The library was silent. Of course it was, it's the library! However, it was an eery kind of silence. The kind of silence that made people uncomfortable, like Kira Callaghan.

Kira was sat on a desk at the castle library, an open book and an empty homework sheet laid out before her. She had come here to do her homework, as she found it hard to do in her dorm room due to her rowdy roommates. Upon coming here, she had found the library to be near empty, with only a very few number students here. That was at least an hour ago, and yet Kira still stared at her empty Herbology homework sheet. How could she not get this? Perhaps the empty silence unnerved her a little too much. Yes, she didn't enjoy loud noises, however she didn't particularly enjoy empty silences either.

She looked around the large table she was sat at. It was only her and another student, a Ravenclaw, sat at the large desk. The other girl sat a few seats away from Kira, and she remembered seeing the girl a few times before, however never having actually talked to her. She didn't feel like starting now, though.

Boredom taking over, Kira began loudly tapping the non inked tip of her quill against the wooden table. She tapped it to a song stuck in her head, the lyrics playing in her mind  and the quill being the drums.

Eri had come to the library seeking only peace and quiet for her to do homework. She decided to go to the library, cause her common room was crowded.

She sat at a table working on her charms homework. She geard the other girl drumming on the table and it started getting quite annoying. Eri tried to ignore it, but she failed and looked up. "Exuse me. Will you stop. That is getting annoying," she said her voice slightly annoyed. She looked back down at her book writing down an answer on her peice of parchment. She started to calm down and be slightly less annoyed.

She started thinking about the problems on her homework page. It was so hard to think with distractions so she just stared at the book. She hoped the girl would stop so she could continue on her homework with no distractions. Every little noise could disrupt her.

She sighed and just stared at her book distracted. She didn't no why she wad distracted but it was probably the noise the other girl was making. She looked up and stared at the bookshelf trying to focus on the homework set in front of her on the table.

Why couldn't Kira get this? She just wasn't thinking right today. She let out a small sigh, exasperated at her lack of focus. Maybe it's because of her lack of sleep lately? Probably. A near voice then snapped Kira out of her wandering thoughts, and she looked up to see the Ravenclaw looking up at her.
"Excuse me. Will you stop? That is getting annoying," The girl seated a few seats away from Kira stated, obviously irritated by Kira's amazing drumming skills. A chuckle escapes her lips, and Kira slowed down the drumming of her quill, however not completely stopping. "Sorry. It helps me think."

Kira looked at the girl, noticing that she too was having trouble focusing on her homework. She looked down on her own, scrunching her brows together in thought. She was meant to write a definition for Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures' categories of magical creatures and for the X scale to scale creatures. However, Kira had completely no idea what it was. She racked her brain for anything relating to it, but came up with nothing. Absolutely nothing. What would her mother say if she saw her now, having a hard time with her homework? Kira shook her head, ignoring the thought and continued tapping her quill.

Eri looked at the girl annoyed. "I asked you to stop not slow it down making it more annoying." She was getting ready to fire a spell or throw something at the other girl. "Sorry I snapped, but you were getting on my nerves." She looked back down at her homework. She did another answer and stopped and continued to stare at her homework. She stared blankly at her book and gripped her quill hardly. Would this girl please stop her annoying tapping. It was greatly getting on her nerves.

She was so close to snapping at the girl. She was bright red in the face from anger. She was about to throw her book at the girl. It took everything in her to keep her composer. She really wanted to make the girl be quiet but she wouldn't. She siged in annoyance and kept staring at her homework. She really just wanted to get this done quickly. She closed her book and stared at the other girl in frustration. She was so annoyed and wanted to finish her homework. Closing her eyes she took a deep breath and calmed down. When she was calm she reopened her eyes and looked at the closed book.
