A young boy, one with a smaller frame and height, hair an unnatural gray color that seemed to shine like silver in the light, eyes a gentle greenish blue, wide and always curious, and pale skin that was naturally flushed, stood in the door of a local ice cream parlor. Lyrell had recommended this place to him, telling him stories of how her friends would come there often to even just hang out and talk. She always brought them pastries, and at some point more people came to even buy them from her. But they were never for sale, she always gave them for free.

So because of that, Marco did too. He brought a few pastries for the two friends he was going to meet up with. One of them Charles, was who he was closest too, had encouraged him to invite another person to their little meeting at the Parlor. The one that Charles had encouraged him to invite ended up being a boy named Alan Vanes. A perky boy from his Charms class that he has had the honor of being seated next to. He quite enjoyed the other's bright personality, and quirky way of speaking. He's really a great pick-me-up kind of person. He's surprised the other didn't end up as a Hufflepuff instead of a Gryffindor.

But anyways, after being shoved a bit and told to get out of the way by an older man, he quickly guided himself inside, settling down at a table and setting up the little basket of pastries. He came much earlier than needed, but didn't touch a single one of the pastries, wanting to save them for the others. Though he did let a few passer goers take one if they wanted. He gingerly sipped from a water bottle though. He seemed very nervous.

Alan was still somewhat surprised about the sudden invite he received just this morning in Charm's class. He never thought anyone would invite him somewhere at all, but then suddenly this Hufflepuff boy did just that. He was small, about as small as Alan was himself and had a very unusual hair colour, a light grey to be exact, that framed his delicate face.
Alan himself wasn't tall or muscular himself, but still was far from scrawny. A smiled tugged on his pale pink lips as his vibrant green eyes sparkled with excitement as he skipped through the Diagon Alley. He just once had visited this place some while ago throwing his newest purchase at some strangers - but that was not very important and long forgotten as the spring raised itself above the winter letting flowers bloom and birds sing in the most colourful and melodious ways.

When he finally reached the chosen place, an frequently visited Ice Cream Parlour one known for having the best pastries and ice cream in the whole Diagon Alley, he looked around shyly, trying to find the familiar face of the person that sat next to him in one of his favourite classes - having someone to talk to was making that lesson a lot more interesting than he first anticipated it to be.
When he finally made out the greyish colour within all those people with the more usual once, he froze in place. Was it really okay for him to let someone he barely know pay for him? He knew that this guy was very vehemently trying to not make him worry about it, but it still felt unfamiliar, but oddly nice. After he got that offer he couldn't have helped it but looking at his partner like if he was some alien being. But it were just a matter of seconds until he agreed to that kind offer hoping they would be friends soon.

He could see Marco offer some pastries to passing strangers, while he himself was having none of the full basket of delicious treats. At first he wondered if maybe Marco knew those people, but only after a few seconds he knew it was none of it - Marco seemed to be just the nicest person on earth!

After Alan took another deep breath to get rid off his anxiety, he made a walk towards the table just five minutes before they had wanted to meet and gave the other boy a nervous smile. As he took a seat he mumbled a quick greeting that sounded somewhat like "Hey... I hope you didn't wait that long..." With a pale hand he nervously tugged at the hem of his school robes as he had just came here after spending some time in the library. He was doing some research for his new position as a writer of GryffPost about the next article he had to write.

"How are you?" He asked with a bit more courage now as he looked around confused. Didn't Marco mention another guy coming with them?

He quickly became worried, as it was nearing the time the other two were supposed to show up, but they were no where in sight. He tapped his fingers nervously against the table, glancing out one of the windows before suddenly being shocked by the quick presence of Alan next to him. He seemed to beam a bit, his worried look being quickly replaced with a gentle smile.

"A-Alan! You came!" He sounded genuinely joyful, as he half expected him not to. " No, not been long, I came early, yes?"

He watched the other sit down. "I am... fine, yes. Nose is healing still." He gestured to the slight bruising around the bridge of his nose. "Oh- how are you? You want pastry?"

It was odd to see Marco sound so confident in his speaking, although his English was still a bit broken, but he didn't seem so silent and reserved. Quite the opposite in fact, sounding kind and open to the other. It was a stark difference to how he would act in class, or around other students. Maybe it had to do with a bit of encouragement he had gotten from Lyrell in a letter recently, or maybe he's just comfortable around Alan, maybe even both? Who knows, but it's quite nice to see this shy boy smile.

Alan wondered why the boy who was now infront of him had looked so worried before he approached the table, they supposedly would sit at. He wondered if Marco had maybe thought that he was not coming to the Ice Cream Parlour which was some kind of nonsense, since Alan had already agreed to him, that he would not mind to hang out with his friend for a while and even get to know a new face, Charles is how Marco had introduced him. Alan had so far never talked to anyone in the school that owned this name and was kinda excited to change that fact. He was timid though and a bit nervous, since he did not want to embarrass himself infront of one of Marco's friends. That would be the worse that could happen this day that by no means already had started out perfectly. If he would really mess that one up he would not forgive him that and do everything in his power to make everything allright again - no matter what he would have to do to earn that forgiveness.
But still. Seeing Marco that nervous made him wonder if he maybe was sad about something or if something had happened to him. Maybe someone had been mean to him, because Marco sure did not look like someone that would really be able to defend himself if something would happen. But not because he was weak, but because he was just such a nice guy and probably would rather be harmed emotionally than make someone feel pain wether it was emotional or physical pain. If really something should have happened to Marco, Alan would forget everything about his shyness and jump in-between whoever was trying to harm the boy he considered a friend already, even though they barely knew yet. But they kinda just matched and it would be a promising relationship as the world has never seen them, or something like that. Stopping the rollercoaster ride of thoughts he finally gave Marco a cheerful grin, as his arrival had seemingly stopped the others nervous state, exchanging it with a similar excitement that Alan was feeling himself. A very promising friendship indeed.

Alone when he heard that joyful voice calling out his name with such a pure happiness that it would even make a goblin smile, as it was so contagious and gentle. Alan rolled his eyes as he tugged back a strand of his soft blonde hair yet again, so that it would free his sight for at least a few seconds, giving him a nice view at the other boy, he gave him a cheeky smile.
"Of course I came here!" He exclaimed sounding a little bit shocked, that his friend was even suggesting that he would agree to this meeting at the shop and then dump them without reason or apology. "You don't need to worry, if I agree to something I mean it!" He chirped, making his own face lit up in a toothy grin, that showed the two rows of perfectly white teeth, as he cared a lot for hygiene. He even brushed his teeth before he got here just to make sure that there were no bits of anything between his teeth, so that he would not make a fool out of himself. He just wanted to look presentable for his friend and the person he hoped will be one of his few friends soon enough.
"But it is good, that you had not to wait for a long time, because honestly you must have been bored out of your mind!" He giggled softly, his gaze focused on Marco as his mind began to play up their first encounter. It had been not such a long time ago, in their first Charms lesson, when he had been nearly late. He still could remember some bits of him being just on time, before class had started and how he acted like a total fool. He could remember stuff like that, even though he was considered a very forgetful person. That is why he always took enough notes in class, so that he would not have any problems when it came to doing the homework assignments or essays on various topics as the professors loved to make them do. He even wrote a Diary, that was absolutely secret, because he wrote everything in it, or everything he thought would be important to remember. Whenever he made an entry those things seemed to be more rememberable than it was without writing things down. His encounter with Marco was one of the things he had written down in his small notebook.

When he sat down at the table with three chairs, from which only one was empty, since Charles had yet to arrive, he took a glance around, trying to make out his surroundings as nicely as possible. Each table had either two or four chairs placed around them, which basically meant that Marco had either leant one of the chairs from another table or borrowed one to a bigger group, who was in need for another chair. Both options were possible, since Marco was just such a nice boy, who probably would rather stand then seeing that another one had no place to sit down. On each table was a nice cover of white fabric with colourful details, that fit to the colour scheme of Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour .

At the mention of the bruising around the others bridge of nose, his eyes narrowed slightly. He did not knew what happened until now he had just asked if he was in any pain or needed some treatment. "What happened there anyways? Did you bump against anything? Because honestly if someone else did this to you, you should report them or I will make sure that they will never bother you again, you would just need to tell me their name! Because bullying my friends is not acceptable and will not be tolerated by me!" He muttered and let out a small puff of breath, as he sank down in the chair exhausted by his small, lively speech.
"See, you are my friends and no one is allowed to be mean to them. Ever"

"I am fine, you wanna know something? I got accepted as a writer for the Newspaper team from my house! I am totally excited - I got the owl and could not believe it. At first I thought it was fake, but it even had my Head of House's sign on it, so I really got accepted" he said his voice getting a bit louder with his growing excitement, but not loud enough to bother any of the other guest that sat at the tables around them. "So that means I can write articles and collumn now and they will get published so that every Gryffindor, who is interested in reading GryffPost will be able to read it." He explained cheerfully. In his excitement he had forgotten to talk a bit slower so that Marco could understand him more easily, but he would hopefully understand most of what he told him, considering that he was already used to his way of talking. He would have just to repeat the words, if Marco would ask for it. Even though Marco was slowly getting use to his way of talking, he still had some problems understanding him properly, considering that he is russian and still had some struggles with the language.

He then smiled gently and gave a shy nod, as he reached for the basket in the middle of the table and took a pastry. He chose a sweet pastry that had some strawberry jam in it and was sprinkled with liquid chocolate, which had dried already. As he took a small bite of it the mixed tastes were like heaven. It just tasted unbelievable delicious and was just a master piece of bakery. After he had munched on the piece long enough, he swallowed happily and gave Marco yet another grin. "It's super delicious!"

Looking up he tried to search for someone their age heading for the table, just because he was confused where the third boy was, that had wanted to come here.
"Do you think.... Ch-Charles will be there soon?" He asked stuttering at speaking the name of an unknown person. He really hoped that everything will go well that day and that they a three will end up as friends. Maybe the both of them could even help him with some pranks he was planning.

The brunette walked down the alley, her head tilting up to inspecting the shophouses. It was as if she was here yesterday. Aurelia had only been to diagon alley once, that was with her parents to get her necessary purchases before she bid farewell and was on the train to Hogwarts about five months ago when she was an inch shorter in height.

Aurelia stopped on the grey cobblestone ground in front of the threshold of a shop. “Florean Fortescue Ice Cream Parlour,” read Aurelia. The girl smiled small palm pushed the wooden door open. The shop was crowded and almost all the seats were taken, it was something she expected on a day of the weekend. She didn’t mind eating with standing. It would be a waste to leave the only store which sold icecream just because there were too many costumers who wanted the same thing she did, who didn’t like icecream?

Hogwarts had all the delicious food anyone could dream of, however it disappointing just didn’t have ice cream, she wondered why that was so. Aurelia hadn’t had a taste of icecream for a period of 5 months in Hogwarts, she hoped she had brought enough money for just a cone. The girl slipped her hand into the he pocket of her denim jeans and pulled out some coins. The girl had counted twenty knuts and was probably enough. She put the coins back into the pocket.
I got accepted as a writer for the Newspaper team from my house! I am totally excited - I got the owl and could not believe it. At first I thought it was fake, but it even had my Head of House's sign on it, so I really got accepted.
Her head turned as she heard someone exclaim a bit to loudly. There at the far end of the room, sat two boys around a table of four seats. She recognised one of them, the boy with silvery hair was Marco. Perhaps she might be able to sit with them. She preferred sitting down to enjoy her icecream instead of standing standing.

The price for a scooe was only 5 knuts and 8 for two scoops. She watched as the vendor pressed the two scoops onto the cone. After the bronze coins were handed to the vendor, the girl strode over to the table where Marco sat at.
Mind if I sit here? There aren’t any other seats available.” Without waiting for their consent, she pulled the chair back and plopped herself down.
Aren’t you the new guy in the Gyffpost? It’s Alan right?” Aurelia asked. She had heard rumours in the office that there was a new guy joining the team.
