Friendship within Books PV Lily Gray Closed

There was no doubt about it Jay was fast, and lily thought she was fast. As a child Lily used to run threw the forest at night when everyone was asleep in the manor, so nobody could try to stop her from leaving the home. Lily still remembers that one night she had come across a group of Thestral, She never did forget them. After that unremarkable night, they had started to show up every night and somtimes she would see them at the edge of the forest.
Jay had leaded us into a huge room with millions of stairs...that could move! After a couple of flights of stairs, they had reached the library doors,they were huge. When they had entered the library there were hundreds to thousands of books shelved or flouted.
Maybe this could work, maybe Lily could have a friend. The only friends lily has ever had were the thestral, and I don’t think they counted to much as friends. Maybe while I’m here I can learn a little more about the thestral too, I wonder if Jay knows anything about them.
“Hey Jay, I was wondering if you knew anything about Thestral?” They seem to be a very knowledgeable about a lot of things. I wonder if she thinks of me like that? Either way Jay seemed perfect, I could tell we were both cut from the same cloth.

Jay tensed as Lily asked about Threstrals, it was a very dangerous topic for them. “Yes, of course I know about Threstrals,” they said, it must of sounded rude but they did not wasn’t to talk about it at all. It was a odd and amazing, and sad experience.

 Jay was only seven, not so long afternoon they arrived at the Victoria manor... They took a little walk in the gardens and then saw a a beautiful dark creature, at this time they never knew anything about magic so they had approached it in curiosity. The black creature walked away and took flight into the night. Jay had then went up to Sir Victoria and asked him what this creature was but he looked down at them with sad eyes and told them why the saw the creature in such a soft tone. It was the only time ever that he had talked to them like this. It was also the day Jay realized that they lived in a dangerous world.

“Actually, I rather not talk about threstrals. Wanna help me find the ‘Secrets of the Darkest arts’?” They asked, feeling desperate to change the topic. Jay then walked over to one of the shelves.

Opps. Lily knew it, she crossed a very dangerous line just then. Jay Obviously does not like to talk about thestrals, but I’m curious to know if They had ever seen any. Walking a step behind them, and stopping to help look for there book. They seem to like reading about dark things.
“As a child... my family didn’t really Think to highly of me, so to escape from it all, I would read. I was so desperate to find something to separate myself from this world, I would even read boring muggle book.” I wonder if she even cares, maybe. I hope she can understand how it feels to want to find your own world and stuff.

Oh so she’s not all rainbows and smiles... Jay thought, “Well... Life sucks, especially if you lived in an orphanage for six years and then got taken by some random dar— er, I mean wizard and then get scared and lonely in a big manor,” Jay said, they left out a lot of things since the other stuff was classified information that could get them into trouble. This girl said that her family didn’t think highly of her, heck, she was for sure good at hiding that by appereance. Jay then felt selfish. Unlike Lily, they brought out their anger and stress on other people, they didn’t care if they looked like the most dark, selfish, angry Griffindor. “I sure wished that I could hide myself like you, I’ve tried before and it simply doesn’t work...” They added. 

Jay looked through the section but didn’t find the book they were looking for, although they did find some interesting books that they would check out another day. Jay flipped through the pages of a herbology book with some pretty strange looking plants. Some of them had face and all sorts of things. This library probably had everything from how to fly to twenty page long instructions to tame a dragon.

Lily was at a loss of words, how could someone like Jay be envious of someone like her. Lily was a nobody, and the attention she got from people was her proof. And for hiding herself, she simply did what others asked of her and disappeared, or turned to someone Better for their liking.
Lily had never stopped to realize Jay could have it worse than she did. She only had to deal with her abusive mother and crazy father. Wait... what if someone asks me about my parents, would they?
“Is this your book Jay?” Lily had found a dark navy blue dark book, with a silver lock and a key tied onto the latch. It didn’t have a tile or any writing on the cover, but who knows it could be the book. Most books in her fathers libray were muggle books or spell books, and none of them looked like these books here.
Lily started to wonder... what Jay was trying to say before, it seems as if she meant an entirely different word. Honestly it wasn’t any of her business what Jay was going to say. Leaning her Back to the book shelf Lily closed her eyes, and took a silent breath. Maybe after this She could go find some medicine for this bloody headache.

“No... That’s not it, in the name of Salazar... Look! It’s a book about death omens,” Jay said as they read the title on it while it floated up. Before it got too high Jay managed to jump and grab it, they flipped through the pages, woah this book was probably one of those where you start to see signs of death everywhere. Jay chuckled, ha. Living in the Victoria Manor was like living in a room full of murderers. Litteraly. Each and everyday was a chance to get killed. In fact Jay almost got killed three times by three different wizards. Jay remembered their names, Evan Lucas Smith, Aurthur Ridgeway, and Tom Shawcross.   Sir Victoria has made sure they suffered.

“Never mind. It looks boring,” they said putting it back. Then they stopped to think of all the books they have ever read, “We should go to the librarian and ask about the books we’re looking for,” they suggested to Lily. Jay then quickly grabbed a book to check out and walked over to the front desk. They probably don’t have it... It’s probably too dark for the students here, maybe it’s in the restricted section of the library...

Lily opened one of her eyes to see Jay walking over to a women. Lily turned around and grabbed a light green book walked over to check it out. Lily wanted to talk to Jay more but her head was killing her, she had to find some medicine. Walking over to Jay I tapped their shoulder.
“We have to leave soon, should we head back to the commen room?” Lily did pack an extra set of pills for her headaches, But are we aloud to have our own medicine?
“Are we aloud to have medicine or food in the common room?” She didn’t really want to get in trouble, then her mother would be notified and she would have lily come back, and she didn’t want anywhere near her mother. I wonder what Jays mother is like, is she mean too?
Unwrapping her strand of blue ribbon from her wrist and twisted it in her hair and she tied it at the end. Lily was tired and she probably was going to go to bed as soon as she sat down on her bed. Lily hadn’t slept in a couple of days, she just had some nights of blankness. She would just lay on her bed and stare up at the ceiling, Lily doesn’t know why she does it but she just stares at the ceiling all night in a trance.

Jay checked out the book as Lily asked something about medicine, “I think so but you should probably check in with the nurse in the Hospital Wing, or you can just sneak it into the common room,” Jay said simply as they shoved the book in their bag they then saw their wand. It was a walnut wood with Phoenix feather as it’s core. It looked quite nice actually, it wasn’t too flashy or too simple, the handle was like a swirl, and in the middle it had a few flower-like marks. Jay felt a little bit tired but they planned to read all night and perhaps... Sneak out, if they got caught they would recieve a second detention. And Jay did not want that to happen, but their decision would really depend on their mood once they reached there. They also had homework but they could work on it and maybe even finish it on the next day. 

Today Jay was proud of themself, they made a friend who actually had some similarities with them. Bit it was clearly obvious that they were both only like, maybe, five percent similar. “Okay lets go...” And with that Jay started to exit the library with Lily, heading to the Griffindor common room.
