It was not unusual to find Alexx in a library. No, she came here quite often in fact. And for her to be perched up in a chair, comfortably reading a comic, was also typical of the blonde girl. She could always count on her older brothers to send her comics as school came to a start again. She flipped a page, pushing some of her silky locks from her eyes.

What was truly unusual about this event, however, was that Alexx had recently announced herself as seemingly controversial amongst her peers. As everyone was shouting about who was on Ben's side and who wasn't, Alexx finally had the decency to pick a side. Though the French girl thought the whole thing was stupid, she wasn't about to not speak her opinions.

But she felt as if she were but a whisper amongst the many, so she was hoping that no one would harass her for her opinions, at least not yet. She was busy, you see, reading her comic. But the blonde girl softly chuckled to herself, knowing very well that she was in no position to be making such wishes, at least not now, anyway. She had gone this far.

However, the library remained silent, much as she hoped it would. She couldn't get any peace and quiet with the entire school buzzing, but the library was guaranteed the soft voices, as it's regular visitors were occupied with more important things such as school work or reading. Though she may not have been the most studious, Alexx was at the very least an average student, and could obey the rules pretty well.

Not many knew of the Slytherin, which felt typical, as she never made a habit of going out of her way to be seen. No, Alexx was a silent lass, seeing no need in the fuss of having a large group of friends. She was rather content with her life staying how it was, though who was she to deny company? Her days at Hogwarts weren't lonely, but seldom did she ask others how their days were or engage in any conversation. No, she kept to herself indeed. And the twelve-year-old was rather content that way, thank you very much.

It was a good morning because she was caught up on the vast majority of her school work, no longer feeling the anxious pit in her stomach swirling as she remembered that she had forgotten. No, not this time. The young girl was quite prepared; quite prepared indeed. So she could relax for now, which made her very happy.

Usually Miranda avoided libraries like the plague, unless one of the first books she could see had to do with calculations. Math was her forte and she found it very calming to read through books concerning with artitmetics and figuring out things through complex reasoning. She liked to get her gears working and for some reason she found herself doing that less after coming to Hogwarts.

Today she decided to come to the library because someone had mentioned a decent book by a wizard named Brian Cerebellum, one of her favorite authors, that had just arrived at the school. It was called The Celebration of the Cellebrum of Brian Cellebrum and wanting to be the first to read before any of the smarty-pants Ravenclaws, Miranda had nearly sprinted through the hallways early in the morning to get to the library.

Now she was standing in line waiting to check out her book, gazing around at the other students. Most people were either studying, relaxing, or chatting, normal things. There was a sense of calm over everyone that she noticed ever since the person behind the Mask was exposed. But it was as if he were still about, with some people tense and suspicious about the future behavior of the boy behind it all. She'd even heard rumors of a rivaling groups who either supported Ben or were against him. Miranda herself didn't really care; he hadn't bothered her or anyone she really cared about, so for the moment he was alright. But she knew that people could change at any minute, so she couldn't blame others for being wary of him.

When she finished checking out her book, Miranda went to go sit down and read. She didn't feel like walking all the way back to the common room so she was going to relax for a while, maybe eavesdrop on people. She noticed that one girl was reading a comic book. She frowned at her, since her own father had always looked down on such books since he thought that they were too distracting on the road to success. But after gazing at the interesting cover, Miranda sat in a seat closer to the girl and asked, "What is your comic book about?"

Morgan walked slowly into the library, she looked around the room with amazement, it was the first time in her life she had seen so many books in one place.  She smiled at the librarian before walking to one of the shelves running her hand across the binds of the books. Each of them having their own different texture. Morgan read the titles of the books, some she had recognized from the muggle world, others she was excited to delve into.

The atmosphere reminded Morgan of home. She took a book off the shelf, The Missing Ones by Patricia Gibney, it read. Morgan read the description, it seemed interesting enough. She strolled over to the closest table and pulled out a cold, wooden chair, sitting down and opening the book to its first page.

Mystery, was one of Morgan's favorite genres, the thrill of finding out the who, what, when, where, and why. She quickly became immersed in the novel, losing track of the time as she read. Completely forgetting that one of her reasons for coming here was to possibly make friends.

Glancing around the library she saw two girls in a section of the library, one girl with pretty blonde hair reading a comic, while the other girl, seemed to be starting a conversation. Morgan sighed, thinking to herself, I wish I could be that confident, to go up to someone and start a conversation. She shrugged, focusing her attention back to her book.

I came, I saw, I made it awkward...
