Creature discovery OPEN

Ariana turned the corner and walked through the doors to the library. The librarian looked up and gave a small smile, which Ariana returned, before the librarian turned back to her work. Her homework was due tomorrow and she needed to go and find a book to help her, so while her friends enjoyed resting and being outside, she had no other choice but to go and do her homework in the library. Sighing to herself, she strolled through the tables, desperately trying to find a free spot to sit at, but all the tables were full, mostly of the older years studying for exams. She walked around to the back, and stood on her tiptoes, craning her neck to try and look for a table. Right at the back she spotted one, it wasn't completely free, but it had enough seats.
She sat down at the table and the occupant, who was nearly hidden behind a stack of books, didn't seem to notice her. She raised her head a bit and saw that it was a ravenclaw first year boy who sat at the table, reading a book about… (Ariana tilted her head to the side in order to get a better look)

“Every single magical creature from A-Z?” she accidentally said out loud.

She clapped her hands to her mouth in her embarrassment and shifted uncomfortably to get her books out of her bag as the ravenclaw boy lifted his head and looked up at her.

After colt was done with the poisonous duck page he turned the page to find the page of dragons. the page read:
A dragon is a large, serpentine legendary creature that appears in the folklore of many cultures around the world. Beliefs about dragons vary drastically by region, but dragons in western cultures since the High Middle Ages have often been depicted as winged, horned, four-legged, and capable of breathing fire. Dragons in eastern cultures are usually depicted as wingless, four-legged, serpentine creatures with above-average intelligence. (- Wikipedia) it also read that they were very far relatives of the snake. In the middle of reading this, he heard the door open, he lifted his head and the opener was a Gryffindor girl. Then he continued to read his book. After awhile “Every single magical creature from A-Z?”. He looked up and saw the same girl standing at the table "Huh..." Then he realized he was reading that book.  (He forgot the name of his book he was so into it) When he looked back at her she looked embarrassed with her hands clapped over her mouth, Then she sat in the chair opposite from the side he was on and reached for her bag. "Yup, that's the book I'm reading". This all became really awkward for him. After all that he turned back to his book".

Pipere didn't really like books, she only read them for school and not for anything else. She found reading 'for fun' actually quite boring. Maybe it's because she got restless often but the point was that Pipere hadn't come to the library for some light reading, but for research.

Ever since she had gotten help from a friend with her herbology homework Pipere had grown interest in potions and potion ingredients. It was something about the experimental side of brewery that intrigued her and she wanted to learn as much as she could about the subject. Perhaps she could become Professor of Potions after she finished her years! That sounded exciting but Pipere knew that it was a lot of work so she definitely wanted to start studying now, since she was just a first year.

She made her way through the library, wearing an ugly Christmas sweater—even though it was past the season—and a jeans skirt over leggings and boots. Pipere had her golden hair in a high ponytail to the side, nearly combed to perfection. She pursed her lips as her blue eyes scanned the room, wondering which part of the library she should go to first.

While some potion ingredients came from plants, others came from creatures, magic and non-magic alike. She had to choose between looking in the herbology section and looking in the magical creatures section, and they were both equally exciting to her. Pipere already had a list of book titles to take a look at in her notebook but there were a lot to choose from.

Pipere decided, finally, to go to the creature section. She glanced at each sign hovering near the aisles so she could know where to go and finally found the magic creatures' shelves. She was just turning into the little aisle when she noticed a pair of students talking. She offered a courteous smile and then started browsing the book titles. There were so many to choose from, like books about taming krakens, the anatomy of centaurs, and different types of hippogriff nests. Pipere could only take so many so she had to choose wisely.

Her eyes wandered over to the two students and noticed that the boy held a book that would be very useful. She glanced at the shelves and didn't see anymore copies of the book he had. She looked back at him, this time with a malicious glint in her eyes.

“Hey, can I see that? I think it might be one of the books I'm looking for...?”

Minutes and minutes passed as the two students sat at the table, the ravenclaw boy was so engrossed and concentrated on his book, but Ariana could help feeling quite restless as she struggled to write her essay for charms. She frustratingly tossed her long brown hair to the side and narrowed her green eyes in concentration as she struggled to take in the information she was reading. She wasn’t very good when it came to having to sit still and learn and was often restless and impatient, so this really was a challenge for her, being in a small, quiet library. She yanked her essay towards her and sorted an ‘i’ so ferociously, that it made a hole through the parchment. Glancing over at the ravenclaw boy, she wondered if he could help her, he did look quite smart,she thought, but then again he might not like being interrupted. She wrote a sentence then crossed it out, then tried to start again, but she just couldn't get her brain to work properly. After several scrunched up bits of parchment and a stressed Ariana cursing under her breath, she leant back in her chair and closed her eyes in defeat. She really did need help. Slowly she opened her eyes and hesitantly tapped the ravenclaw boy on the shoulder.
"Uhhh hey my names Ariana, ummm im having a bit of trouble with my charms homework,” She paused, gesturing to the scrunched up balls of parchment that were now littering the once-clear table "you don't suppose you could help me please,” she added uncertainly.

Out of the corner of his eye, he could see the Gryffindor girl was getting severely restless, he didn't know if this was causing anxiety for anyone else but it was for him. She muttered under her breath to herself taking notes pausing to look around. She had green eyes and brown hair, he noticed and he glanced up from his book to see her with her hands over her eyes, in obvious defeat. Now he was wondering if she was just trying to get his attention. she probably is he thought to himself.  After a while, it continued so he started to wonder if she needed help. He turned back to his book and was just about to turn the page when he felt a soft tap on his shoulder. He looked up to see the Gryffindor girl staring at me with her sparkling eyes, worry was hinted in her expression as she asked him quite hesitantly, "Uhhh hey my names Ariana, Ummm I'm having a bit of trouble with my charms homework,” She pointed to all of the scrunched up pieces of parchment "you don't suppose you could help me please,” she also said with some uncertainty.  He paused before answering "Sure... I'll try, though I'm not really good either. Also, I'm Colt, Colt griffin" he said putting his scarf on the chair he was sitting on. "So, what do you need help with? ,"

Grace was walking in the corridor, her dirty blonde hair up in a high, long ponytail. Grace entered the library, her favorite place in the school. She waved to the librarian and went to get “Quidditch Through the Ages” she opened it and didn’t notice she sat at a table with other people, she was a shy girl who didn’t really like talking at times “Achoo!” she sneezed. Grace finally looked up as she went to get a tissue from her sack, she saw two girls and a boy and her hair slightly turned pink but back to dirty blonde in a second. “I’m sorry, I didn’t know you were sitting here!” she said, her voice a bit shrill. Grace wiped her small nose with a tissue and looked at the kids, awkward. “Oh, you need help with charms homework?” she asked, looking at the Gryffindor girl who said she needed help. But then the Ravenclaw boy said he need help, Grace just smiled and her hair turned ombré bubblegum pink and her eyes turned pink too. Grace’s cheeks were also a bit pink, but her hair turned to the normal blonde and her eyes turned the normal blue. Grace chewed on her nail, a bad habit she had. Grace wished she was invisible, even though she was quite short already.
