Who knew Scotland was actually able to be hot?
Certainly not Elena Jones, who was currently hoping that she had enough clothes meant for warm weather to keep herself happy. Otherwise it'd be a... fun time.
"You run for cover but you can’t escape the second attack! His soul was innocent she kissed and she painted it black, you should’ve seen your little face. And miss atomic bomb!" Elena was having a one woman show in the cabin, aptly named for a winged snake. Since the Slytherin was proudly displaying her brand new Occamy plushie on the bed she chose. Brilliance.
Elena was either going home on the July fourteenth train or a later one, but it'd be fun to stick around for however long she was going to be there. Her cabinmates might go back later, but who knew, Elena was going whenever Talia Piper was going. Kindness had lead the other girl to invite Elena back with her.
The bed bounced happily as Elena sat on it, it was nicer here than in the Slytherin dorms, the sun shone through the glass windows at the front and the skylight above them. The ends have bunk beds, and someone had kitted it out with luxurious white linen sheets, one in each corner. Fairy lights crisscrossed the ceiling above her, and, Elena realised as she rested back and watched her surroundings, the wood pannelling was beautiful. Elena was actually, in a way, thankful she'd accidentally set the last lot of cabins on fire.

Occamy Cabin
Talia Piper liked to think she looked graceful as she made the long trip from her old dormitory to the cabins where she'd be staying for the next month. But in reality, it was quite on the contrary.
The girl barely passed 30 kilograms, and it was quite the struggle for her to even lift her trunk smoothly. The problems just tripled when it turned into making the way through the castle with it. But Tal found a way to make it work, even if barely. Tal was very good at finding ways.
She opened the door to the place she would be sharing with Landon, Puck, and Frost, and smiled as she saw both a lovely cabin and her lovely friend. Plopping her trunk down cheerfully and looking around the cabin, she noticed the bed across from the one that Puck was sitting on, and ran over to hop onto it, smiling brightly at her blue haired friend.
"Hiya, Puck! Happy summer!" she laughed, so incredibly delighted she was pretty much bouncing up and down. This summer would be great, she just absolutely knew it. One month at camp, and the other back in Brighton with Elena! How much better could it get, really?
Calming down a little bit, Tal climbed off the bed and opened her trunk. Really just undoing the latches so that the top sprung open from all the stuff crammed inside it. Grabbing out the colourfully knitted quilt that her mum made for her, she placed it down overtop of the sheets of the bed she'd claimed, and put her slightly worn pink dinosaur plushie down next to her pillow. Adding some more of her decorations wherever she could, she finished and slid on her fuzzy sock clad feet over to Elena's corner.

Summer.
Sweltering heat, crowded streets, skateboarding, and jumping into freezing cold water desperately to cool down.
Of course the opportunity to stay at the castle for the summer was one that Lan took immediately. Not having to go home for summer? Pranks? Hell yeah. It was the sort of thing that Landon had always wanted to do, summer camp. Of course, he'd gone to many camps over the years. But one at Hogwarts? That was new, and Lan definitely wanted in on it.
So as soon as he could, the boy had packed up all the stuff in his dorm, and taken it all down to the cabin that he was in. It wasn't too hard to get the stuff to the campgrounds for the boy, and soon enough, he was at the Occamy Cabin, which he was sharing with Tal, Puck, and Frost. He hadn't met Frost, but he figured if Tal and Elena knew her, she couldn't be all that bad.
Opening the door, he grinned as he saw two familiar girls. He set his trunk down by one of the unoccupied beds and looked at them.
"Hey, Puck!" Landon high fived her smoothly, before looking to Tal and ruffling her hair playfully. "And we can't forget, Princess Talia! What's up guys?"
Occamy Cabin
It had taken Frost a few attempts to convince her parents to let her attend the Hogwarts summer camp for her second time. Little hints placed strategically by the girl herself, honestly the best strategy work she had ever done in her life, as well as a few gentle nudges, all of this going on for days. But eventually they let her go just as long as she was home at the end of July or so.
Frost, despite her name, really enjoyed the summer time. Especially when it included doing fun activities with potential friends. A series of dainty footsteps hung in the air as the redhead walked up the bridge and into the ‘cabins’ right into where hers would be.
Now her cabin mates she had absolutely never met, with the exception of Elena from the newspaper- who still didn’t have much of a place in Frost’s mind yet. But they had nice sounding names, so there was no way they could be that bad, right? Yeah. Totally. Opening the door to where she would be staying for quite a bit, Frost smiled a warm smile at the three soon-to-be second year students.
The boy, who she could only assume was Landon, had called someone by the name of ‘puck’, which was completely fine except for the part where Frost has no idea who this ‘puck’ person was. “Puck? Who’s Puck? Are they joining the cabin too?”
Her eyes explored the room, which was very pretty and well decorated, all while she stood in the doorframe for a moment or two until Frost had seen the bunk beds and had an explosion of happy. It was freaking bunk beds, summer literally could not get any better than it already was.
A big ol grin that just radiated positivity grew on her face. “Oh I’m sorry, I completely forgot.” Laughing softly she waved at the younger bunch as a greeting. “I’m frost! But you can call me Frosty or anything else you want. It’s nice to meet you guys!”

Cabin
The Occamy Cabin is situated on the lakeshore, inside it has two bunk beds with small daybeds on front end of the cabin. Glass panelled doors are at the front of the cabin, and a skylight is between the two bunkbeds, the bunkbeds also have a window on the top and bottom levels, so they have the same amount of light. The beds themselves, as usual, have a top and bottom level. They both have a small platform that works as a storage area.
The other bed is near the front windows, and is slightly larger than the others, with a nightlight and nightstand next to it.
There's a small bathroom and a place to get changed, no windows of course, but plenty of lights.
The patio has more nice furniture, and the sound of the lake can be heard through the doors, although it's always warm on the inside. No fireplaces of course, because the students aren't trusted with fire. Instead, small fairy lights crisscross the ceiling, lighting the room no matter how dark it is outside.
Elena's Corner
Elena's set herself up on the top bunk across from the bunk bed, currently under the ownership of Tal. By way of decoration there's a small plush occamy and a some small items, a letter and two photos, one photo of herself and Bella, one photo of herself and Alan, and finally a letter from someone she trusts.
Elena had taken a small amount of fairy lights she found leftover and curled them into the shape of a flower, making her bunk lighter.
Tal's Corner!
Tal had taken the top bunk across from Puck's. It had a brightly knitted blanket lying overtop messily, as well as a pink stuffed dinosaur plopped on the pillow. Some of her favourite photos and other possessions were hung up on the wall, as she had strung a small line of colourful yarn along her wall and attached the items with laundry clips. She had a small little rainbow disco ball temporarily stuck onto the ceiling above her, too!
Landon's Corner
Landon's bunk was a bit more plain. He had a mustard yellow blanket thrown sloppily over the bed, a baseball cap and simple photograph of him and his siblings resting at the head of it. Other than that, Landon didn't have too many sentimental objects, unless you counted the random objects that often came in useful for a trick or two, which were still sitting in his trunk where he had thrown them when he was packing up his dorm.

Elena hopped up from her bed and hugged Talia, "Tally, happy summer to you too my sweet."
Something about the calm and quiet of the lake tides outside the cabin made her mind calm and her smile fill with careless wonder, such a place in the world could hold no fear. Not for someone not so used to this world yet.
"Landon!" Elena high fived him back and gave him a small lopsided smile, "I'm so glad you came, it's great to see you again. Not got much going on right now, but I'm sure there'll be something we can do soon, there's a lake right outside and all."
Her eyes sparkled, fun was just an eventuality with this gang about. For one who held grudges and did not forgive often, Landon was an interesting choice for a friend, but out of all the people Elena knew, he was one who she oddly enough felt she could count on.
Elena's instincts haven't been wrong, and they won't be still.
"Frost! I'm glad you could make it, it'll be awesome to talk to you more." Elena smiled brightly, "I'm Puck, it's an old nickname, used to make me sad to think of but now it just reminds me that friends aren't a fairytale."

"This summer is gonna be great!" Tal grinned giddily, her smile only widening when Landon ruffled her hair. "Hi, Lan!" she squealed. Tal loved these two with all her heart, and her eyes just shined with joy as she sat there with them.
When Frost, the final member of the cabin, came in, Tal was absolutely beaming at the new friend. At the moment, it seemed to her that things couldn't get any better in that moment. And it really couldn't!
She bounced off of Puck's bed and walked over to Frost. "I'm Tal!" she said, smiling the girl. It was an especially bright and happy smile. Then she hopped up a couple rungs of the ladder to her bunk on the other side of the room, flopping down on top of it, relaxing completely. "You guys are so cool, I love you all and you should know that," she declared confidently, leaning on an elbow to look down at her friends on the ground.

"I'm excited to be here," Landon laughed at how cheesy his response sounded, and sat down on the bottom bunk under Puck's claimed bed, a small smirk falling on his lips when he remembered a certain element of the camp. "It really is gonna be great, Tal! One month of awesomeness. There's gonna be pranks, and everything!"
Landon was very excited for the pranks. But he was also just happy to be spending time away from his home, with people he could really be himself around. It was nice to have those sorts of people in his life, especially when he was always held to such high and strict standards at home. He felt truly happy and relaxed when he was with his close friends. They could be in a desert in the middle of nowhere, for all he cared. This summer would be great, just like Tal said. And he was infinitely happy that she loved the group as much as he did.
The boy turned to Frost, and the smirk stayed on his face. "I'm Landon. Welcome to the cool cabin," he joked, although it was no joke at all that the occamy cabin was the coolest. Just plain fact. He quickly and rather sloppily threw up the decorations on his bunk and then sat down again, triumphant of his accomplishment.
