Elizabeth searched through the shelves, looking for a book to read. at the Muggle school she had gone to before, they rarely had textbooks on the shelves, and now, it seemed as though majority of these many books were only textbooks. of course, they were all interesting, but she had been wondering if they had any adventure books that weren't real stories.
  nothing.
i suppose these books are all sot of what i'm looking for... she admitted, pulling down a books that was larger than any book she had ever seen in her Muggle school. the book was entitled The Relationship between Muggles and Wizards.
"i wonder how they ever had enough to say to fit it all in such a large book," she muttered to herself as she put it back. she moved down the bookshelves, her eyes glued to the titles. spells for beginners, 1000 Mythical Creatures... she was so intent on finding the right book, that she didn't even notice that she had wondered into the Restricted Section. when she did, she was half-way to the other side already.
uh-oh. she thought, looking around to make sure she wouldn't get in trouble. she had heard stories about yelling books on these shelves, and she was lucky she hadn't picked any out yet.
  footsteps.
Elizabeth looked around. no one yet, but she could tell they weren't far off. she had to hide. she took refuge behind a chair that was in a corner, and watched as two boys passed chatting away, not knowing of her presence. when they were for sure gone, Elizabeth came out of her hiding place, and ran back in the direction she had came from. she was about to leave the restricted section, when she noticed two Ravenclaw girls searching through the books. Elizabeth knew them. she did not have a good relationship with them, and she was almost sure that when one of them would notice her come out, they would tell someone, causing Slytherin to lose some house points.

Opeila had decided to stop wearing herself out with problems she wasn't able to solve, so she had gone to the library to put back all he potions books she had borrowed. They were quite many, so it took her some time to sort them back into the shelves. She didn't mind it. Having her hands busy she could let her mind wander, enjoy the silence and the smell of the library. She had always liked this place. It helped her to get a little distance between her and her worries, what was good. She was thinking about them far too much.

This time something destroyed the silence that was so valued by her. She looked at two Ravenclaw girls who stood next to a bookshelf, near the entranceto the resticted section, chatting to each other in a tone that Opeila found extremely annoying and inappropriate for this place. Sighing she wanted to turn away, when she saw something. Through the glass of the door, she could see a girl, another Slytherin who was clearly hiding. She was looking at the Ravenclaw girls, also seeming annoyed. Opeila thought for a second. Well, why not help a housemate in need?
She waited until she could catch eye contact with the other Slytherin before she slowly walked towards the Ravenclaws.
"I'm sorry, I just heard you mention that book and how good it was. I have read in year three primary school as well! I personally just found the plot a little immature." She pointed at a book they had only just been talking about. She could see, how her words were scratching on their Ravenclaw pride, just enough to have them focus on Opeila so the other girl could get out of the restricted section without being noticed.

Elizabeth watched as the other Slytherin approached the two girls. "I'm sorry, I just heard you mention that book and how good it was. I have read in year three primary school as well! I personally just found the plot a little immature." she said, pointing to a certain book that Elizabeth couldn't quite see.
one of the girls stared at her in disgust. "nobody asked you!" she snapped.
Elizabeth didn't have time to listen. "thank you," she whispered, before beginning to slip out of the Restricted Section, when she heard one of the girls say, "all you Slytherins think your so perfect. well, if you are, i'm surprised your marks aren't any higher!"
Elizabeth froze. if that girl that helped her were to stay there any longer, she may get into a fight like Elizabeth did. this is wrong; I've gotta turn back! she thought before turning around and going to the shelves beside them. when she reached the end of those shelves, she turned the corner, and stood a few steps away from the three bickering girls.
she took a deep breath before stepping forward. "what's going on?" she said, pretending not to know what was happening. "Amy? why do you always seem to pick fights with Slytherin first years? can't you leave us alone?" she said.
Amy looked at her. "go away, Elizabeth." she growled. "no one asked you."

Opeila looked at the girl, that just accused her of thinking that she was perfect, a little amused. "Me? Perfect? Oh, I wouldn't even dare to think that. Why do you Ravenclaws just always feel personally attacked? I was just saying that I read that book too. That was an attempt to join a civilized conversation about literature. I guess, that is off the table now..." She looked at the books again. "And if you had asked me I would have been highly surprised because that would mean that you have seen me over there, so you must have eyes in the back of your head!"

Then the Slytherin girl, she only just had helped, appeared next to her, asking one of the Ravenclaws, a girl called Amy, why she always had to pick on first years. Opeila was surprised about the Ravenclaws. They seemed to be even more pathetic than she had thought. Before she had met a member of the house, she would have imagined them as far too mature to start silly fights with others, but they literally seemed to jump at every sarcastic comment.
After the second 'No one asked you', Opeila sighed. "You don't get it, do you?" The Slytherin shook her head.
