You are teleported to the heart of a maze. It is obvious that you as well as your peers have been magically teleported to this space. The air here is full of colors, illusionary butterflies flit past you. You see one fly right through a classmate and then flutter off. The instructions here were simple, find a partner and traverse this maze but beware, errant adventures turn out to be the fool. Yes, it would seem that this is a place for both tricks as well as treats. This year’s maze was fairytale themed, if one would have read the muggle-books, they would find the things here rather... familiar as if they were teleported right into the book itself, a fairytale come true for some. Those that had not read the books would simply find this a normal maze.
As you look around you notice that there are 4 paths that you can take. One to the North, one to the South, one to the East and One to the West. Moss covered flagstones mark the paths of this natural maze. Which way will you pick.
Options:
A.) Travel North
B.) Travel South
C.) Travel East
D.) Travel West

The usual 200+ word count rule has been reduced to 60+ words. You and your teammate(s) must stick together. If you are unable to make a decision which path to take by the end of this week, either the majority decision wins or a roll will be done to determine your path.
Action success, spells and physical attacks for example, are determined by a d20 roll accompanied with your stats. Results above 14 will be considered successful while anything less is not. Quote your actions and stats in your posts for easier reference.

[quote]You have until 26th April to get your posts in as well as decide on your route to take if you have not done so already. At least 2 players are required for the maze to continue. If an additional layer has not posted by the 26th, the maze with continue without that player. Should only one or no player(s) post by then, the group will be eliminated and therefore will not be able to continue.

ReducioCecily took a moment to get her bearings after being teleported into the maze before hunting down the rest of Team A-Maze-Ing. Even as she thought about it, she cringed once more at the awful team name. Amadea had come up with it and dragged Adam on board, and the team was formed before Cecily could vehemently convince the two that the name was a tragic pun that should never have seen the light of day. But the two had refused to change the name, so Cecily had finally resigned herself to being a part of Team A-maze-ing.Strength: 6

"Adam, Amadea!" Cecily grinned at her two friends, pushing thoughts of linguistic betrayal out of her mind. "Ready to destroy this maze? I vote left," she said, naming the first direction that came to her mind.

𝓘t was time for round two of the maze event. Last year, Amadea, Adam, and Cecily had taken part in the event as ‘The Team Who Must Not Be Named’ and this year they were back as ‘A-maze-ing.’ Amadea loved the BlossomFest events, but she knew it was partially due to her amazing friends. She was so glad she had ended up doing the maze event with the two Ravenclaws last year. It had led to the blossoming of their friendship; it was perfect timing too with BlossomFest occurring.
Amadea waved to Cecily who had already arrived at the scene, looking as excited as Amadea herself. This was going to be a blast, she knew it. The maze was absolutely gorgeous this year. Amadea didn’t know who had designed it, but whoever the maker was, props to them. It was so gorgeous that she was almost becoming distracted by the beauty, which would not bode well for them if they were trying to escape. Amadea was excited to see what the maze held in store. She had heard the theme this year was Muggle fairytales, something that she was an expert on. She couldn’t wait!
Cecily suggested going left, which meant west. Amadea, like the previous year, had no strategy in getting out of this maze so she nodded and agreed. “Left it is!”

Falling in alongside his teammates in what seemed like just the nick of time -- he was always running late for one reason or another -- Adam grinned at the girls and greeted them happily. They were once again united to take on the Great Maze, this time under the name A-Maze-Ing. It was a bit of a silly name, but Amadea had seemed to like it, and Adam didn't see anything wrong with a bit of silliness. After all, the entire thing was just a big game, wasn't it? And he was sure that they could win.
"Left sounds great!" Adam agreed when Cecily pitched her idea, happy to hear that they were all in agreement. At the beginning of the maze, it was really just pick and choose, but later they might have to strategize a bit more. Well, they'd do that when they got to it. For now he was ready to head west and have some fun!
Action: Follow girls west.

You and your partner(s) decide to go West. The trail curves to the right slightly before turning abruptly to your left. It continues down and after a minute or two, the relatively narrow path finally leads to a more open space. The cooling air is suddenly replaced by warmth as if you had stepped from a typical spring day into the midst of summer. The scorching rays of the sun glares, how was it summer so soon? This area is enclosed by four limestone brick walls. The ground is very fine sand. The area has a romantic Greek aspect at every corner with beautiful architectures. Right in the middle would stand a tall large willow tree with it’s golden leaves and vines swaying at the softest of winds. Behind this tree, about 5 feet away was a golden gate leading back into the maze.
However, should you and your partner attempt to proceed, you’d find your feet stuck to the ground, sinking actually. You would notice that the solid sand you were stepping on a few seconds before had liquified into mud somehow. The mud is now at your ankles, soon reaching your calves. “Leaving so soon?” A voice would suddenly ask. Should you look for the source, you’d find that sitting atop the tree, behind a curtain of leaves was a cat like figure that seemed to blend into the shadow. It smiled, baring it’s sharp gleaming white teeth. Who knew cats could smile? “Would you care for a game?” it purred.
“ I shift when I please,
I can turn into anyone I met,
A gift I had since nativity,
Perhaps it’s magic or genetics.
What am I? ”
