Got The Music
Cassie up all night doing their assignments for Charms and studying the first lesson of Potions. So many things to remember for the Potions ingredients and almost put them asleep while reading the materials. They woke up with a jolt because they fell from the sofa where they previously occupied in the Slytherin Common Room. This thread will be open up to 3 people, (houses did not matter and First Year girls only, please)
Cassie look at the blank parchment and decided to write something in it.
If any of you are a musician (no matter what instrument you can play)
let's make music together! I will be waiting in Rehearsal Room.
Cassie look down to the word that they just written with bleary eyes and decided it was good enough even though the advertising was a bit short.
The next day, Cassie walk up to the bulletin board and pin the advert on it. They supposedly go back to their Common Room but Cassie being themself always like to procrastinating things that they supposed to do. On the way to their common room, Cassie took a bit detour and found themself in the Rehearsal Room.
When they entered the room, there's stood a old but shiny black grand piano. Cassie decided to give the piano a little bit tune. Cassie sat on it and their finger hover on the black and white keys.

Cassie take a deep breath, open their mouth and start hitting the black and white key.
Day in and day out, I spend my days alone
A life with no affection left in your bones
Hey, why world kept turning my way
Why I felt so alone
A life with no affection left in your bones
Hey, why world kept turning my way
Why I felt so alone
The melancholy tune fill the room with great acoustic. Cassie keep pouring out the heartfelt lyric once they made when they left all alone in the big Ironwoods manor.
You walked through the door, gave me a smile
Said you was not feeling so fine
I know people might see me wrong
I always feel so alone
Said you was not feeling so fine
I know people might see me wrong
I always feel so alone
Cassie picked up the tune, hitting a bit higher key. They sang the chorus part.
I was walking alone in the twilight
No known by anyone
Sent out in a time of fear
I float along I float alone
No known by anyone
Sent out in a time of fear
I float along I float alone
They tried so hard to keep their voice unwavered. Cassie close their eyes and try to keep their tears at bay but no avail. Cassie continue to sang the second part with sniffle here and there.
Here you are through thick and thin
Till I where alone and confused
When all the roses came out
But I always cried alone
Till I where alone and confused
When all the roses came out
But I always cried alone
For the second pre chorus, the dam of their tears just broke. The broken and sad voice can be heard from the ajar door of the Rehearsal Room.
I know people might see me wrong
I always feel so alone
And I get blown away so many times
Wish I could get you alone with me
I always feel so alone
And I get blown away so many times
Wish I could get you alone with me
Cassie opens their eyes and the tears still rolled down their face. Cassie take a deep breath to control their emotion and sang the last two part of the songs.
Oh no thousand hands will hold me
You know, at the end
Better left to call my own
Than be alone when I need you most
You know, at the end
Better left to call my own
Than be alone when I need you most
Cassie repeated the chorus one last time with soft melody.
I was walking alone in the twilight
No known by anyone
Sent out in a time of fear
I float along I float alone
No known by anyone
Sent out in a time of fear
I float along I float alone
When the last tune rang out from the black and white keys and filled the room, Cassie wipe their tears and leaned their forehead onto the black piano. Cassie close their eyes and take a deep breath again. "Blimey! that was something else"Cassie mumbled to themself and chuckles to no one in particular.

Ginevra waited with both a violin and a guitar by her side. She was not sure if it was a joke or what: someone had stuck a poster (well, okay, it was a hand-written ad with no pictures actually) on the school's bulletin board, and it announced something about "musicians wanted".
Number one, she was not sure what the writer was talking about. Was that student looking forward to perform in a talent show or something but lacked a member? Or was he - or she - just wanted to have fun? Or was a band or an orchestra being established?
Number two, what kind of music were they going to perform? Would it be more like high-class classical pieces or casual genres such as pop or rock 'n roll? (Either case, she wanted to give it a try. So here she was, with both a violin and a guitar.)
And finally... number three, which had just occurred now that she had entered the Rehearsal Room: was that ad serious or was it some kind of joke? There was no one in sight save for a Slytherin student who was on the piano and singing. They looked as if they were having fun with themselves instead of waiting for someone to show up, as if Ginevra had just stepped into a wrong place - or if she was late because the audition had finished.
Not wanting to disturb the other student, the first-year Hufflepuff just sat and waited to see what was going to happen next.

Mars hauled their guitar down the stairs of the West Tower, the wooden body of it thumping awkwardly at their side. They sighed, hoisting it up a little higher; God, this thing was hard to travel with. Their eyes roamed around the stairwell, as they plucked absentmindedly on the guitar strings.
They had gotten the guitar out in the dorm room to practice, but the muttering from some of the other Ravenclaw girls sitting on their beds reading textbooks had driven them out of there in a hurry. Now, they clunked down the stairs, considering all the places they could practice.
There was obviously the courtyard—that had worked before, but they also had every intention of just screwing around for a while and didn't particularly feel like broadcasting it to every passerby. Perhaps the Great Lake could work, but grass stains weren't really their thing. Wonder if there are practice rooms in this God-forsaken castles?
They walked through the Small Hall to the Great Hall and stopped in front of the bulletin board. There had to be a map here, no? Or at least a list of classrooms so Mars would wander around aimlessly for a bit. They scanned the cork, flying past bright posters and little news clippings. Then, their eye caught on a poster.
It was handwritten and had a simple message: If you are a musician, come to the Rehearsal Room. Ah, so there was a Rehearsal Room. Good to know. Apparently, there was an audition as well.
Musing, Mars stared at the poster for a moment. They'd never thought about trying out for a band. There was no reason to not, they supposed.
----
After wandering for a while, they'd finally stumbled across what they thought were the Rehearsal Rooms. It had to be semi-correct at least because the soft melody of a piano was drifting out of one of the open doors.
Mars walked up to it, pulling it wider than it was to fit their guitar. Then, they stepped inside.
Ah. This seemed correct. There was that wix again, the same one they kept seeing around campus. They were seated at the piano, fingers expertly running along the keys. They had a powerful voice and haunting lyrics sprang from them, filling the room.
Another witch was standing a bit awkwardly to the side. She had a guitar in one hand and a violin in the other and was looking around seeming a bit lost. Mars approached her first, seeing as the wix at the piano was a bit preoccupied.
"Hey, do you know if I'm in the right place?"

Cassie is lost in their own thought then they heard a whisper, "Hey, do you know if I'm in the right place?". It looks like there is someone else beside that person. Cassie raised their head from where they leaned upon the black piano, look to one side and wiped the tear streaked of their face with the heel of their hands. They stand up and clear their throat. "Welcome to Rehearsal Room. My name is Cassandra but you can call me Cassie or Cash, whichever it is fine by me"Cassie introduced their name to the other witch and wix. "The purpose of this meeting is I want to form a girl band. I know Hogwarts already have one band consist all males also in this room is a place where you can be creative with your music and channeling whatever your heart desires without being judge"Cassie continues. The one wearing Hufflepuff insignia on the left side of their robe, holding a guitar and violin. The other wix, with Ravenclaw insignia bring their guitar also. The Ravenclaw wix, Cassie once or twice passed them by around the castle. "Nothing serious about the audition. I just want to know how good you are with your selection of instruments and what position do you wish in the band,"Cassie said to ease the nervousness if one of them or both of them feel nervous about the audition."If you have any questions before we start, feel free to ask away"The Slytherin girl told their soon to be bandmates and smiles. "So, are you both prepare any song for the auditions? Whose going to begin first?"Cassie asked the pair.

Before the Hufflepuff had a chance to answer, the wix at the piano stood. It seemed like they were—crying. Or had been anyway. They wiped a tear from their face with their palm anyway. How odd. Still, they smiled at Mars and the witch by their side, confirming that, indeed, they were in the right place.
Mars glanced at the Hufflepuff, and then hefted their guitar at their side. They walked up to the piano bench, past the Slytherin wix. Cassie, ah right.
"I guess I'll go," Mars said, pulling the piano bench away from the grand instrument, "but imma need this." They promptly sat, swinging their guitar up to rest on their knees.
Gazing down at the steel strings, they plucked lightly, ensuring that they were all in tune. The low E string was a little off; Mars let that sixth sense—perfect pitch, the book had said—guide them. Then, satisfied, they let the strings ring out in a smooth open chord. Perfect.
Pulling a pick out of their back pocket (they had found these tucked away in a little tab attached to the frame of the guitar and marveled at the crispness of the tone compared to their fingers), they set into an easy song.
Youth, by Troye Sivan. A muggle song, but then, that was all they knew. It was an upbeat song about young love for the most part, slipping easily into the pop genre as did most songs these days. They liked the way their voice sounded with this song; they'd always had a bit of a lower range and they thrived in the little spins and runs they could put on the ends of lines. The tune swept up and up, encompassing them in that all familiar warmth. The duet edge rang in their head but they let it be. Nothing to worry about for now.
With a final strum, they finished, letting the strings buzz as they cut off. They gave the other wixes in the room a lopsided smile.
"So... did I pass?" they asked cheekily. Thumbing at the guitar, they looked around the room.
"I think I could pick up some other instruments pretty fast too, if we need to fill the instrumentation. I've always wanted to play drums anyway."
Then, they nodded at the Hufflepuff.
"Let see what you've got, darling."
