twice about getting to know you...but all that came out was a grunt and a grimace."Koko... I really hope this 'Kaegen' incident doesn't rub off on our house points"

Sunlight filled the well lit room through panes of leaded glass. Neat rows of black iron beds with clean, tight sheets with a perfectly uniform, almost military setting. The Hospital Wing only staffed a handful of nurses, this year they were earning their keep. The students were more a danger to themselves than society. It was sadly a somewhat familiar scene, a tired and stressed Headmaster, several injured or unconscious students.
Solomon paced back and forth, wearing a metaphorical groove in the marble floor in front of the double doors that led to this wing. The students would ultimately rouse, they were fine or at the very least as fine as a bloodied student could be. He was relieved, but his stomach remained in knots. The Headmaster had already prematurely aged a great deal, these students were not helping matters any.
The students would discuss house points as if that was a priority. Solomon would stand in the background and simply listen. A man can learn a lot about someone when they forget that there might be other people listening. "Preferably without tears..." Solomon would announce in a firm voice. "What happened down there." The tears and the blood tracked in my the student that summoned him was still fresh in his mind. "I was told a Ravenclaw, Kaegen Deathmote was responsible for this... disaster." Disaster seemed to be the most apt term he could think of.

Aurelia, the poor Gryffindor, she barely had any experience as a prefect yet she had to stumble across that bloody abandoned bathrooms. The brunette had attempted to help a Hufflepuff boy who had been hurt by the explosion but her had refused to be helped. Before she knew it, the bloody Kaegen Deathmoron has struck her with a spell.
Now here she was, her robes covered in blood, unconscious but still breathing and most of all, living. 2 - 3 Nurses tending to her very badly injured arm, muttering exasperated sighs of disappointment under their breaths as they worked their magic. “Blimey, this is diffindo we are taking about. She could have had her arm cut off.” one of them commented, shaking her head. “She lost a lot of blood,” the other added.
After about a good ten minutes, the nurses left to attend to the other injured children. Two hufflepuffs stabbed by a crazy maniac now possibly running around the halls of Hogwarts plotting which students to kill next. Of course, Aurelia was oblivious to all that was happening around her. All she did was move a bit on her cot, and had muttered some incomprehensible and almost inaudible words that were most likely in another language, Dutch. She groans here and there. Who knew what the Gryffindor might have been dreaming. Perhaps she was deep in a nightmare, dreaming about another stabbing rampage.

Aurelia is unconscious. In a few of my threads, I had stated that she had been unconscious for 3-4 Days after that incident. But feel free to interact with her. She would not respond much though. And writing 200 words on an unconscious character is not very easy for me.

"I hope this doesn't rub off on our house points"
Ruby stared at Donny. She could tell exactly how he had received her words. Ruby bit her lip and muttered an apology. She sounded very selfish. She swallowed and looked at Donny. "S-sorry.. I've never been in a situation like this" In truth, she had never been so frightened in her life. Koko had nearly been killed, along with several other students, and she was thinking of house points! Ruby gazed at the floor with horror. She stared at a speckle of dust like it was the most interesting thing in the world.
The nurse hurried up to her, but Ruby shrugged her away. She looked at her skin. It wasn't that bad. No fleck of skin on her was harmed except for her hands. They were cut and bruised from gripping the glass shards. She still saw several spikes of the clear plates wedged in her skin. She grunted at the thought of pulling them out. She ushered the nurse back over and, with a shriek of pain, got them quickly pulled out.
All Ruby could think about now was how awful timing she came in. She felt instantly sorry for doing nothing but throwing glass like a small child. She shook her head; she didn't have time to think about the past.
Ruby still couldn't move on.
"I-i just wish I could have been there on time to help you!" She blurted. She wasn't sure who she was speaking to, but she felt it was directed towards Donny and Koko. She knew Koko would probably forgive her, but Donny may not. She wasn't going to judge him for being angry at Ruby, but she definitely didn't expect him to suddenly be her best friend. Ruby didn't really want any friends, but don't tell Koko that...
Ruby felt her insides grumble with sorrow. She felt like she was sick. Literally. It was partly because she had seen the bloody mess, but it was mostly because of natural feelings. She really felt like she was going to puke. She moaned and toppled over. She retched a nasty colour; she probably should have gone to Archery camp with that aim she just made.

Old war flashbacks Memories of his tenure has Headmaster flashed through his mind as he anxiously performed his bedside vigil. The conscious kids were not particularly useful in explaining the circumstances that brought them to this point. It was not as if the Headmaster was controlled by an all-knowing and all-seeing puppetmaster that could tell him the details of the incident, no the universe did not work like that. That would break some grand universal law, knowing things that one had no right to know.Sorry for my exceedingly slow reply. Some staff-related matters have consumed my personal free time.
-- Solomon
One of the students was stirring. Another had started puking. The boy, he was likely there doing something or perhaps he was standing there with his jaw agape. Solomon let out a sigh. "Hufflepuff," Solomon used the closest thing he had to a name to refer to Donnovan. "Slytherin," and Koko. "I need to know what happened here so I can do something about it," Solomon's voice was firmer this time than it was last time. The injured students were stabilizing, injuries had nothing on magical healing. The poultices and spells, phials of potions and the sweet yet slightly sulfuric scent of something brought out in a little white porcelain bowl filled the air.
Solomon would slump down on the foot of an empty bed, there were not many of those as of late. Some of the kids had injured themselves due to foolishness, magical mishaps, scuffles and routine illness. Kaegen, much like Erin and a few other students likely failed to realize that eventually their dangerous behaviors would catch up to them. Either they themselves would be injured or they would be exiled from the school for being a risk to their fellow students. He could not wait until someone got killed and very soon he would have to carefully weigh the benefit of teaching a sociopath magic versus denying them their full potential to reduce the risk they posed to their peers and the public.

Hi guys! Thought I'd give time for Elena to get back from the Owlery, the DADA classroom, and the bathrooms. So hi.
After a minor panic attack in the Owlery, a letter sent to Griffith, and a much needed costume change. Elena thought she'd do the good and decent thing. Which is to go to the hospital wing and check up on everyone, not to hunt down Kaegen, what kind of person would want to do that?
Elena stepped into the room and made a beeline for the somehow awake injured students, "Sorry for taking so long, I was finishing up with Professor Pendrast. Went to go get her but it appears someone beat me to catching authority."
"But, I do have..." Elena held up the bag she'd brought with her, "Commiseration chocolate frogs for everyone! I don't think hallmark made a card for this situation so all I have is food. Sorry folks."
Elena put a chocolate frog on everyone's bedside tables, "I'm glad I oversupplied, do you want one too Headmaster Lear? I was also the first one to arrive after the explosion if you need me to tell you anything."
"Basically crazy kid thinks that there're monsters in the school and that he's going to kill them. His name is Kaegen Deathmote fens-born something rather, last time I met him he looked like he was going to stab someone. I'm unhappy to say I wasn't wrong." Elena frowned at Donnovan and held out an extra one for him, since he was looking terrible.
I'm weak my love.
