Oopies!
James, Marissa and Ava finally made it to the Hospital Wing. The place was already busy with other students who wete injured from other events. The three looked a bit ruffled up, James was carrying an unconscious Marissa whilst limping on a bad foot, and Ava had clearly been crying whilst she was carrying all of their bags and items.
Marissa was already slipping in and out of consciousness as James carried her. Wow, she must of hit her head in the wrong way. Her hands were already covered in the blood from the cuts on her hands as well. Bruises were already forming along her elbows, arms, knees, lower back amd her left shoulder. She was frowning slightly, trying to stay awake.
As she was conscious for a moment, Mari looked up to James weakly. “J-Ja-James.” She managed to croak. She looked up to him worryingly, obviously worried about his foot that he hurt. She probably blamed herself for it. She tried to hop down from him carrying her but she winced instantly, this made her head spin again. She sniffled and wiped away a couple of tears away. Grow up, you are acting like a baby. He probably doesn’t like girls who act like this. She stopped crying and tried to put on a brave face.

James couldn't believe he had carried Marissa all the way up to the Hospital Wing. In fact, he couldn't believe he had the consciousness and mental capacity to think about not believing anything! He was exhausted and his bad leg felt like it had a red hot knife going all the way through it. Of course, James hadn't the faintest idea of what that felt like, but he could guess.
He didn't have the strength to turn his head around and look back, but he knew that Ava was still with them, carrying their stuff, he hoped. Even though it was really Ava that had made Marissa fall out of the tree (but even then, James couldn't know for sure because he hadn't looked until the last second), James made a mental note to thank her for her help afterwards.
"J-Ja-James." Marissa whispered.
James gritted his teeth and forced himself not to look down at her, because he was sure that would off-set his already fragile balance. Marissa made a sudden movement as if she was trying to get off, and James stopped moving forward entirely to get a better hold on her to prevent her from falling.
As they staggered towards an empty hospital bed, James half lied, half dropped Marissa onto the bed, his own strength failing him. The blood from her hands had stained James' shirt and cloak, and also gotten a little bit on his own hands. Marissa must have been extremely unlucky to have gotten such cuts like the ones she currently had. Unconscious of the others around him, James only saw and looked at Marissa, before stepping back and collapsing on the bed next to Marissa's.

Marissa winced as James half placed, half dropped her onto the hospital bed. He did not look the best at the moment, which made Marissa feel even more worse. She saw how she had stained his clothes with her blood, looking horrified how she could be so clumsy.
Marissa was going to pass out unconscious until James decided to collapse on the bed next to hers. She instantly sat up, wincing but she ignored the pain. She stumbled over to his bed and sat beside him. Mari messed up his hair, smiling sadly. “S-sorry Ja-” She paused for a moment, finding it hard to speak. “Ja-James.” She looked saddened as she felt like it was her fault he was in this mess. Mari looked over to his injured leg. She reached over to touch it before thinking it was best not. She placed her hands on her lap, looking at the cuts that were now bleeding. She sniffled slightly as she looked away from James, she did not want him to see her cry.
Put on a brave face for him. It may make him feel much more better. She sighed and looked back to where James was laying. She gave him a half smile, hopefully bringing his spirits up a bit.

Ava walked in after the two. She walked with her head down, trying to bring herself together. As the boy laid the girl (Ava believed her name was Marisa) down on one of the bed in the caretaker's office she sat down on some chair next to it, also putting the boy's and girl's bags, books and everything else next to the bed. She was still shivering, however, tears were not flooding her face anymore so she could speak, which still did not mean she wanted to. The girl tried to say something and Ava was feeling so guilty about making her fall off. She should just sit down on the same branch as her and not the one below her. A tear rolled down her face again, but she wiped it off again. She did not want to start crying again. It would feel like she is the one crying, but she is not the one that should be.
"I am so sorry..." she whispered to James with a worried face. "Is she going to be okay?" the girl looked at the boy again, despite the fact that he was not the caretaker. And he was unconscious. She just wanted to trust someone... She needed to know. SHe wanted to not feel the overwhelming guilt anymore. Ava looked at Marisa. "I'm so sorry..." she said with tears starting to form in her eyes.

Can't really post, because James is now unconscious... just thought I'd clear that up...

Marissa avoided eye contact with Ava, she did not want to deal with her at the moment. Realising James was unconscious, Mari sighed. She instantly began to cry, feeling that it was her fault that they got into this situation. How could you be so stupid? You should not have fallen out of the tree like that. Especially on your own friend. He probably hates you now. Even though her hands were bloody, Marissa covered her face with them. She did not want anyone to see her cry. They probably thought she was weak.
She glanced to James and nudged him, wondering if he would wake up. I hope he won’t have any lasting injuries. I can not risk losing a friend so quickly. He was so nice. She sniffled, wiping away a mixture of tears and blood from her face. She probably looked like a demond from a horror movie right now. Mari got some wipes from a nearby table before sitting down again. Even getting up slightly made her feel dizzy and nauseous. She wiped away the blood from her hands and face before trying to clean James’. The least she could do was try to clean him up, even if she did not feel the best either. Marissa paused at times, closing her eyes and swaying as a feeling of dizziness took over.

James wasn't in a very deep sleep, but it was enough to make him dream.
James opened his eyes, sitting up in the Hospital Wing bed he had just laid down in. He looked for any blood or bruises on him, but found none. James looked around, expecting to see others. Maybe Marissa or Ava, or at least the nurse would be around, he thought. But nobody was there. James seemed to be all alone.
There was this quiet that hung about the air. James wasn't entirely sure if it was a kind of peaceful quiet, or more of an ominous quiet that surrounded him.
James got up from his bed, not limping, surprisingly, and made his way out of the Hospital Wing. He slowly opened the doors, and stepped out into the corridors. It was light all around, barely any shadows could be seen.
James made his way down the moving staircases, which were... not moving.
James opened the doors to the Great Hall, and still saw nothing.
Hufflepuff Common Room? Nothing.
Outside Grounds? Nothing. No animals or wind was anywhere. Everything and anything was completely still, except for James of course. Besides all the trees and grass, James could find no animate life anywhere!
James decided to look in the other common rooms. He only knew where the Gryffindor one was, so he made his way there. The portrait of the Fat Lady, however, was empty! There was no Fat Lady! In fact, James finally began to notice that all of the paintings had no movement, and nobody in them! Just plain backgrounds, devoid of life. James sat down and started to get scared. What was this place? What should he do?
Suddenly, a voice echoed through the corridors.
"He probably hates you now."
James couldn't recognize the voice. It sounded as if it was just a random sentence that had popped into James' head.
Suddenly, James looked up to see a girl in front of him. She looked very familiar, like someone James might have seen in a dream...
"Eve?" James asked.
She nodded. She didn't say anything else. She did, however, step forward and start wiping the spots where James had been hurt. James wasn't hurt right now, which was odd, because he knew he had gone through that whole thing at the tree, and had carried Marissa up to the Hospital Wing, but couldn't remember much else.
As James noticed that he could not feel Eve's hands on his skin, he realized that he was in a dream. But it didn't feel like a dream. It felt so real!
Then, James' vision blurred, and he fell asleep... only to wake up again, this time in sweat and pain. But, there was something wet against his skin. James opened his eyes to see Marissa standing over him, cleaning his wounds with a wipe. She seemed to be tearing up, and James instantly wanted to speak to her.
"Marissa..." he managed to mumble out.

All Marissa wanted to do now was run to her mother and cry on how unfair this was. She wanted to curl up into a ball as her mother hugged her, saying that everything was going to be fine. But obviously it was not. James was still unconscious as Marissa’s worry and guilt continued to grow. Tears continued to well up into her eyes, she could not control it no matter how hard she tried.
Marissa took a break from cleaning James’ hands, her head was spinning again. Maybe you should rest for a bit. You’ll pass out on him. She shook the thought out of her head but swayed slightly. Is the world meant to be spinning like this? I don’t think so... She sniffled slightly wiping away tears that threatened to fall down her face.
As soon as James mumbled her name, Mari’s eyes shot open. She looked towards him, her tears instantly falling down her cheeks. She started to cry again, but this time in relief. He was ok, and thats all Marissa cared about. She thought about how weird she cared for someone like this, she rarely did for someone else.
She sniffled and wiped away the tears. She sighed and tried to say something, at this emotional state, it was extremely hard for her. “I-I’m s-s-sor-ry.” She went back to silently crying, wiping away the tears with a new tissue.

James could now see that Marissa was crying. He could see now, because he was slowly waking back up, his eyes adjusting to the light and gathering more of their surroundings, including Marissa who was standing over James.
“I-I’m s- s- sor-ry.” Marissa choked out between her tears.
Seeing Marissa sad and crying made James sad as well. He instantly wanted to sit up and give her a big hug.
James lifted his arm, which was a lot harder than he had expected. It felt heavy with sleep, considering that James was still in the process of waking up. James managed to slowly move his hand over to Marissa’s. Once he found her’s, he placed his hand on top of her hand.
“It’s okay, Marissa. I was the one who went to catch you.” he said, letting himself let out a small laugh or chuckle.
James pulled himself up slowly into a sitting position, blinking and stretching his arms downwards.
James realized he had really just passed out from exhaustion, and his real injury was in his leg, which, thankfully, he didn't need to use to just sit up.
James put his hand on Marissa’s shoulder and pulled her into a warm hug.

As soon as James took Marissa’s hand, she blushed instantly. She shook the thought away as she needed to worry about if he was ok. She kept looking at him, analysing if he needed any help. She sniffled sligtly, wiping away the last of tears from her eyes and cheeks.
When James pulled her into a hug, she looked shocked at first. Her first reaction would be to push him away and run. But she leaned in and smiled slightly, leaning her head on his shoulder. Instantly a sharp pain made Marissa dizzy. She lifted her head back up snd touched the back of her head. She flinched instantly, her head spinning from the pain. That was where she must of hit her head.
Looking back to James, she smiled shyly snd tried to act as if everything was fine. “F-Friends?” She was not sure if James wanted to continue to be friends after what happened earlier. She looked where his leg was hurt, grimacing slightly. Mari still felt guulty so she pulled James into a proper high, rubbing his back slightly.
He probably found that weird, so she stopped rubbing his back but continued to hug him. Hopefully this would be a start to a close friendship.
