Vented Out Frustrations PV Opeila and Breana

@Opeila Seilun
In her natural habitat, Breana is in her current element: Doing some advanced reading, the desk that she's currently occupying in filled to the brim with stacks upon stacks of books. She's slowly gotten used to the library's organizing system that she can easily find the book she's looking for now. For today, it's some advanced reading on future lessons. She's gotten so excited with the future spells in store for the future classes that she couldn't help but snoop through the advanced books. Right now she's reading on a 3rd year book on Charms. She didn't expect to love charms just as much as potions, but after the first lesson she attended, she was hooked. The spells that she learned there are like how she learnt potions, but with the spells they're more portable, and easier to use since most just needed the wave of her wand.

One spell in the 3rd year book caught her attention, and that was the Wind Jinx, Ventus. She wondered if that was in the same vein as how the Assistant Librarian house elf put the books back in their proper places after the students are done with them. She used her wand as a pointer, lightly tracing the tip of her wand along with the description of the spell. "Ventus..." She said to herself softly. "A jinx that emits a strong gust of wind or cyclone from the tip of the wand. Usually used to move objects such as books." Her eyes glimmered at the thought of learning this spell in class. She can easily move her personal books in from one place to another. "Maybe I can use this like a backpack?" She wondered.

The spell already sparked the curious nerve in her. She looked around, making sure no one has spotted her. She looked down at the spell, its wand movement, and enunciation. "Just a small huff... Just to see if it can move a book..." She reassured herself, making sure she can tone it down into just a simple blow of the wind. She pointed it at a book on her desk, and started twirling her wand before whispering, "Ventus." She waited. Five minutes. Ten. Alas, nothing. Breana puffed her cheeks, now a bit annoyed and wanted it to show a hint of a cyclone. "Okay, one more time!" She muttered. She twirled her wand again, her voice now raised as she said, "Ventus!" Finally, it happened. A burst of a wind flew her hair back. She gasped, laughing to herself as she did it with no hitch. Then, a large gust whizzed off from her wand, creating chaos as it blew off a ton of books from her desk, as well as some from nearby shelves. "Nononono! Stop!!" She pleaded, but the tiny cyclone pushed through. Unfortunately, it's currently heading straight towards an unsuspecting little girl. "Look out behind you!" Breana yelled to the girl, hoping that she can dodge it in time.

Opeila had decided to just go through some books she had no idea about. Like ancient runes. She had no idea about ancient runes. They looked like strange drawings to her.
Still, the longer she looked at them, they seemed to get more meaning and suddenly she was excited to learn about them in class.

She remembered drawing symbols with friends in nursery and then pretending that they were some sort of secret language. It had been fun to send those secret messages to each other, until they had discovered the problem in this. They had no idea what the other wanted to tell them. After that the exchange had stopped.

Opeila smiled at the memory. Muggle friends in nursery. It had all been so easy, totally uncomplicated. She wished that it was like this again.

A Ravenclaw caught her attention by reading a paragraph of a book out loud. A wind spell. Ventus.
The girl actually tried to do the spell and Opeila shook her head. She did not believe, that the first year would be able to do spells she had not learned in class. Even if it was a Ravenclaw. Although that didn't have to mean a lot, most of the Ravenclaws Opeila had met, didn't even seem booksmart, not to mention clever...

Opeila was about to focus on her book again, when she heard the girl shout at her to look out. She jumped to the side to see a tiny cyclon moving through the library. The Slytherin's eyes were widened in disbelief.
"What- Why on earth would you-" She exhaled. "Why would you try a spell you don't know in the library?" She watched an excited librarian stop the cyclon and then shoot an angry look at Breana, probably for being loud.

Breana winced and closed her eyes, expecting the worst to happen for the poor girl. Fortunately, she didn't hear any loud crashes or books falling off. Instead, when the little Ravenclaw opened her eyes, as saw the fellow student safely away from the cyclone's path. She trudged over quickly to the Slytherin girl, stopping to double over and catch her breath. "I.... I didn't...." She wheezed, lowering her voice as she remembered they're in the library. "I didn't... think it'd pull off that big of a mess." She huffed, standing back up properly. She looked over at the librarian that stop the chaos. Breana gave her an awkward smile, waving meekly as the woman stormed off back into her usual position.

She sighed out of relief. "I'm just glad ya didn't get hurt. I don't wanna be the cause of some sort of Slytherin smoothie!" She chuckled. Breana frowned as she saw the scattered books that were on her desk. "I knew I shouldn't have stacked up so many..." The Ravenclaw sighed. The librarian took care of the ones that flew off the desk of course, but the ones that were on the blue eagle's desk are her own responsibility, since she took them out for her own studying. She crouched down and started piling them neatly so she can put them on her desk again. She had a serious case of deja bu as she did so."Oh!" She held out her hand to her almost victim, still crouched down. "The name's Breana. Oliveire. Sorry for the wind attack, by-the-by."

Opeila had seen a lot of stupid behaviour since she had left the Hogwarts Express and she was not sure if she could put this into the category as well. However, the girl seemed quite surprised that it worked, what made Opeila think that she had probably only tried it out for fun in the first place, not because she tried to make a mess out of the library.
"It's fine, I guess.", she said, picking up some of the books and then placing them on the tables. "No harm done."

The Ravenclaw was... a child. Opeila couldn't find another word for her right now, but it made her smile. The Slytherin had met too many early grown, mature students in here, it was a bit of a relief to actually meet a kid here, that didn't look like she had gone through some sort of trauma.
She smiled at the Ravenclaw. "Don't worry, it missed me. No uh... Slytherin Smoothie."

The girl now also seemed to notice that stacking books up that hig was not the best thing to do if you planned to cast wind spells at them afterwards. "I'll help you... What did you want to do with that many books anyway? You can hardly read them all today.", she asked her.

"Yes, I remember. You were in the errand for the dessert decorating, right? I'm Opeila Seilun."
Opeila usually went for first and surname together at the beginning before she settled for one of them, but she felt weird calling this sonehow very cute little girl by her surname.

She shook her head, smiling as the Slytherin girl helped her with arranging the books again. "I wish I can say the same for the books here... I just hope the creases on the pages won't ruin them permanently!" She sighed, placing the final books back on the table. She couldn't help but flip through the pages of the books she picked up, trying her best to flatten out the creases she made because of the spell. Having lived inside her family's bookshop for a good amount of her life, it's not surprising that one of the main worries the Ravenclaw has is if she made a permanent dent on the books she brought out of shelves.

Breana looked up to the Slytherin girl, registering her smile as her agreeing to her worry for the books, laughing as the girl mentioned the amusing alliteration she thought of. She looked around, making sure there wasn't any noteworthy authority lingering near her. She then turned to the girl with a lowered voice. "It's a good thing there weren't any prefects that stopped by here... otherwise we'd both be in deep trouble." She whispered. She never encountered getting in trouble with a teacher in Hogwarts before (other than the occasional over-eagerness of testing out newly learned Potions from the professor), so she'd rather not experience such problems as soon as First Year.

As her books are all back in their proper order, she looked back at the green-clad girl, an almost mischievous grin curling up in her lips. "That sounds like a good challenge." She said before laughing a bit. "In all honesty? It's a bad habit of mine. I even have a stack of muggle books back in my dorm room that I haven't even opened yet." She shook her head. "Bad reading habits aside, I do tend to finish books every now and then..." She then sat back down on her table, now offering the seat next to hers to Opeila. Usually she would let Opeila get back to her business, but considering what almost happened Breana felt that it would be nice to offer her some table space. "So are you studying for something, Opeila? I can only deduce, since you're in the library and all..."

The Ravenclaw girl said that she was worried that she had ruined the books. Opeila tilted her head a little. "I'd tell you that this is definitely not the case but I'm afraid that would be a lie... Don't worry though, there surely is a spell to fix it." She smiled at the little girl again.

Breana said that it was a good thing there were no prefects around since they would get both of them in trouble. Opeila held up a finger. "Not exactly. They would get you in trouble. I can't be held responsible for the spells you cast in the library.", she corrected, still smiling. But it was true, Opeila would not get herself in trouble to help the little Ravenclaw out.

The Ravenclaw didn't seem to think of trying to read all the books on one day as a bad thing, surprising Opeila deeply. But then- Ravenclaw, right? What did she expect?
It didn't surprise her anymore when Breana told her about stacking books being a bad habit of her.
The Slytherin could almost see the little girl getting lost between high biles of books in her room. She chuckled. "You're one of those bookworm Ravenclaws?", she asked. "Can't say that I have met a lot of those yet...
And no, I am not studying, actually I am just looking through books I have no idea about."
, she said grinning. "That is quite interesting sometimes."

Sorry for the wait ;w; accidentally swamped myself in RPs lmao

"Oh! Yes! That's called paper... err, paper something...." She squinted her eyes shut as if Breana is going through the inside her memory bank. After a second or two she held up her finger as she had a mini-eureka moment. "Papyrus! Papyrus Reparo." She smiled to herself, proud of her little memory quip. Breana frowned, however, as she looked down at her wand. "Err... " She sheepishly scratched the back of her head. "I don't know how to do that spell properly, though... Hopefully, the Assistant Librarian will use it...?" She said.

She laughed a bit at Opeila's correction. "Hey!! .... That's true, but still!" Breana chuckled. She shook her head and looked back at her newfound acquaintance. "But you never know, y'know? I mean, some prefects might be hard-hitting and stuff... Never seen one discipline a student yet, though..."

Her face beamed as she called her a bookworm Ravenclaw. "I guess you can call me that, yeah!" She nodded. "I even gots my muggle books in my dorm. Though, er... I haven't finished reading all of them yet too, heh..." She smiled wryly. "Oh!" She popped up to Opeila. "I dunno if you're a pureblood or not, but if you want, I can give you some of the books I brought." She shrugged. "Just gotta give 'em back to me, though. "
