Goblin' It Up Errand

Paisley hurried over to the inkwell, inspired by her friends enthusiasm. She picked one up, and was surprised when it went limp in her hands, almost as if it were a damp sponge. "Do they actually work? Can you really write with these? Because if you can, then this is how all of my homework will be getting done, no question." she said firmly, and examined the tip carefully until she brought it so close to her nose her eyes crossed. They did indeed work, at least it seemed so, and she picked up another, comparing the two.

She wanted to know if the feather colors were different from each other, but before she could do anything of the sort, the second quill leapt out of her hand and etched something on her forehead that she could not see. She turned to Allie, shocked. "What does it say?" she asked. "It doesn't say I'm a thief, does it?" she felt embarrassment rising in her throat, but decided it would be best to laugh this one off, at least for now. She could save the worrying for the middle of the night, as she was trying to sleep.

She hadn't been trying to steal, and she knew it. Wasn't just she and Allie knowing that enough? Shouldn't that satisfy her? But whoever takes the spell off of you won't know. They'll think you're lying.

"Well, so much for facepaint." she laughed, although it was dull, and then picked up her chocolates from beside her. She only took four, leaving the other for someone else. It only felt right, after she had apparently tried to 'steal' before.
Errand Complete

STOP 1

Trick or Treating was one of the many things that Katrina Walker had missed since being at Hogwarts. However, the 30th was upon them and the school had hosted their own errand to let the kids a bit of fun tricks and treats! It was a bit of a disappointment that the night wasn’t on the true Halloween, but Katrina had a bit of a hunch that someone fun would happen the next day.

As soon as she heard there were costumes, Katrina had sent her Guardians an owl requesting for something, they had done so happily and sent back a beautiful costume. The main outfit was a gorgeous silky dress that landed at Katrina's knees. They had gifted her a gorgeous purple pendant to go with it too. The costume part was a set of amazing purple replica dragon wings. The outfit was spectacular and Katrina had even curled her hair for the fun of it.

Katrina beelined for the Library, her favorite indoor spot of the school. Sure enough, there was something set up. Katrina figured she was a bit late since there were more than a few students already prowling the halls in costumes. She took out her pillowcase and walked up to the table. There was a large inkwell filled with quills. Katrina smiled, she actually needed another quill.

Katrina watched as someone [NPC] attempted to grab two, and promptly had the words ‘Greedy’ written on their forehead. Eyes widening, Katrina was careful to grab one, and exactly one, a quill with a pretty teal feather and nearly dropped it. It was wiggly and soft. An uncharacteristic giggle escaped her. They had been Spongified, she placed it in her bag and grabbed five of the chocolate kisses.

As she ran away to her next destination, the Charms Classroom, one of the chocolate kisses disappeared. Into Katrina’s mouth.

STOP 1

Halloween was always an event Cade wanted to participate in. Back in Ottery St Mary, the muggle kids would always parade down the street in costume. And Cade would watch longingly from his bedroom window. His mother didn't let him take part in fear that his accidental magic would rein upon the unassuming children. Instead, the Darkbounds would remain inside and recount ghost stories and eat sweets. It wasn't bad, but they never got to dress up.

Cade was delighted that Hogwarts was taking part in the holiday. He planned to take full advantage of the night. He wondered in the hours before what on earth he could dress up as. He looked over at his bedsheets. He'd seen one of the muggle kids pull this look off, so why shouldn't he? He paused thinking tearing holes in his sheets would be destroying school property. Truthfully, he didn't care. He could always try mending them later. Yanking the sheet from his mattress he carefully tore two eye sockets out and threw it over his head. Looking in the mirror he felt ridiculous. Cade silently hoped none of the school ghosts saw him like this.

It was difficult getting to the lower levels from the top of the west tower. Cade very nearly fell down a whole flight of stairs because he couldn't see his feet and the sheets were so long. He continued all the way to the library and saw in front of the doors was a group of other kids and a trick or treat set up. On the table, there was an inkwell filled with quills. Cade paused puzzled... was this the candy? He waited until another student took one and skipped away. Thinking this was it, Cade moved forward and tried to take two.

Immediately, the second quill scribbled something on his forehead, thankfully it was outside of his sheet. He scowled as he quickly drew off the sheet to see what it had written. "Now really?!" Cade cried out annoyed.

Costume

Paisley's expression turned to one of surprise when she picked up the quill. Giggling, Allie tried to answer her friend's questions. "I think you can write with them," she said, examining the one in her own hands curiously. "Although I'm not sure they will work very well. . . it seems like they'd just keep flopping around instead of actually writing anything." she added. She watched as the Gryffindor beside her picked up another, looking closely at them. Allie leaned in to see if there were any differences when the quill leapt out of her friend's hand and scrawled a single word on Paisley's forehead.

The Ravenclaw leapt backward, surprised. "What does it say?" her friend asked her quickly. "It doesn't say I'm a thief, does it?" Allie bit her lip.

"Well. . ." she started. "Not exactly. . . It says 'greedy'." Paisley seemed embarrassed for a few seconds, but then she laughed it off. Allie quickly changed the subject after, not wanting to linger on this one for too long, but she wondered who would take the ink off her friend's forehead. The professors wouldn't make the people who had picked up two quills walk around like that for long, right?

Allie waited for Paisley to grab a couple of chocolates and then she asked, "The Astronomy Tower next, right?" The pair had agreed on a few spots to trick or treat that Halloween and she was pretty sure the Astronomy Tower was one of them, but she wanted to confirm. A few minutes later the two were on their way.
