Me? Scared of Heights? Never. Finished

Willow jumped right in on everything she could be a part of with Hogwarts. One of those things included joining her house's Quidditch team. She thought the irony was funny of stereotypical witch's having brooms that they fly on, that's one of the main things kids would tease her about at school. Which made her more excited to join the team.

Here's the thing. She had never gone or done anything that involved her being up high. Not even on a top floor of the building. Even if she had gone somewhere like that, nothing could've prepared her for what it felt like to be flying up on a broom. It felt like she could fall at any moment. Sure, she had been in flying class but she had never also been playing a game while flying. One that requires physical contact. All in all, her first Quidditch practice was terrifying to say the least.

Once everyone landed and said goodbye, she decided to stay a bit longer to practice her flying skills and try and break out of the fear. She didn't know if it was exactly safe to practice alone, especially if she were to fall for any reason but she wasn't going to do anything too crazy. At some point from high up, she noticed someone walking up to the training pitch. She flew down, albeit a bit wobbly since she was tired, and recognized Ariana. "Hey! What are you doing all the way out here?" She dismounted from the broom and started to stretch out her body since it was tense from the practice she had been doing.

Ariana felt the breeze lightly tickle her face as she strolled down to the quidditch pitch to put away her broom. She had been delighted since she had been accepted on the gryffindor team, and proud to be a part of something she was so passionate about, she couldn't wait for her first match! Her thoughts were cut off as shehe stopped suddenly in her tracks as she spotted a figure circling around not far from the ground on a broom, buy the colour of his or her robes it was a hufflepuff but Ariana wasn't sure who. Ariana didn't really have a problem with this person on the pitch so late, after all she was a huge trouble maker herself and mostly played pranks for the fun of it. Narrowing her green eyes slightly, she peered more closely as the figure now dropped a few feet coming down towards the ground, "Hey! What are you doing all the way out here?" She shouted. She did not mean it as something rude, part of her wanted to also mount her broom and kick off into the night sky, but she didn't want to lose her place on the team, as much of a troublemaker she was, besides, she was exhausted from the days practice and hadn't she flown her earlier. Yeah... she should let it rest. Should she? She decided that the person hadn't heard her, or perhaps didn't know who had shouted, so abandoning her thought, she mounted her broom and kicked off speeding towards the figue, until she could see who it was. "Willow?" She questioned, it looked like the kind hufflepuff girl she had met earlier on. Willow grinned back at her, "Hallo Ariana!" Ariana grinned back, she suddenly felt childish and adventurous, "Fancy a quick game of tag?" She challenged, brushing her hair out of her eyes, "I bet you can't catch me!" and off Ariana sped into the night sky, her long brown hair whipping around her.

Willow was surprised when Ariana also had a broom in hand, she didn't know she was on the Gryffindor team. Maybe they would be able to play a match against each other at some point. What surprised Willow even more was when Ariana kicked back off the ground into the sky. She contemplated the pros and cons of joining Ariana, but figured it wouldn't hurt to have a little fun after a day of all work. She lifted off, pausing once she reached Ariana's height to tie her hair back up into as tight of a ponytail as she could manage. No use in flying if she wouldn't be able to see. She watched her fly for a few seconds, seeing if she was moving in a pattern before whisking after her her, attempting to cut her off from the direction she was headed. As they were closing in, Willow leaned forward to get that extra kick of speed she needed to catch up with her. She passed Ariana, tapping her on the back as she wen. "You're it!" She shouted over the wind that was flying past both of them. She dove down and switched directions in an attempt to lose her for a second and gain a distance advantage.

"You're it!" Willow shouted over the loud wind. Ariana laughed, this girl was certainly good on a broom, she matched Ariana's talents, her speed and everything she was good at it, Ariana raced after her, peering to spot her in the night air. there she was down below, Ariana pulled into a sharp dive and and swerved in the air to block her and she came racing forward. "guess who it is now" she smirked and flew near the ground, waiting for willow to catch up with her. Suddenly she felt a drop of rain on her head, "Oh no" She gasped looking up towards the sky, I forgot that there was gonna be a storm tonight. She sped down, passing willow as she went, "We have to call it off, there's gonna be a big storm coming tonight!" she reached the ground and dismounted her broom just as it started to pour down, Willow can in next to her and they raced to the broom shed stowing away their brooms quickly and then making their way out, careful not to slip in the mud. Ariana didn't really mind the rain at all, she loved getting wet and muddy, you had to if you liked quidditch, but it was the wind that she didn't always like. It was fine sometimes, but when it got too strong sometimes it was too much. Ariana wasn't particularly tall and her small-ish height didn't really advantage in the strong winds, so gathering up her things, she and willow made their way up to the castle, careful not to let anyone see them, so that they didn't get in trouble. They reached the front doors and stepped inside, Ariana turned to grin at Willow. "best get to our common room before anyone sees us" She laughed, “but that was fun, we should do it again sometime" She turned to walk away, calling to the hufflepuff as she went. "See ya later then!"

Willow was surprised that Ariana had caught up to her quite fast, it just proved to her that she needed to continue to practice on her broom skills. She started to go after her, but paused when Ariana shouted out about the rain. She looked up, just as a rain drop hit her on the nose. She followed Ariana's lead heading down towards the ground and quickly dismounting. She absolutely adored the rain. She would keep riding if she wasn't already afraid about getting in trouble. Her and her family often would dance in the rain and get muddy. It was a nice moment for them all to have and it would always be such a good way to relieve the stress that they were going through at any time.

She paused for a second before running off to take a moment and let the downpour hit her for a few moments, the raindrops on her skin felt amazing especially since her body was so warm from practice. She turned, realizing that Ariana was already leaps and bounds ahead of her stumbling in the mud as she tried to race after "Hey wait up!" She couldn't help but laugh out of happiness. This felt so nice. As they reached the front doors of the castle, she realized just how soaking wet she was. Hoping no one would ask too many questions in her house. "I hope you make it to your house without trouble! I'll beat you next time." She stuck her tongue out at the Gryffindor, before carefully but quickly heading towards her house.
