A Place For New Beginnings
Interacting with @Lucille Williams
"I don't think I'm really the sports type and that's okay," she said as she looked down on the quidditch players, still working on their team strategies or whatever it was they were doing down there. "Oh and traveling by Floo isn't so bad once you get used to it, but it can leave one feeling a little twisty and sick to their stomach. I've also seen where people have ended up slapping themselves during transit," she laughed a little at the thought of that.
"I can't wait to be older and can apparate." She dipped her paintbrush in some blue paint. "I've met lots of muggleborns since I've been here," especially in her house of Hufflepuff. "I find it fascinating what muggles come up with to replace magic in the form of technology. It's simply genius, it really is. It's like magic in their own unmagical way." She had heard through Clifton mostly about music players and cellphones, washing machines and cars.
"Makes my existence feel so standard and boring," she grinned, but she really was okay with it. She made lots of adventures for herself. "So what's your favorite thing to do here at Hogwarts?" The quidditch people down there probably favored quidditch the most. They seemed quite dedicated to it.

'Oh dont worry, I'm hardly the athlete anyway.'
Lucille began to Alina once again.
Trying to keep track of all these wizarding wonders had begun to challenge Lucille's hopeful mind, what the different between 'normal' chess and wizard chess for example. As one gave you feedback and the other...mainly left you to the wolves.
A small giggle escaped Lucille when the Hufflepuff mentioned self-slapping during 'floo' powder travel.
'I think I'll wait a bit until I try that, getting a major stomach ache isn't want I'm lookin' for.'
Being a muggleborn the most exciting kind of trip was one of those fancy Disney cruises, with everything from a giant slide to a buffet larger then a hundred stomachs.
The wizarding world however? Brooms, apparation, floo, the list could probably be infinite, which is why Lucille was so curious of all the possibilities.
"All this magic stuff is more interesting than any muggle tech, I mean, what you do everyday is what most muggle kids dream of!"
She said, trying her best to sound convincing. The thought of taking all of...this for granted just seemed insane.
"I usually go to the library after classes, there's just so many things to know and all, so why wouldn't you want to know more?"
Well, how Ravenclaw was that statment huh? Though it was probably one hundred percent true, Lucille couldn't help but feel a bit embarassed about how comfortable she felt.
Letting her guard down could be difficult, especically since Lucille hardly realized she even had a guard up in the first place.
"Er..anyway! What do you usually do here?"
Lucille would ask Alina, returing the simple question seemed like the best way to continue, after all, having the Hufflepuff simply leave felt like a waste of time.
