First Day Jitters
Ava was trying to find a book - one specific book in an enormous library. ENORMOUS, mind you. She liked being here - the place, even if it was filled with students at times, was really peaceful and quiet. It wasn't the best place though - she loved talking and often couldn't shut her mouth up. But here she had to - if she didn't, the librarian would probably kick her out.
She was looking for the one specific book she needed which was Hogwarts, A History - a pretty common book for students to borrow, and that was why she expected the library to have more than one copy of it. But that, unfortunately, was not the case here - the girl asked other people and even the librarian where to find them a thousand times or even if there is one - everybody told her to go here and that there should be one here. She sighed, looking around, trying to see which way to go to the exit and the librarian - maybe she could ask her to help.
The girl got up, sighing again, and walked towards where she thought was the exit. Well, she was wrong - she got even more lost than she was already. She was wandering through the library for a while, before hearing a loud noise.
Ava quickly ran towards it to see another Hogwarts student, laying down on the ground. She was definitely in pain and was covered in some white substance. It was cold. "Enchanted snowballs, eh?" she asked no one in particular. "Are you okay?" she asked the girl whilst still looking around, trying to see anyone who would throw the enchanted snowballs at the other student, who as she concluded, was a Gryffindor.

First Day Jitters
Annabelle stared with wide eyes at the massive rows of books. There seemed to be a pattern to her reactions as she walked into new rooms around this place. This was bound to change eventually, but for now every magical object still filled her with wonder. This library was of course no exception. There were massive tomes and tiny pamphlets, all with strange properties that left her in awe. There were talking books, invisible books, books with moving pictures on their covers... the whole scene left the usually-talkative girl entirely speechless. She shook her head and blinked repeatedly, struggling to regain her composure. She was here on a mission, after all.
Should I call out? she wondered as she paced the many rows in search of the librarian's desk. That probably wasn't the best of ideas. The last thing Annabelle wanted was to get into trouble on her very first day. I've already made enough dumb mistakes as it it. The nerve-wracked student looked down at the heavy tome in her arms. The title was illegible from this angle, but she knew exactly what it said. She had spent hours staring at her textbooks, and indeed at all of the supplies she had picked up on her trip to Diagon Alley. To a Muggle-Born such as Anna, even these simple objects were fascinating. This particular book, she knew without looking, was called Hogwarts, A History.
It had also stood out among her many supplies, as it was the only thing she had accidentally bought multiples of. To be fair, she was eleven, and shopping on her own was not the easiest task. Sure she had gone shopping for clothes or toys back home, but Diagon Alley had been on a whole new level. Still, she figured that perhaps this was a blessing in disguise. She'd donate it to the library, and hopefully get a head start in getting to know the staff. That is, if she could find the Librarian's desk.
Anna walked by a few more rows, still utterly lost. She considered yelling out for someone again, but was distracted by the sight of a section of books roped off from the rest. Above them was a sign, painted in ominous writing. RESTRICTED SECTION: DO NOT CROSS. ALARM WILL SOUND. The sign looked relatively new. Perhaps someone had tried to sneak in to the Restricted Section before? Regardless, Anna wasn't about to let her curiosity get the best of her. She wasn't going to get in trouble. Not today.
She was about to continue her search when a massive snowball suddenly bludgeoned her in the chest. Her arms flailed as she fell to the ground, narrowly missing the Restricted Section and its alarm. Had she not been standing there, the object would have certainly hit the forbidden books. Anna did not realize this of course, as she was too busy crashing into the opposite bookshelf. So much for not making noise.
A moment later, another student rounded the corner. The student wore first-year robes, like Anna, but her uniform showed that she was a Slytherin. Anna looked up at her, still dazed and confused. Was this the girl who had thrown that snowball? Nobody else seemed close enough. Not to mention she has heard quite a few bad rumors about that house. Still, the concerned look on the Slytherin's face told her that this was unlikely to be the case. Besides, Anna new better than most that rumors rarely had much truth to them.
The girl looked far too old to be a first-year. Her features were well-defined and beautiful. She had wavy blonde hair and piercing eyes, as well as a sense of nobility about her that Anna couldn't quite place. For some reason, she found herself embarrassed to be seen in such a state of disarray by this girl. That was for a whole two seconds until she spotted that the girl had a cat with her. The site of the adorable creature immediately sent her into fangirl mode.
"Enchanted snowballs, eh?" the girl asked. Obviously she was not the culprit. "Are you okay?"
"I-I'm alright!" Anna responded after a moment, looking around for the source of the projectile. There was nobody else in sight. "Thanks! Uh... I love your cat. She's adorable!"

First Day Jitters
Emma sat in the library chairs, but it this time, it was quite an odd scene. She sat in the back, away from everyone, but she had a clear shot of the Restricted Section. Instead of reading snuck peeks at its gates every minute or so, or when she heard footsteps (which were often). She had left a note on one of her friend's bed, telling her to meet in the library, near the Restricted Section so that she could 'show her something'. What was there to show in there? She knew that if this situation were real, it would have descended quickly.
She had automatically sent them to hit anyone that touched the restricted section, maybe it was a good detecting device for the librarian. She wouldn't tell, ever.
The Ravenclaw doubted that she would actually come, but miraculously she heard clicking near the restricted. But, a thought hit her, harder than she had expected. The victim that was supposed to be her friend wasn't there. Oh, snap... She thought to herself before walking over to the new, unplanned victim.
Emma walked over, with a look of hysterical-ness and shame. She did fill sorry for what she did, but it was a bit funny seeing her get pelted with the enchanted snow. "I am so sorry! T-that wasn't for you..." Even as she talked, she found it a bit hard to talk to complete strangers, it was even worst that one of them was knocked to her feet by snowballs. She brushed off a bit of snow off her robes in hopes that it would make her look better. Umm... Where do I even start? Emma thought to herself as she straightened up. "Well... Are you okay?"

First Day Jitters
OOC: This is going to be really, really bad. Sorry.
"I-I'm alright!" the girl replied. Ava smiled at her, still worried if she was completely okay. "Thanks! Uh... I love your cat. She's adorable!" the girl was also a first-year like Ava was, but from what the Silver concluded she was a Gryffindor. At least that was what anyone would tell from her robes. "Thank you, random library girl, but HE is adorable. And a kitten," she replied, whilst getting up and trying to look for the person that would throw the snowball at the other student. "Perhaps an older student?" the girl asked no one in particular.
Ava heard someone walking up to the two. "I am so sorry! T-that wasn't for you..." the newcomer said. The girl examined her. A first-year Ravenclaw. The Slytherin rolled her eyes. "Why would you put another student's health at risk for no apparent reason?" she asked the girl, looking at her again. She was obviously mad - even if the girl laying down on the floor covered in enchanted snow was a Gryffindor and Ava heard some really bad things about the house, she was still feeling sorry for her; it just wasn't fair to throw massive snowballs at others.
Awkward silence.
"So... what's your name, random-girl-that-likes-throwing-enchanted-snowballs-at-people?"

First Day Jitters
Emma crossed her arms as voices emitted from the Slytherin and not the one that had just received the blow by her. "Why would you put another student's health at risk for no apparent reason?" She had never heard anything about the feuds between Eagles and Serpents. She sat there, just looking at her with a look of annoyance, biting back words that didn't want to leave her mouth. Still, she couldn't help but fell the urge of guiltiness tugging at her sleeves. She waited for her to speak, her foot tapping against the library floor.
"So... what's your name, random-girl-that-likes-throwing-enchanted-snowballs-at-people?" Emma laughed, though her mouth didn't open, as she rolled sea-green eyes. The shyness had left her as if she were a new person, it was so hard trying to apologize if the two were so stuck up. "Funny, but look. I didn't do that on purpose." She said sternly, clapping loudly at the last two words' syllables. She could have cared less about the librarian. "If you aren't going to believe me, that's your problem, not mine." Her hand was gripped tightly on her wand, though it wasn't to use spells. She wanted to use it as a pencil and snap it into two, but the innocent side of her told her that there would be no replacing of her wand.

First Day Jitters
Annabelle struggled to her feet, still a bit dazed. "Sorry... He's adorable..." She was a bit out of it, but she could tell that the others were fighting. Anna looked from face to face, utterly confused. She has been busy listening to the Slytherin girl and admiring her cat only a moment before, and had completely missed what the new arrival had said. It must not have been very nice though, as the two other students were locked in a furious staring match.
"Why would you put another student's health at risk for no apparent reason?" the cat owner inquired. The nickname was probably going too far, but since Catwoman there had just called her "random library girl", Annabelle figured that was just how she talked. The first part seemed like a reasonable question... Wait, had that girl done this on purpose? Anna hadn't head what she said, but why would anyone do that? Her jaw dropped as she was overcome with indignation. What did this new girl have against her? She didn't even know her.
Indeed, Annabelle did not recognize the new arrival. She had long blonde hair, much like the Slytherin, but this girl's looked a bit straighter. Her emerald green eyes were full of fire, and her soft features were locked in a snarl. Overall, she looked as though she wanted to break something. The girl mentioned something about the attack being meant for someone else, but that didn't make it much better in Annabelle's eyes. This girl still intended to hurt someone. More concerning was the fact that she had a hand on her wand.
"Whoa!" Anna stumbled back, looking at the girl's wand with terror in her expression. The Muggle-born student didn't know any spells yet. There was no way she could defend herself. "D-don't hurt us! We don't want any trouble." She giggled nervously, a terrible habit that she had yet to be able to shake. Hopefully the attacker didn't think that Anna was making fun of her.

First Day Jitters
Emma looked at the Gryffindor curiously before looking down at her own hand. She hadn't really noticed that she had grabbed her wand, her hand wrapping around the whole thing and her nails punching her own skin. She immediately slid the wand back into her pocket and sighed, but some side of her still smirked slightly. She tried visualizing the appearance of her friend when she had gotten hit with snowballs.
"Whoa!" Emma also stepped back a bit as she watched the girl stumble back a little. She held her hands out as if she were calming a rowdy lion, maybe even a hippogriff.
"I don't want you hurt you... really! Well..." The Ravenclaw paused collecting her thoughts in an innocent way. "Just think of it as... returning the blow in a 'prank war'." She drew quotation marks with her fingers and looked at her palm, red marks stood in the place where her nails had just recently been, the Ravenclaw considered herself slightly crazy. She didn't blame the girl that had just stumbled back, away from her. Was this stick of wood enough to make someone afraid of you, and if so, was that the message she had been sending?
She didn't care too much about the eye contact of the Slytherin, though Emma knew she was only being helpful. In fact, she tried her best to ignore the gaze of the girl. This was not going to be a good day if she got into a verbal argument with her.

First Day Jitters
"Prank... war..." Anna spoke slowly, lowering her defenses. So this young witch hadn't intended to hurt anyone. As the girl's expression softened, Annabelle thought that she actually looked rather pleasant. The nervous Gryffindor dropped her arms to her sides, smiling at the prankster a bit sheepishly. "Uh... sorry. I'm really new to all of this"
Annabelle's first day had indeed been full of surprises, but the snowball to the chest had definitely made the top of the list. As fascinating as the magic of the wizarding world had turned out to be, nothing had, well... hit her quite as hard. She stared down at her now-soaked black robes. Good thing they had us buy three of these. As her eyes darted between the two other girls in the room, she couldn't help but wonder what other crazy stunts the students at this place got up to. Whatever they were, she wanted to be involved. Of course, she'd probably end up dirtying a few more robes.
"That sounds... interesting. Like, cool but dangerous." Anna looked curiously at the others. The Slytherin seemed like a bit of a no-nonsense kind of girl. At the very least, she didn't seem to appreciate the Ravenclaw's goofing off. Of course, that was perfectly understandable. Someone could have gotten hurt. Then again, it was pretty funny. Annabelle moved between the two girls, struggling to find a middle ground.
"Ah... sorry for the misunderstanding. I'm a... what do you call it? Muggle? Well, I guess that's not quite right since I have magic, but my parents don't. I don't really know much about it and you looked really angry... Anyway, sorry. Oh yeah! I'm alright, thanks!" She suddenly remembered the girl asking if she was okay. Annabelle continued to laugh a bit nervously, unsure if she was adding or taking away tension from the situation. "I-I'm Annabelle!
