Interacting with Hengist Warbeck
When Amanda swam up to Hengist and greeted him, he seemed a little surprised. I suppose we really haven’t talked that much, Amanda mused. Maybe I should have been more reserved and less vivacious. Oh well. It’s never too late to make a new friend.
Amanda smiled at Hengist. “Yup, that’s me,” she responded cheerfully. “Sorry if I’m being a little overfriendly, I’m just trying to be social for once and make some new friends.” Amanda giggled, treading water. “Isn’t this great?” She splashed water up into the air and it rained back down on her. She wiped water droplets out of her eyes. “I’m so glad that they set up this swimming area also. I wonder if they’ll keep it open all year. Anyways, I’m having the time of my life here at this summer camp. It’s way better than the Muggle camps that I’ve been to and it’s so beautiful here in the U.K. It would be nice to stay forever,” she sighed, the gleam leaving her eyes for a split second before coming straight back. “Where are you from?” she asked Hengist, tilting her head.Hengist: "Amanda, right? I've seen you in class and the common room, but we haven't really spoken. I'm Hengist Warbeck if you don't know my name. I'm really happy they set this swimming area up, I haven't had a good swim since last summer."

Interacting with Amanda and Sophie.
Amanda cheerfully answered, "Yup, that's me! Sorry if I'm being a little over friendly, I'm just trying to be social for once and make some new friends." She then giggled, adding, "Isn't this great?" making a big splash, "I’m having the time of my life here at camp. It’s so beautiful here in the U.K. It would be nice to stay forever.”
Hengist was still not great at socializing, but he was feeling unusually happy in the water and was able to relax enough to not overthink things. Amanda then asked, "Where are you from?" This had been the first time someone in Hogwarts asked where he was from as far as he could remember, so he was happy to answer, especially to someone from the US. "I'm from a small wizard village outside the port town of Falmouth, England. It's really far south west, so we have some beaches that my family goes swimming during the summer. Where in America are you from?" he asked.
Before Amanda could answer, another girl swam up to the pair of them, blonde with a light blue two-piece bathing suit with pink trees on it who Hengist did not know. "Hi! I'm Sophie Murphy! Are you all as excited that the lake opened as I am?" she asked the pair of them. Hengist, feeling slightly bolder now, answered "Hi Sophie, my name is Hengist Warbeck. I might me more excited than you because I haven't had the chance to go swimming since last summer!"

The water was stagnant, quiet and serene if he looked beyond the happily conversing students who had waded chest-deep in the lake. They were only making small talk, and thankfully there was no splashing...just yet.
It was nice being dry. The sun was just the right temperature so that when it hit his back, it didn’t turn it to dust. He was not a shrivelling raisin in the sun, nor was he a freezing slab of meat. ”Anatole!”
The shout came from behind him, and suddenly, he whipped around, remarking with a swift ”Huh?” of shock before getting quite literally swept off his feet by a girl he also swore he remembered from some place far away. Surely it wasn’t his dreams, but how would she know his name? It was one that was easy to remember, yes, but…
With a girlish squeal, Anatole hit the stagnant water on his side. It was colder than the land, and he shivered, shirtless. It was weird when the water caressed his body, slowly sinking for a few moments before hitting the bottom and shooting back up. His flip-flops had fallen off, having been made of foam and could have caused incredible counterbalance as buoyancy. They floated right beside him.
He pushed himself up from under the water, trying to come up with her name. What was it? It started with an A…
Right as he reached the surface, he had it! ”Ami! What was that for? I was on patrol, darn it!” His expression read frustration as his hair looked almost black wet. It clung to his head like a swimming cap. ”I...I guess I could say it’s nice? Unlike you.” Anatole winked to make the comment a jest, suddenly realizing it could have gone bad fast. He learned about the fragility of girls from Rosie before.
Like a silent minnow, another girl came up to them without much warning. With a splash, she got Anatole more wet, much to his dismay. ”Ami! Anatole! How are you?”
Oh! That’s who she was! Another girl Anatole couldn’t remember the name of! He knew that she helped him lift a table in rehearsal...but it didn’t come to him. So he played it off awkwardly. ”Hey...you!” He chuckled, embarrassed. ”I’m alright, but a little cold.” Lowering his voice and tiptoeing over to the girl, he leaned over and whispered, ”What’s your name again…?”

Interaction with Ami Proccopino and Anatole Evans

Mia furrowed her brow and then leaned in towards him, just the tiniest bit upset. It wasn't like she wanted him to remember her-she had just helped him a bit-but it would've been a nice touch. Comforting. Letting her know that someone remembered her. Or even that she was memorable. Still. It didn't matter in the slightest. Anatole was just Anatole. A neutral acquaintance.Hey...you! I’m alright, but a little cold. What’s your name again…?
Mia Alexander.
Mia glanced over at the red haired girl and flushed, color filling her cheeks. What was wrong with her? Why was she acting this silly? She was usually rational, but now her mind went blank. The only thing that she could think of was why didn't she wear something nicer? It wasn't like her black swimsuit wasn't nice-it was-but it didn't cut it. She didn't feel stunning, just mediocre. Mia hated feeling mediocre.
Glancing back at Anatole, Mia had a sudden desire for him to leave. She wanted it to be just Ami and her, alone, splashing in the water in their swimsuits....
Stop it Mia.
Mia shook her head to try to clear it. Of course she wanted Anatole here...he was nice. Nice doesn't mean interesting! Mia's little voice said, but she tried to ignore it, and instead put on a smile. A breakable one, sure, but still a smile.
Ami, what did you push him in for? Now he's cold!
Mia teased Ami half-heartedly, pushing her hair out of her face. She wasn't sure why she was doing this but she was suddenly at a loss for words. Usually it was the opposite, but now? Well now her stomach had butterflies in it and she was thinking weirdly.

Converses with Anatole Evans and Mia Alexander
”Ami! What was that for? I was on patrol, darn it!"
”I...I guess I could say it’s nice? Unlike you.”
"Oh, so now that you're a prefect, you're too high-and-mighty to join us common folk in the water?" Ami shot back, full-well knowing that Anatole was only joking and poking fun at her- after all, she was only jesting as well. Anatole had seemed pretty down-to-earth when they'd first met, so she didn't expect him to get on a high horse and gallop away from them. "You can patrol just as well in the water as you can on land, maybe even better, now that you have a ground view of things, right?"
"Ami! Anatole! How are you?"
It was Mia! Mia Alexander, a sweet Slytherin that Ami had grown really close to over the course of her first year. Anatole said something about being cold, which made sense, especially considering that Ami had just shoved him in the water. Ami smiled widely at her Slytherin friend, and replied, "I'm doing great." Not being able to help herself, Ami looked Mia up and down and smiled. "Cute swimsuit, love." Subconsciously, Ami tugged on the straps of her own swimsuit, wishing she could look as good as Mia.
"Ami, what did you push him in for? Now he's cold!"
"Serves him right," Ami retorted, crossing her arms over her chest defiantly in protest, still partly joking. "You know, we said we would meet up again, and we never did. It's called revenge; vengeance; payback."

Amadea was late. As usual. She hadn't meant to be, as she was Prefect and felt as though she should be one of the first arriving at the lake for swimming, however she had lost track of time and was now rushing to get to where everyone else was already gathered.Interact with Twinnie, Ami, and Anatole
It seemed as though nothing had gone wrong yet, so Amadea relaxed when she reached the lake, looking around to see what was happening. Small groups of people were talking and swimming and Amadea scanned the crowd, quickly finding her friends.
Ami and Mia were standing at the edge of the lake, while the Gryffindor prefect seemed to be swimming in the water. She had missed all of the fun, like usual. Heading over to the group, anyway, she plastered on a smile, hoping her friends would cheer her up.
"Hey guys!" she called out to them, smiling and waving as she approached. "How's it going? And why is Anatole the only one swimming?" Amadea loved the water...most of the time. Unfortunately, Amadea had some very vivid memories of this particular lake and the creatures that were in it...and the many ways one could fall into it. Of course, Amadea had no doubt that the teachers had securely sectioned off this part of the lake, making it safe to swim in, but now that she was really thinking about it, she didn't really want to go into the water. There were just too many bad memories located there.
However, she was here to swim, so without giving another thought to it, she put her arms together and dove into the water, surfacing and staring up at her friends. "Well? Coming?" she asked, beckoning them with her hand.

Interacting with Hengist and Sophie
Hengist told Amanda where he was from.
The place where Hengist lives sounded quite nice to Amanda. She had always dreamed of living in a quaint little English town. She smiled. Oh boy, she thought. This is where all the ridiculous stereotypes come in. Hollywood, celebrities, the like. Before Amanda could respond to Hengist, though, a blonde girl swam up and introduced herself.Hengist: "I'm from a small wizard village outside the port town of Falmouth, England. It's really far south west, so we have some beaches that my family goes swimming during the summer. Where in America are you from?"
"Hi! I'm Sophie Murphy! Are you all as excited that the lake opened as I am?"
Amanda turned to Sophie. “Hi! I’m Amanda Sparrow and yes, I’m so so so excited about swimming! This camp seems like it’s going to be lots of fun!” she responded to Sophie, breaking into a wide grin. Amanda liked this girl Sophie. She seemed to be friendly and outgoing, both of which were things that Amanda liked in a friend. She turned back to Hengist. “And to answer your question,” she said. “I’m from Los Angeles, California. Like, you know, where Hollywood, famous people, and palm trees are. It’s basically your southern California stereotype.” Amanda smirked. “Well, parts of it anyways. Some parts aren’t that nice, kind of run down and sketchy. Luckily, I live in one of the nicer areas. Anyways, what cabins are you guys in? I’m in the Cabin of the Auguery.”

Interaction with Twinnie
, Ami, and Anatole

Mia laughed slightly, her hair cascading down her back. It was definitely something that she would do. Except, instead of pushing him in, she would have done something a bit more...complicated. Revenge was a dish best served with several different utensils and a dash of magic.Serves him right, you know, we said we would meet up again, and we never did. It's called revenge; vengeance; payback.
A bright haired girl bounded into the water, and took a graceful dive in, her body shining in the sun. It was Amadea! The girl she had met once before and asked about some weird stuff-oh about prejudices in the wizarding world. That conversation was fun.Hey guys! How's it going? And why is Anatole the only one swimming?
Mia nodded her head at the excited girl and raised her hands as if to dive in-but then changed her mind. She was going to have a lot more fun.Well? Coming?
Splash
With all of her might, Mia pushed Ami in, drenching her completely. In other words she was absolutely soaked. Her swimsuit dripped, and Mia waited for her reaction. Then, deciding that that was not wise-the older girl was probably much, much stronger, and wanted revenge, Mia dove in after Amadea, her hair fluttering behind her-streaks of red, gold, and brown, all fluttering in the nice breeze.
Surfacing, Mia laughed for no reason in particular, thoroughly enjoying herself. Maybe it wouldn't be such a bad day after all.

Mary wasn't sure if she should make her way to the Great Lake. She was baffled to even hear they were allowed to swim at all in the dangerous lake but, taking that into view Mary decided she couldn't miss the opportunity. Quickly changing into a bright blue one piece Mary set out to the lake.
Upon arrival to the lake she saw many other students had arrived. Having no friends at Hogwarts has made Mary's time at camp very difficult, seeing as she always has to find a solituded corner to sit in. Even though Mary very incredibly nervous and akaward she stepped foot into the water. Having the refreshing water surround her under the beating heat of the summer day, Mary was glad she came. Her time of refreshment was cut short when she realized how close to the other students she seem to be. Not wanting to interrupt them she quickly swam her way towards a lonely corner of the barrier that was created. She was glad she came to the lake but being alone all the time only gave her space to think and so, she thought of her family and her brother and her loneliness. All whilst laying on her back of the cool lake.

Oliver loved swimming, it was the only outdoor activity he could honestly say he was good at. One of his wealthier cousins had a swimming pool, what's where he learned to swim. Some nostalgia came with swimming, some inner happiness. He paddled along, then decided to barrel roll onto his back, where he continued to swim with a clear a path. He looked at his toes. Small and stubby. Not so interacting with Mia Alexander.
Oliver was wearing red swimming shorts with a Hawaiian theme to them, he didn't originally pack them and had his father owl them in a package to him. Which fortunately came fast enough to get here before the event started.
In this peace and tranquility, a splash whipped Oliver in the face and he rose up, looking for the source of where it was. Then his eyes landed on her.
God, she's beautiful... Mia Alexander. He watched her laugh and then dive into the water. He smiled, as if in their circle.
God, I hate her. He turned away and started swimming back to his towel, his eyebrows furrowed in anger. He knew she was a demon and not worth an ounce of his time. Not that she'd want any.
