You are teleported to the heart of a maze. It is obvious that you as well as your peers have been magically teleported to this space. The air here is full of colors, illusionary butterflies flit past you. You see one fly right through a classmate and then flutter off. The instructions here were simple, find a partner and traverse this maze but beware, errant adventures turn out to be the fool. Yes, it would seem that this is a place for both tricks as well as treats. This year’s maze was fairytale themed, if one would have read the muggle-books, they would find the things here rather... familiar as if they were teleported right into the book itself, a fairytale come true for some. Those that had not read the books would simply find this a normal maze.
As you look around you notice that there are 4 paths that you can take. One to the North, one to the South, one to the East and One to the West. Moss covered flagstones mark the paths of this natural maze. Which way will you pick.
Options:
A.) Travel North
B.) Travel South
C.) Travel East
D.) Travel West

The usual 200+ word count rule has been reduced to 60+ words. You and your teammate(s) must stick together. If you are unable to make a decision which path to take by the end of this week, either the majority decision wins or a roll will be done to determine your path.
Action success, spells and physical attacks for example, are determined by a d20 roll accompanied with your stats. Results above 15 will be considered successful while anything less is not. Quote your actions and stats in your posts for easier reference.

[quote]You have until 26th April to get your posts in as well as decide on your route to take if you have not done so already. At least 2 players are required for the maze to continue. If an additional layer has not posted by the 26th, the maze with continue without that player. Should only one or no player(s) post by then, the group will be eliminated and therefore will not be able to continue.

Take part in school activities, they said. It would be fun, they said.
Serena sighed as she made her way down to the grounds. She was given it a go: taking part in school activities, clubs and 'fun' things as the adults in her life seemed to encourage her to do this. Well, at least, her grandmother did - and Serena listened to her. The Hufflepuff student had seen a sign up about the maze. Apparently someone called 'Parce' wanted a partner or two for the event. She could not recall having ever met a Parce - was it a boy or girl's name?!
There were a lot of students when she reached the grounds, people taking part in different mazes it seemed. They were transported to the start of the maze. Serena looked around, blinking as she was suddenly lost. It was clear that she had been magically transported inside the maze but she had no idea how it happened. As she turned, her eyes fell onto the outline of the student who was in the team. The Parasite.
Serena stood there, baffled for a good few seconds before she actually managed to open her mouth to speak, "What are you doing here... Wait... You're Parce?" She asked him with a gobsmacked expression on her face, realisation dawning on her that he was her partner for this event. The Hufflepuff was filled with instant regret on signing up for this maze but... it was too late now. They were trapped inside the maze now. She stared at him for a while longer, trying to process this information. "Eurgh, fine, pick a direction. Any direction. Let's just get out of this mess." She grumbled, clearly annoyed at being partnered up with him.

Parcel had come to the events start very early, eager for it to start. He had left a note hanging in the hall that requested teammates. Preferably someone that didn’t shiver in the face of fear! After all, an adventure at Hogwarts would always mean they were to face fear, danger, and maybe even death. It was almost a year since Parcel had carried a bleeding slytherin girl to the infirmary after battling a possessed wizard with power enough to take on 4 students simultaneously… and it was quite frankly getting boring now, he almost missed the adrenaline.
As time went by, more students gathered. Parcel looked around eagerly at the arriving students, was one of them willing to team up with him? Had anyone even seen his note. No one came up to him, but what the hell! If no one joins me then I’ll just do it by myself! Parcel was psyching himself up as he felt like he started to disappear. W-What the! Teleportation? So its beginning?...
Wahahahaha. Parce thought as he was teleported to the beginning. Finally, finally he was back in his ace. He was exploring! This year had been nothing but tumbleweeds, Parcel hadn’t really done anything, nothing of what he dreamt of. Ah such a pain it had been, nothing but girlfriends and drama, but now was different, this was Parcel’s time to shine.
"What are you doing here... Wait... You're Parce?" Parcel froze… he slowly turned his head before looking at Serena. The girl that had acted weird to him all year, sure Parcel had thought she was a kissy prefect, but so had everyone else! “YOU!” He said, pointing at the huffle girl, he wasn’t able to hide the exhaustion in his voice. “W-what is this!? Do you stalk me or something?” He huffed a bit, his first chance to explore this year and he was stuck with this crazy girl! He hadn’t even invited Erin to this, she always got herself injured again, so Parce wanted to let her rest. Instead he got stuck with Erins nr.1 enemy...
"Eurgh, fine, pick a direction. Any direction. Let's just get out of this mess." Scowling a bit, Parcel took his eyes away from Serena so that he could survey the area. Hmm, they look pretty much identical… “Lets just take one at random, what about this one?” Parcel started walking toward the closest path to him.

You and your partner(s) decide to go NORTH, the path is clearly marked with flagstones and after a rather short walk, you are met with a crossroad. There appears to have three paths of exit. Straight ahead is a gigantic perfectly circular doorframe crafted from thick sturdy wood. You would be able to see the same flagstone path behind it until it curves from view. To your left is a path marked with the same flagstones and directly ahead you would see a wall of bushes showing the terminal point of the path, perhaps the trail takes a sudden turn or perhaps it was a dead end or another door awaited. Your other option was to your right, a hedge doorway that led to a pale sandy path with cobblestone walls instead of hedges.
Options:
A.) Go Left (West)
B.) Go Straight (North)
C.) Go Right (East)

Serena stared intently at the boy who was now pointing at her, claiming that she was stalking him. She could not help but roll her eyes at the idea of this mysterious claim that he was making. She was the one who was tricked and deceived into coming here - how did he manage to pin this on her? But she was not surprised. The Parasite was able to twist the reality of the situation and always put the blame on her. It happened before, it happened again - and again. She was no longer surprised at his ability to twist things. He should have been a Slytherin. He was far more cunning than he was brave, after all. It took a cunning mind to twist things so easily and it took a coward to be so afraid of 'cooties'.
"And I was meant to know that you call yourself 'Parce', Mister Paracellsuss Adger Myth?" Serena asked the boy whose first name she pronounced with a double l and a double s. She had no idea if it was the right way to pronounce it but that was the way she thought it was spelt. Her voice was laced with sarcasm and irritation for the boy, "Perhaps if you put Parasite, I'd have known it was you and stayed well away from you and your lies." The Hufflepuff was really regretting being trapped in a maze with this moron but unfortunately, she had no choice. She already knew that there would be a rumour around by this evening that she was a stalker. The way this boy worked, she already knew that he would lie about this too. The quicker she got out of her, the sooner she could get away from him. She looked towards the path that he started walking down after he picked one and nodded, "Fine." Serena replied as she followed him.
They soon got to another set of crossroads, with three directions to move in. "Since I'm 'stalking' you, lead the way and I'll follow." She replied rolling her eyes again. Serena observed each path. The one ahead looked very perfect, too perfect in fact. It made her a bit suspicious. The path on the left was very similar to the one that they had gone down, which could have been a hint towards the correct path or a way circling back to the start. There was no way of being certain without walking down it. The last option was to the right, which had a more humble view that was very different to the other two. It also looked a bit like where danger was, however. Serena's hand shook a little, her breathing slightly audible in the quiet maze. She was overthinking this, right? There were no danger in this, right? She reminded herself that since the masked student had been revealed, the dangers of Hogwarts seemed to have disappeared. They were safe again, now, right? The right looked like it was dangerous, which could have been a trick... It could be the safest path of them all.

Takes the path to the rightParce visibly cringed as Serena mentioned his full name. “It’s a dumb name, I never use the full name…” Parcel mopely looked away before starting to walk down the path he had picked. He hadn’t walked far before the huffle girl started making fun of his name. Gosh, its not my fault I am named that way!! Parcel spun around, pointing at the increasingly annoying girl! This girl didn’t have cooties, no, for Parcel had stopped thinking that was a thing, he had Erin hanging on his arm enough without dying to question the realism of cooties altogether, no, this girl was just weird. “Its not lies when you cling to boys like magic sticky tape!! You’re like those pictures that never bloody comes off the walls, except with boys! I already said I was sorry, what more do you want you stalkerbadger!?”
Parcel puffed his chest a few times with the rhythm of his breathing before he lowered his pointed finger and turned around to the path he was walking on. He scratched his scar gingerly as he tried to blow off any remarks Serena was retorting with. He came to another crossroads. As he looked down the different routes the Stalkerbadger seemed to be content with letting him take the lead.
There was a pretty road… it seemed boring, lets not take that one. He turned his head and looked down the next road, it seemed like the one they had just walked down, the most fun road seemed however to be the one to the right. Parcel’s interest was caught by the difference from the two other roads. “If you say so, then lets go down this path.” Parcel started walking through the hedge doorway. He scratched his scar again as he looked intently around him. “I- I’m sorry… I didn’t mean that you stick to boys, I was angry.” He didn’t look at her but spoke to the air in front of him.

You and your partner(s) chose SOUTH. The path narrows slightly as you make your way down. The illusions butterflies fly pass you every now and then and magical flowers on the hedges bloom as you walk past. The flagstone path abrupt stop about a minute in and the path continues with just grass. As you walk, you may have spotted a small furry animal, probably a squirrel dart across to the opposite hedge. The path ends at a cobblestone wall with two doors. To your right is a metal cemetery like fence door leading to a shaded path. Not far from it is an ordinary hedge door leading to a grassier path.

Serena noticed his cringe, though she did not understand why until he spoke. She was too angry to apologise though and instantly turned defensive, "Ye- Yeah well- It's not like you told me that before!" She responded, deciding that it was his fault that she got confused by the name instead of admitting any sort of fault or blame. It was always other people's fault. Especially the Gryffindor's. He obviously hated her and held some sort of grudge against her. Perhaps because he was jealous that she never kissed him, when he asked. He obviously wanted that and when she rejected him, he was broken and hurt. Clearly that was it.
The Hufflepuff opened her mouth to speak as he had a go at her, comparing her to magic sticky tape. That was not true in the slightest. She actually spent most of her trying to stay away from boys. They seemed to always cause her pain. Her list grew of people to avoid and Paracelsus Myth had signed his name onto it already. He was worse than that Ryan chick he clung to at the party. Wait. "I don't do that! I'm not like you! You're the one who clings to that Ryan girl!! How is it fair that you spread lies about me just because some stupid Gryffindor kissed me, even though I didn't want him to and I hate him for it and yet it's okay for you and Ryan to become parents?!" Serena retorted with, talking much faster than she normally did as words spewed out of her mouth, even know she wasn't sure if he was listening anymore.
Grumbling under her breathe, she followed him as he decided on a path. Her soft panting was audible as she had yelled at the boy. Shoving one hand into her pocket, she walked behind him just muttering away to herself about how he was he was a hypocrite. 'I didn't want to be kissed.', 'It wasn't my fault', 'I hate boys', 'Boys are the worst', 'Stupid dumb Ravenclaw', 'Dern Gryffindor', 'I hate them all'. She continued to mutter, more to herself but he might have heard bits and pieces as their walk was relatively quiet. The only sound she made that was a bit louder was a gasp as she saw something flash past and into a hedge. A furry animal. The hand outside of the pocket curled tighter around her wand.
Serena looked down at her feet as she walked behind the Gryffindor. He apologised. A part of her was too angry to forgive him but she was not even sure what she was angry about anymore. He apologised, right? "I'm sorry for calling you Parac- your full name..." She replied. She was not sorry about her comments about Erin, they were true and it annoyed her that he acted all high and mighty, claiming she 'clung to boys' when she didn't and he actually did those things.
They got to the end of the path, hitting a cobblestone wall with two doors. The colour paled from her face as she stared at the door to the right. The door reminded her of a cemetery. She stared at it, trying not to get scared but it was too late. Her heart was pounding so fast, she wouldn't be surprised if people could hear it from a million miles away.

Parcel turned his head towards Serena as she made a gasp. His eyes darting from her and to the bush the critter had ran to. “What? You wanna pet it or something? We can’t stop to pet stuff now, we’re adventuring.”
Parcel shook his head a bit, did the girl really wanna stop to pet small animals at a time like this? They would lose their momentum, they should use this time to get as far in as possible, exploring every inch… Not pet critters.
He turned his head away from her again as he continued down the path. Brushing away a butterfly from his face, gosh they were annoying, flapping around in front of his eyes, messing with his line of sight.
"I'm sorry for calling you Parac- your full name..." He didn’t turn his head as the huffle girl spoke to him. “Its fine i guess… you didn’t know” Parcel used his hand to brush another butterfly away from his face as he spoke to the air in front of him.
Parcel stopped as he reached the doors, one looked like a gate one could find in front of a little cottage… the other was one that might as well be leading to a tomb… Parcel chuckled a bit, of course he would pick the tomb looking one. He turned his head back to Serena as his hand touched the metal door. “Lets take this one oka-.” He cocked his head to the side, assessing the girl. “what? you sick or something? Its like i can hear your heartbeat from here… Well, get better, we’ll explore this way”
Parcel pushed the door open.
