Mistakes Were Made
Reid sometimes had trouble keeping up with Felicity, mostly because he would sometimes slow down out of being distracted. That and he was often trying to get out of the way of other students, he wasn't a push and shove type of kid. He was heading out of the same class she happened to be in, he was just a bodyguard of sort. Possibly a bodyguard to make sure she didn't pass out and fall again.
He had to look out for his friends anyway, it was better than him blowing up the Hufflepuff Common Room. His books were under his arms, a cheap muggle pen tucked behind his ears.
It was hard to write with the quill and he often opted out to do some of his work with what he was comfortable with. The Grand Staircases were probably ahead and he wasn't exactly enthusiastic about the idea, he was still getting used to it. There were a few times where he was about to get vertigo just from looking downwards.
But still, he didn't want to chicken out in front of Felicity - in front of a girl. "What floor are we even heading to? Er - you really." he asked, fixing the glasses on his face. Reid hadn't told his friends he was Head Boy yet, in fact, he hasn't told anyone in the school. He was humbled by the candidacy and felt a little worried with taking on the role. But after mulling it over for quite some time, he accepted it and has been going over his duties thus far.
He had a night patrol for soon too and he wanted to make sure he wasn't just going to be a lost fool walking through the corridors. The shiny badge was hidden from plain sight, it wasn't that he was ashamed of it - but shy to show his authority. It came with authority and he was still building the courage to step up to the plate.
"Trouble usually finds me."

Mistakes Were Made
Felicity was feeling awful. She was still not doing too well with the whole Transfiguration thing - she was so bad at it. Even Professor Crispe couldn't make her understand the concept. She was also stressed over the whole thing with seeing things when she closes her eyes, and then there was so much more. Her family still hadn't written her back! Perhaps she should write them again, and ask if they're okay. Or, maybe, she should just be patient and wait for a reply. The latter of the options was the most reasonable, but she doubted she could be patient for long. Patience wasn't her thing.
Currently, the petite blonde Ravenclaw was twisting through the corridors with her friend, Reid. She had met him on odd circumstances, but she felt as though she could trust him as she did Bloom. Could be why she often chose to spend time with him. She simply felt comfortable. This was only the third time they had sincerely hung out, though, so it wasn't as though it happened often. Perhaps it would if he were a Ravenclaw like her and Bloom, but Reid was a Hufflepuff. It didn't matter in the long run, though. He was a friend, regardless.
As to where the pair were going, Felicity had decided on trying something new. She wasn't particularly fond of moving staircases, which she was heading towards now. Heights weren't her favourite, and even climbing the bloody steps caused her to become incredibly anxious. She had been teased by one of her acquaintances, Ben, about it previously, and she promised herself that she'd get over that fear since, to the point where she can at least climb them with ease. Hopefully, she would be able to do so in front of a boy. Then again, when she was around Ryan, even, she seemed to stumble over her words alone. Reid was just a friend, though, so this should be easy!
"Uhh, the Divination tower." She decided, glancing at Reid from the corner of her eye. Honestly, she had just made up where she intended to go, wanting to just conquer her fear. The Divination tower was up the stairs, and then a little bit of a walk across the sixth floor to the tower, which held the Divination classroom - Professor Barrows's room. She grinned uneasily as the staircase came into view, and she looked up at all the different levels, each moving from time to time. Oh, Merlin, Felicity thought to herself as she started up the first staircase, This is awful.
She was successful with the first staircase, as well as the second. She was getting more confident on her third, and she looked back at Reid, just as they were switching to the fourth floor staircase. "You know, this isn't too ba- Whoa!" She cut herself off, just as her foot slipped on the transition of the staircases, causing her ankle to twist at an odd angle, and her body fell. She had thankfully scrambled up a few steps so that she was on the fourth staircase, though, just so she didn't end up dangling off an edge. Oh, that would be majorly unpleasant. A cry escaped her as she fell, and she sat up as she drew her leg in, hissing at the pain she could feel in her ankle. She wouldn't be surprised if she had broken something - it was super painful.
"Reid, I think I hurt myself," She told him, trying to keep her leg as still as possible. She wasn't sure where he was, exactly, she was kind of just focusing on herself right now - and how badly her ankle was hurting. She tried to stop thinking about it, but the hurt was so stubborn that she was never going to succeed with doing so. She should probably head to the Hospital Wing.

Divination tower? He hadn't been there before, so he changed his plans of splitting with the Ravenclaw after it was mentioned. Reid was going to actually head to the Owlery to send a letter to his family and meet up with the other Head Girl. But he actually had to write his letter first, surely they've gotten curious of what he was up to this whole time. He hadn't gotten a letter from them in a while, it didn't strike him odd though.
He wondered how often his friends wrote to their family, did he write too often? Maybe he wrote too little. Reid would ask them later, he was feeling a lot better after what happened in the Library. He had a different air about him, one that he had when he first came to Hogwarts. He was also more willing to hang out with the other two now that the awkwardness was largely gone.
It didn't linger when he was around people like Felicity though. Reid was silently thankful for Felicity pulling the two of them together, whether it was with intention or not. He would have never been able to reconcile his differences with Bloom if the two of them weren't forced together. "Just be careful." he said with a light chuckle.
He was nervous with where he stepped on the staircase, yet he was able to closely follow after Felicity until she got to the next part. There was really never a time in his life that he saw someone almost die or at least something close to seeing that.
If he didn't lose his voice after seeing her slip, a very loud and profane pair of words would have echoed through the hall. The Hufflepuff boy had pretty much lost grip of his things in the small chaos of seeing Felicity lose her balance. The sound of a book slipping and hitting the staircase below echoed with a THUD, a few gasps from below too.
His pen was nowhere to be found to say the least and the boy was frozen in what looked like someone who was trying to grab something. His chest had stung from the small heart attack he received after this, yet he relaxed and heavily exhaled. "I think so too." he breathed a sigh of relief and carefully made his way over to his friend.
The stairs were still moving and he found a little more courage to reach Felicity. "Is it your leg? Ankle maybe." Reid questioned, crouching beside the girl. He didn't hesitate to help, it wasn't a question in his mind. He could get his textbook back later. They probably needed to go to the Medical Wing, which was on the third floor. It wasn't too far then. "Here, did you want to use me for support? Just keep that leg up and you can probably hobble there." he suggested.

Mistakes Were Made
It was sincerely ironic, the fact that the Hufflepuff boy with her had even warned her to be careful, and she still hadn't been. She just had the worst of luck, didn't she? Just another thing she'd have to add to her list of stresses - an injury. She whimpered slightly as she shifted her ankle slightly, clearly not used to the injury whatsoever. Hopefully, her recovery would be smoother than one predicted. She hoped she wouldn't have to suffer by drinking something unnerving. That wouldn't be her preference, whatsoever. She would much rather take the longer time healing than speeding it up with questionable liquids. Now she was stressing over even the smallest bits! This was all a little bit too much for an eleven year old.
The blonde girl nodded her head as Reid suggested that it were her ankle, agreeing, "It is, and Oh, Merlin, it hurts." She complained, feeling as though she had the complete right to. She did hurt herself, after all. She sighed as she brought herself to a sitting position, trying her best to move her ankle as little as possible. The staircase was still moving beneath her, regardless of her fall, and her stomach became queasy at the sight of her surroundings spinning around her as the staircase moved. Instead, she focused her gaze onto the stair that she was sat on.
"Erm, please," She accepted his offer of support to lean on, and she grabbed on to the railing once she felt the staircase somewhat stabilize, slowly pulling herself into a standing position. It took effort, and a few moments of time, but she did end up getting up on to her one foot, keeping her other poised just slightly above the ground. Any pressure against it caused a sharp pain to shoot into her ankle, and that was highly unwelcome. "Sorry to cause this err.. Kerbuffle." She apologized, making up some random word to try and explain her mishap.
She would have to wait for the staircase to reconnect with the one the lead to the third floor once again, and until then, she was stuck standing on the stairs. Another wave of nausea hit her as the staircase began moving, and she stared up at the ceiling, mumbling another 'Oh, Merlin,' under her breath as she watched even the ceiling move while the staircase did so. She quickly closed her eyes as a whole, a small frown coming upon her lips.
"I hate heights." She muttered, only opening her eyes once she felt the staircase stop moving again. Thank Merlin for that, too, because any longer, and she probably would have thrown up whatever she had for lunch over the railing, and onto whatever - or whomever - was below the staircases. "Let's get off of these stairs, hey?" She offered, a nervous grin lifting up her previous frown.

Reid did the best he could to stay calm, she wasn't dead but she did get hurt pretty bad. His heart had been hammering against his chest until he finally told himself that it was a sprained ankle. If she had fallen and started bleeding, he'd surely be more frantic. In fact, he would have been probably crying at that exact moment in time, especially with his overreactive imagination.
Reid didn't even know what was going through his mind at the time, he just had a fear response to seeing his friend slip. For the longest time, his jaw was clenched and his posture was incredibly rigid. "I think that's a good idea." he shakily laughed. A ring of sweat had formed on his forehead that caused his hair to press against his skin.
Reid let out a soft sigh, fixing his glasses with his free hand. "You scared the daylights out of me." he snickered. "Did you lose anything? I can grab it on my way back." Reid was patient with Felicity as he helped support her, he didn't rush. It would be stupid to rush anyway, he wished he could have just hauled her like a sack of potatoes down to the ward.
He was unsure if the prolonged movement would have ended up hurting her bad ankle. When he got over to the wing, he let the nurses take over since he had nothing else to do. Yet he stayed just in case she needed him to do something, his study materials were no longer in his possession after all.
He'd have to go back and retrieve it, hopefully it wasn't lost or no one took it. The boy had his arms crossed as he stood near Felicity, wherever she was placed. "Your ankle ... looks bloody terrible." he obviously stated with a grin.

Thankfully, the pair made it off the staircases quicker than they had trekked up - considering it was only a floor in difference rather than six this time - and Felicity was spared from losing her lunch. She hated those bloody stairs, but it was better than taking a broom up, she supposed. She was quick to put most of her weight on the boy next to her as they shuffled off of the steps, finally. She looked over at him as he told her she scared him, and a small grin picked away at her lips. She had scared him? He was funny, she would be just fine in no time, she was sure of it.
"I didn't bring anything with me, actually," She admitted, looking over at Reid. She'd might as well be honest with him about her true intentions with the staircases, now that she'd gone ahead and messed up once more. "If I lost anything, it would be my wand.." And with that she stopped in her tracks, hissing a little bit when she accidentally put extra weight on her ankle. She patted her robes to make sure that her wand was still there - which it was - then reached into her pocket to make sure it was in tact. Which it was. A sigh of relief passed through her lips - Thank Merlin.
"Sorry," She mentioned, noticing that she had stopped them on their journey to the hospital ward. Slowly, she began to move again, trying her best not to make her ankle any worse than it already was. "I would have died if my wand broke, and I had to tape it, or something.." She trailed off, falling silent for the rest of the walk through the corridors to the hospital wing. Once they arrived, she left Reid for a bed in the room. It wasn't the most comfortable, but in the bleak, stone-walled white room, it was somewhat of a comfort. She grimaced slightly when she was forced to move her legs up on the bed, but kept on her bravest face possible. She wouldn't be a complete wimp in front of Reid - that only happened when she was with her mother.
The process of wrapping her ankle in a tensor bandage wasn't too long, nor painful, and Felicity had insisted on not taking any odd fluids. She didn't want to end up getting even worse while in the hospital wing. She didn't want to live in the place. She grinned widely when Reid came over, considering by that time the pain had mostly subsided from her ankle, due to the elevation she had for it while sitting upright in the bed. There was a curtain drawn between her bed and the one next to her's, a series of coughs coming from the other side. Perhaps they had a cold? Must have been an awful one to have landed them in the Hospital Wing. She sure hoped that whoever it was felt better soon.
"You think?" She asked in response to Reid's quite obvious remark about her ankle. The body part was heavily swollen, and the tensor bandage had added to it. "I didn't want to take any weird liquids for it. I don't trust them." She admitted, then looked up at the brown-haired boy again, a look of gratitude would be able to be found in her blue-green eyes, as she said the next few words that she felt were more than needed. "Thank you so much for helping me along, Reid. Sorry if I made your day a little more difficult than you intended." She sighed, her shoulders slumping. She felt bad for occupying majority of her friend's time, regardless if he wanted to spend his time with her or not.
She couldn't help but be overly-thankful for the Hufflepuff for helping her. Something about it made her chest puff out happily, but at the same time, it made her feel completely guilty, because what if he had better things to do than stick around and be her crutch? She would most likely always be grateful for the fact that he was helpful enough to help her in particular - but then again, if he didn't, who would have? No one else had really been around them. Well, at least it was the way it did pan out in the end. Though, she would have preferred to not get hurt in the midst of it all. Well, at least her first year would be memorable.

Mistakes Were Made
The smell of the Hospital Wing was nothing he's smelled before, even after being to a clinic a few times. There was a smell in the air that he couldn't really identify, bit it wasn't unpleasant. His dress shoes sounded against the hard floor as he followed after Felicity and the nurses. His fingers brushed against his knuckles, watching them work from where he was forced to stay.
How did healing work in the magical world? Was it much easier than the muggle world? People seemed to die easier in the muggle world, it didn't make him miss it anymore though. His eyes wandered the wing, hands behind his back as he grew curious of the people behind the curtains. Reid hoped he wouldn't be in any of this situations anytime soon.
If he had been in Felicity's situation, he surely would have teared up a bit out of embarrassment and pain. He strode up to his friend with an apologetic look on his features, he felt sorry for her despite it. The Hufflepuff's shoulders slightly shrugged with a slight smile, "No, it's fine. I didn't plan for anything else anyway." He would have insisted regardless of what was on his plate, this was already a nasty ordeal itself.
The boy was grossly interested in her ankle however, inspecting it from where he stood as if it was some animal. "Bloody hell though ..." He glanced back at her with a slightly worried look. "Are you going to be able to make it around your classes?" Maybe he should offer to ask for her homework? He's done it before, it wouldn't be the first. Yet he didn't want to haggle her about anyway, so he didn't push the idea.
Surely Bloom would want to know where Felicity had been off to, he'd have to catch her in the Corridors when he could. Yet even after his two weeks of being at Hogwarts, he had trouble discerning each Corridor from another. But now what was he going to do? He had spent most of his time researching what happened to Felicity. That was usually an evening of going back to pester the librarian about more forgotten texts.
But surely after finishing his visit with her, he'd come visit her with Bloom or just himself if she was staying longer. He could bring her comic books, but she was a Ravenclaw and he didn't exactly know how much she'd even liken the idea. He had many habits of the heart, most of them particularly interested in how his friends were doing. Reid felt naive in nature, whether for better or for worse.
