It was quick work finding an empty cart since they'd been able to get on before the majority of the crowd, it was a sweet relief knowing they wouldn't be forced to struggle in finding one that wasn't filled to the brim. Eyeing the space he sat across from Brielle, turning to look out the window as the train began to slowly move forward. He rested his head against the window pane, drinking in the cool feeling as his mind began to wander. For a moment the others words didn't really register, as half his mind was invested in the passing scenery as the train finally began to pick up speed.
Turning his attention to the other there was a moment of silence as he mulled over her question. Her eyes shined with something, maybe curiosity or excitement? It made sense he supposed, based on what she had said about her parent he guessed she might be a muggle born. The wall incident only supported the thought...Though he knew quite well it was rude to simply ask someone if they were muggleborn so he kept the musing to himself for the moment.
"I...don't really know," he offered lamely, "I never thought about it before. My family.." he paused, trying to think of the words to explain it, "we have mixed houses unlike some other wizard folk. My mothers a Raven, my father Slytherin."
He shrugged, not really thinking that much of the whole thing. He'd never had. His family didn't care about the sorting bit. They only cared about results. He didn't understand the big deal about being sorted. It wasn't like it would effect a persons future.
"What do you think you'll be?" he asked, turning the question back on her, "you seem like you could be any of them...maybe Gryffindor with how you yelled at me," he teased, smirking at the memory of how ticked she'd been.

She looked at him in shock over the fact that he didn't seem to think it was a big deal. I mean, it isnt, but still. That was all Brielle thought about over the summer, is what house she would be in and how her first year would play out. Although, she guessed it wasnt as important to others.
The question of her house, well she didnt really know. With the rest of your family attending Illvermorny it's kind of hard to know what is going to happen at an entirely different school.
Brielle did a tad bit of research though, like the lore behind Hogwarts. Brielle liked it the most because of the Harry Potter history. Something about withstanding an attack from one of the most powerful dark wizards was incredible.
As she looked back over at her new friend, she shrugged implying she didnt know either.
"Ah, probably Gryffindor yeah. That would be cool.. or maybe Slytherin, I'd be the new Draco in school." She joked, raising a brow. Brielle then placed he hands in her lap and looked and looked at the door to their booth.
It was a woman, a woman selling all sorts of candies and treats. Brielle took a chocolate frog and a box of jellybeans. Brielle opened the chocolate frog first, she seemed more excited about to card than the actual candy. "I got Lear! The headmaster at Hogwarts this year!" She exclaimed joyfully. She then looked back over at the boy, cocking her head to see if he'd buy anything.

He laughed, just a small bit at the others mention of Draco though he could somewhat see it actually happening, not in a bad way but...he couldn't quite place a finger on it.
Seeing the candy booth he watched as Brielle bought her items, a chocolate frog and jellybeans. He didn't have the biggest sweet tooth, though one could chalk that up to the rarity of him having the chance to eat any. Eyeing the options he decided rather quickly on a chocolate frog and a pack of exploding bon bons, all based on what his cousins had talked about during family gathering. Eyeing the others candy he smiled cheekily when the frog started to move around, paying no mind to the woman as she left rather quickly to other carts.
"You should probably watch that or else it might jump out the window." he hummed, flicking his own box open to grab the small card within, "Vlad Drakul, vampire card huh..."
He flicked it up, showing the card to Brielle with a raised brow, "that mustache though, think I could pull off the sleazy look?" he deadpanned, trying to look serious in the face of such a ridiculous idea.
With his free hand he popped the box of bon bons open, not blinking an eye when the frog started to jump away and out the slightly ajar window suicidal candy style. Picking up one of the treats he threw it into his mouth, looking out the window where the chocolate frog had been thrown off.
"Personally, I don't like fast food," he explained, gesturing to the chocolate frog box, "but I'll admit the cards look nice."

George had been late to get on the train, much to his bitter disappointment. His mother, unfortunately, didn't share in his enthusiasm to be sent off to a school of witchcraft - especially one so far away from home. He had no patience to endure her drawn-out goodbyes and rambling well-wishes, tugging away from her as she drew him back in. The boy managed to squirm free from her arms and started in a jog toward the doors as last call rang out.
He was kind enough to turn back and spare her a hasty "I love you!" before the train doors shut behind him. As he felt the Express kick into motion, his heart sank a bit. She'd get a letter saying that, too, in case she wanted a second go at goodbyes. For now, he belonged at Hogwarts. He was a wizard! He'd been told as much, at any rate. And what reason would he have to doubt it?
The pain of missing her faded, but the lingering sting was nowhere near as immediate of the pain of missing the snack trolley. George watched, forlorn, as it disappeared further down the corridor and into the next car. Better for his belly, but worse for his head. His legs still cried out in their own ache, though, and he carried himself in a wobbly gait down to a cart with some seats still left for the late-boarders.
Trudging up shortly after the visit from the candy saleslady was a bedraggled first-year, his brown hair strewn around his head in a disorganized pile. The dirt of Diagon Alley was still clinging to his shoes, leaving muddied footprints in his wake. Still, he used model manners as he gently rapped at the edge of the doorway to the pair's little booth.
"Beg your pardon," George blurted out, pausing to spare an envious glance at Elsian's vampire card. "...May I come in and sit?"

He eyed the newcomers rather bewildering appearance. Remembering his earlier thoughts on late comers he counted his blessings in not ending up like this poor fellow. "I don't see why not," he replied agreeably, "there's plenty of room. Right?"
It was less of a question and more of a statement but so far Brielle seemed like she'd be the type to agree. She was nice, with a bit of a temper but nice nonetheless.
Besides, there really wasplenty of room between them, even with a plus one. The cart they'd grabbed was rather big, bigger than he'd thought them to be originally. Turning the other away would just be plain rude and he'd been taught better. More importantly, the other had been rather polite, more so than most people would in his state which only left a better impression in his eyes.
"Here," he moved his box of sweets and small bag off the seat next to him, making room for the other, "you missed the trolley sadly but," he waved the rather full box of bon bons, "I was just about to offer Brielle some, you could have some too."
He looked over to Brielle, eyeing the jellybeans with obvious distaste, "after all, you'll need something else for when one those things get you. Dirty socks is one of the flavors you're likely to get you know," he gave Brielle a raised brow, "honestly I can't believe you'd actually risk eating them."

Brielle giggled at how serious he was trying to look when proposing if he could work a mustache. "No, I don't think so.." She blurted out, her head bobbing up and down from laughter.
Just then she saw the sliding of the booth door open once more, yet it was another student, a first year it seemed to look like. He looked shy, and stuttered his words out. "May I come and sit?" Brielle noticed Elsian's glance and nodded back to show she didn't mind. She watched the boy sit next to Elsi and gave a warm smile as their eyes met.
"Honestly I can't believe you'd actually risk eating them." Elsian had stated, shaking his head in disgust. Brielle really couldn't care less though, stinky socks? Please.. She could handle it.
She opened the box delicately and chose a bean at random. Though, she stood still for about a moment, contemplating whether to eat it or not. She shrugged and placed it in her mouth, preparing herself for a vile flavor. Instead of a horrid taste of what dirty socks smell like though, it was actually replaced by a splash of cherry.
"I guess I got lucky, huh?"

"You're a lifesaver!" George was quick to praise Elsian, plucking up one of the offered bon bons and tossing it up into his waiting gob. He grinds it to dust between his teeth, the crunchy candy popping on his tongue as he savors the taste. He chomps a few moments longer before he swallows down, slipping his tongue over his lips to catch the rest of the sugary dust. "Ah - needed that. Was 'fraid I'd starve on the way back north."
Fearing he might not have gotten the last of it, he pinched up the sleeve of his sweater and dragged it across his lips. He wrinkled his nose after, picking a little piece of wool off of his upper lip where it had been glued by the sticky candy. After that, and taking a moment to comb out his hair with his fingers, he was sure that he looked presentable enough for an introduction. He turned to Elsian first, offering a little smile.
"I'm George," he informs the other boy, before looking across at Brielle. He pauses a moment to look her over, admiring her hair for a moment before finishing off with the rest of it. "George Henry. It's my first time going to Hogwarts, just got my wand and everything from the shops. Doesn't matter that I missed the trolley, too much - I haven't got any good money. All I brought from home were pounds, and none of the wizard shops like them much."
In his admiration of Brielle, he'd noticed the box of beans in her hands. The print on the label was hard to read without squinting, and he read it aloud as he leaned in. "Every flavor? Is that for certain? Does it say which ones are in, on the box?
He held a cupped hand out to Brielle and gave his most charming smile, nodding toward her box of sweets.
"May I have one? I want to test my luck!"

Elsian gave the girl an absolutely betrayed look when she denied his chances with the mustache, hand going to his cheek as if to protect the nonexistent facial hair. He quickly forgot about it though, giving the other a small nod at the introduction.
"Ah, yeah the money difference can be troublesome," he nodded, knowing first hand how troublesome it could be when he'd went to the muggle side of London.
"I don't think you'll have to worry about that though for too long. We get scholarship money, everyone does. I think we collect it in our dorms." pausing in his speech he wrickled his nose when Brielle ate the candy, "lucky for now."
Seeing George's not so subtle gaze he held back a snicker, taking pity when he figured teasing him wouldn't be very nice in front of Brielle. The moment his gaze shifted to the jelly beans though his face twisted into one of slight disgust. Voice tilted with disbelief when he actually asked to try his luck.
"Oh not you too!" he sighed, exasperated, "ugh, you're both far braver than me." he mumbled popping another bon bon into his mouth, watching curiously to see if George would get a bad flavor.

"Scholarship money! That's good, since I haven't really got any idea how to make, ah... wizard money. Not sure what sort of job you get after magic school," George admits, smiling with unbridled excitement as he listens to Elsian. The little thief snags a bean from Brielle's box of candy, lifting it up to inspect it and giving it a cautious sniff. "I've got to be brave. Else I won't get in Gryffindor!"
He pops the bean into his mouth, his face immediately twisting into a portrait of regret and despair. Nonetheless, he chews and chew, coughing and covering his mouth before he manages to swallow down whatever horrible flavor of candy he might have stolen. He looks down at his hand before wiping his mouth with a sleeve and sticking out his tongue to gag like a retching cat. "You've got no idea what I just spared you. Neither do I, but it was absolutely vile."
He looks across to Elsian once that show of bravery was concluded, shutting his mouth and letting out a quiet whimper before he swallows down the last of the bad taste in his mouth. Ech.
"Is this your first year as well? I only just got my letter and had the lady come explain it all to my parents," he informs them, glancing back and forth between them. "Are you excited?"

Elsi watched the other with a straight face, mouth quirking into a small smile when the other popped the small candy into his mouth. At the first signs of disgust the smile turning into small snickers as it became clear quite quickly whatever flavor he'd gotten was one of the worse ones.
"Ooh, bad luck." he laughed face blooming into a Cheshire grin as the boy started cough and struggle to chew with whatever horrible flavor he was sure the boy had gotten. He snickered at the others woes, not even bothering to cover up his glee at the others expressions.
"I hope the bravery was worth the taste!" he crowed. Taking pity at the others whimper he shoved his own candy forward, a easy get away for George, whilst popping a second bon bon and savoring the sweet taste as the other spoke, "I don't want to say I told you so but~" he gave a boy a teasing look, "I told ya so."
He gave George a small nod as he chewed, quickly swallowing, "I'm a first year," he agreed, "excited...I guess? I'm excited for the magic at least. The sorting? not so much."
Honestly he didn't really see the point in the whole sorting business. Usually it just caused fights or problems between houses if what he'd heard and seen was anything to go by.
"What about you?"
