So what if we're Pureblood? PV Griffin White Cl

The blonde tucked herself away into one of the corners of the library but for once, she hadn't gone there to study. There were no textbooks or parchment spread across a table nor were there stacks of books for her to research. Instead Dymphna had decided to catch up on some reading outside of their structured curriculum. Of course, it was still educational as she had been preparing for Quidditch tryouts. Quidditch Through The Ages by Kennilworthy Whisp was turning out to be a magnificent read. Who knew that the sport was not only dangerous but fascinating? Dangerous it may be but she wanted to step out of her comfort zone, as many of her friends seemed to be doing as well.

Flipping the page, Dymphna glanced up at the doorway at the group entering. No one was familiar except for her fellow Ravenclaw. She scoffed when she saw him, remembering the time that their families had met to discuss... something. It was all a bit of a blur now, something she didn't remember but whatever it was had left her family livid. They hadn't spoken since, that she knew of, so it must have been something dreadful. Her features softened a bit as she thought about it. Just because her parents didn't like his didn't mean they couldn't try to be friends, right? She liked to believe that everyone had something good about them and she didn't want to judge him based on his family. It wouldn't be fair if others judged her based off of being a pureblood or a Ravenclaw, would it?

Trying to push her prejudice aside, she stood and tried to wave the boy over. If he didn't notice her then she would have to come up with another plan, maybe play it cool and act like she had been stretching all along. Then again, what if he remembered the incident too and didn't want to try to become friends? Well, that would be just fine. It was worth a try. "Griffin," she tried in the loudest voice that she dared, glancing around for the librarian in case he came out of the shadows to lecture her.

Merlin's beard am I knackered Griffin thought to himself as he walked down the familiar route that lead to the vast expanse that housed a plethora of dusty tomes, or the library as the everyone else called it.

Maybe I'm practicing a bit too much, he thought to himself as he wound his right arm around in a futile attempt to loosen the knot that had found its way into the depths of his shoulder. The lad had set his eyes on becoming a darn good chaser, he knew he was good, it was simply a matter of proving it to everyone else.

His mind meandering on this thought, he'd find himself entangled in group of his peers, Hufflepuffs and Griffindors. He was to tired to walk faster than they were, and he was not in the mood for dawdling behind them. Resigning himself to be subjected to their pointless prattling. Griffin would be pleasantly surprised when the they started talking a little softer, so soft in fact that he had to strain his hearing to pick up a few scraps of words here and there.

Ah, so they knew who he was, good. The group eventually dropped off a bit behind him, almost as if allowing his space. Finally stepping into the library, Griffin would find himself stumped as to what exactly he was looking for. As he often did in these situations, he'd turn his attention inward, barely noticing that vague side to side motion somewhere in his peripheral vision.

He'd not notice the girl until she stated his name, breaking his reprieve to bring his striking gaze up to lock onto Dymphna with a look of absolute annoyance. He hated people interrupted his thoughts, and it did not help that the person who did such was one of the people he disliked.

His gaze hardening, as he stepped towards her, Griffin would remember his mother's words about not showing people just how much you disliked them, he'd soften his features but his eyes still held a faint trace of venom.  "It's...Dymphna right?" he'd pretend to ask, he knew exactly who she was, he just wanted to get some sort of one upmanship on her.

Will we die just a little?
