A Study Session Alone Or is It?
Charles walked into the library and walked over to the closet bookshelf. He looked at the bookshelf's contents and walked away. He needed to find some books to help him with charms. He looked at bookshelf to bookshelf hoping he could find what he was looking for.
Where are they... I have never been annoyed with giant library's until now. The one thing I am looking for is so hidden in this magnificent library. Filled with books to help me reach my goal. But I can't even find what I am looking for. But that's just my bad luck, and I'm used to it. I just have to keep looking and at some point I will find it.
After ten minutes he was still looking. Brushing off dust of some of the books spines to read what they where about easier. But he couldn't find what he needed. Charles sighed in frustration he almost wanted to give up. He wanted to just sit down next to a bookshelf and read a book by "Rick Riordan."
But no he needed to get his grades for charms up. He did not want to fail any of his classes he wanted to pass with flying colors. Getting good grades was the only thing he was good at. And if he couldn't even do that right. Then who was he and why was he here.
Eventually he found three books on the subject he needed to find. Sure it took him about 20 minutes but he found what he was looking for. After what seemed like forever for Charles he found the thing he came here for. He regained his hope that he would pass. He then found somewhere to sit down and began reading the books.

Being a fourth year this year was rough. It was the last year to study to obtain knowledge prior to the following year where assessments are given to determine your future-- also known as O.W.L.s... Time was going by so fast that Bloom was not at all excited about it. She had to change her bad habits and the best way to do so was to give studying a go. Perhaps she would meet others that were in the studying mood and join them.
Bloom, carrying her Care of Magical Creatures and Charms book, made her way to the library. It wasn't as full as usual and for once, there were more than just Ravenclaw students in the area. It seemed to be a good mix of all houses in the library.
Rather than finding a seat, Bloom began to walk around the library. There was something so entrancing about the library. Floor to ceiling shelving with all types of books... It was as though this room was the brain of Hogwarts, filled with so much knowledge and so many memories. Walking for what seemed like forever, she decided to go to a space that did not have that many people. When she got there, she saw a young Slytherin reading on his own. He had three books with him. From afar, Bloom saw that he was reading about Charms.
Why does he need three books to learn Charms? We just have the one book..., she thought, wondering if she was doing this "studying" correctly. Maybe she was also supposed to go and look for other books that amplify the knowledge in her textbook.
She knew that he was studying and it might have been the wrong time, but Bloom needed to practice to be upfront with others. She needed to not care what others thought and just 'go with it'. Bloom walked up to the Slytherin boy who was reading in peace.
"I'm also studying Charms. We may be studying different types of spells, but can we study together?" she asked, sitting across from the second year. Maybe she could 're-learn' some spells that she never really cared for back then.

Lorelei wandered through the history section of the Hogwarts Library, searching for any books that could cover the Gargoyle Strike of 1911 outside of Bathilda Bagshots A History of Magic. She needed more details then her textbook covered. After a while, she stopped searching and grabbed a bunch of Charms books, heading over to a random table and plopping them down to work on a personal project. She pulled out a few books she'd brought from home about latin and greek, and started flipping through the various books in front of her. She dug through the list of First Year charms syllabus, trying to find a spell to use as a base, when she realized she wasn't alone at the table. She looked up at the brown haired Slytherin boy infront of her.
"Oh, hello" she said, a bit suprised "Do you mind if I work here? I won't be a bother." She scribbled a few small notes in her notebook, before looking back up realizing that he look pretty frustrated. "Do you need help?" she offered, leaning over to look at what he was working on, "I'm doing well in charms, if you need help." She motioned to the pile of Charms books in front of her. "These are for a personal project I'm working on" She noticed the older Ravenclaw also at the table. "Oh, hi."

Charles looked at the two girls and had a bit of a mental breakdown. Why are they here? Why are they talking to me? Did I do something to upset them? What am i going to do? Do I look dumb? How am I going to respond?
Eventually Charles got a grip on himself as he realised something. Why am I freaking out their probrally here just to study like me. Charles smiled at them both and closed his book. But he made sure to keep his index finger in the book so he wouldn't lose his page.
"Hello, Im Charles it's nice to meet you both." He then turned to the taller girl.
"You can study with me thats no problem. Especially since where both studying the same subject. The library is a place for anybody seeking knowledge or wishing to study to come. It is a safe heaven where you can't help but get lost in a book." He smiled again before going on.
"So who am I to keep you from studying and learning with your fellow school mates. " He then turned to look at the other girl." Its nice to know that some people don't go into the library to learn just to study for their classes. So it make me feel joy that you are studying for your own project."
He smiled at the girl. As he remembered she made an offer to help him with charms. But then the other girl also wanted to study with me how am I going to fix this... Then Charles got an idea. "How we all study together and give each other pointers if we can!" The boy smiled at them both hoping they would agree.

"Of course we can all work together. I'm Lorelei. What are you working on right now?" She asked, sorting through the pile of books next to her and pulling more out of her bag, while slipping others back in, before leaning over the see the chapter he was reading. "Incantation pronunciation? Wand movement? Or a specific spell? Where's your class at?"
She started sorting through her own notes. "Mine just started working on the Dancing Feet and Mending Charms. If you're having trouble getting spells to work, maybe learning the etymology of the spell's incantation will help. Like, most incantations come from Latin or Greek and knowing what the incantation specifically means could help with casting the spell. For instance," she glanced down to make sure she wasn't holding her wand before continuing "Take Tarentallegra. Tarantella is a dance from Italy believed to cure bites from a venomus spider, most likely black widow, though people blamed tarantulas. Allegro is a music term for a quick and lively tempo, and is likely where the allegra in Tarentallegra comes from." Lorelei found the etymology of spells fascinating, since knowing the roots and having access to Greek and Latin to English dictionaries that her parent's got her at her request made her inventing her own spells or spell modifications one day a possibility.

Was there a Ravenclaw other than herself that just did not care much for their studies? It baffled Bloom that people would do more than the necessary requirement. Why? As a Ravenclaw, she often saw her own house peers bury themselves in a book than to enjoy their time at Hogwarts. Other than the terrible circumstances that has been happening yearly, there is always something fun and new to explore and participate in at school. To come and bury her book in... What was it... Bagshot's History of Magic book... Bloom gave a small sigh.
"Hi," she said, responding to the first year Ravenclaw.
Bloom's focus went back on the Slytherin boy. He introduced himself as Charles and explained why it was okay for them to study together. Blinking a few times fast, Bloom was shocked to see a person of green speaking like someone who should be wearing blue. He seemed bright in comparison to some Slytherin's that she had met in the past. And as a fourth year, she sure had her fair share. Granted, these were 'stereotypes', but sometimes they were true. The Sorting Hat literally sorts students by means of their personality into structured stereotypes. Just like Bloom believes that the Sorting Hat messed up her house placement, maybe it messed up his, too.
"Sounds good," was all Bloom was able to muster to Charles. It wasn't until the Ravenclaw girl introduced herself as Lorelei and Bloom stared at her. She definitely was pretty and very young looking. Bloom listened to her speak about Charms as though it was a sport. She remembered learning those spells, but did not remember the incantation, how to pronounce them or what they did. She just remembered the names.
As Lorelei explained about one of the familiar spells, all Bloom could do was to nod slowly. She then looked down at her unopened book, it was thick filled with spells that she had to memorize and practice. It was definitely going to be a long day. No. A long year.
"It sounds like you really know your spells, Lorelei. What career are you striving for?" she asked, wondering what this girl's endgame was. Bloom then looked at Charles and offered the same question. "What about you?" she asked, including him in.
It seems that Charles Simmons has been deactivated. We can keep going with just us and kind of mod his character to leave if you'd like. Or leave this thread to be abandoned. Up to you.
