Second to Last Compartment
Hogwarts Express
Sliding the compartment door closed behind her, Isabella pulled her trunk inside the only empty compartment she could find. The train had been crowded with people of all ages. She hadn't wanted to sit with anyone new, or meet anyone new just yet. So, she walked all the way down the train to find the second to last compartment free of people. Heaving her trunk onto one of the seats, she sat down on one of the seats.
In the weeks leading up to September the first she had been a nervous wreck. From the first time she had heard about Hogwarts, she had been waiting for her chance to go. When she had received her Hogwarts letter she had thought it was too good to be true, and had lived with a smile on her face for weeks. But now that she was actually here she was a nervous wreck. She was afraid to go to a place she had never been too before, full of people she had never met before. What if she wasn't liked? What if she wasn't accepted?
A thudding noise sounded outside the compartment, coming closer and closer. Thud thud thud. What on earth was that sound? The compartment door slide open. She smiled and breathed a sigh of relief as she recognized the familiar face. If there was anyone she wanted to join her, it was the person standing in the doorway. "What took you so long? Merlins beard, you took your time. You're like a sloth. Was that you thudding along the corridor? What were you even doing out there?" She teased, a smile on her face. The nervous feeling had disappeared as soon as the compartment had slide open. She had forgotten she wouldn't be completely alone at Hogwarts.
You see? Even death has a heart.

Girls Of Yesterday
Elizabeth had been dreaming off this moment ever since she could walk. Running through the wall on platform 9 3/4s, sitting in a compartment and watching the trees go past though her window, buying food off the trolley and, most importantly, attending Hogwarts with her cousin - who was sometimes more of a sister than a cousin. It was almost perfect. If only her parents were here too see it.
As Elizabeth ran down the narrow hallway of the train, looking into each compartment for her cousin. She suddenly stopped at the sign of the famous candy trolley. Her mouth started to water at the different scents and smells that filled her nose. She reached into her jacket pocket, pulling out the money her grandmother had given her for the journey, before handing over the money to buy as much candy as she possibly could. Then she took off running down the hallway - starting to go down to the back compartments.
As she reached the back she peered into the second to last compartment and spotting a familiar face. She waited a couple minutes before sliding the door open - a little bit too fast and causing a little bang that must have gave Isabella a bit of fright.
"What took you so long? Merlin's beard, you took your time. You're like a sloth. Was that you thudding along the corridor? What were you even doing out there?" Isabella teased. Elizabeth stared at her cousin blankly before answering. "Well I was running, trying to find you and, well, let me show you." She mumbled as she tucked her hands into her jacket pockets, tipping out what must of been hundreds of pieces of candy, before looking back at her cousin and shrugging her shoulders.
Elizabeth walked over too the seat opposite Isabella - which was slightly closer to the window.’Fool’ Elizabeth thought to her self. She placed her trunk and bags down, one especially with care as it seemed to have something alive in it. Elizabeth jumped as the train started to move, before quickly shoving her face onto the window and watching the outside move. It was just as she had dreamed of - the light bouncing off the trees and water, the sound of the train wheels on the tracks. As she removed her face from the glass, she put her hand out - offering her cousin some of the candy she had bought from the trolley earlier.

Girls Of Yesterday
"Well I was running, trying to find you and, well, let me show you." She rolled her eyes at her cousins response. Jeez, she'd probably found the food trolley or something and just simply had to stop and get food. Not that she would be complaining if her cousin decided to share for once.
Laughing out loud as her cousin tipped hundreds of bits and pieces of delicious treats, she reached her hand out and picked up a chocolate frog. Her cousin wouldn't mind if she just helped herself to some of her food. After all, she did the exact to her whenever she had food. It was just part of their relationship with each other.
Watching in delight as the chocolate frog jumped off her hand, and onto the seat across from them, she turned to her cousin - shaking her head at the candy she held in her out stretched hand. "I still remember the time you gave me a Casu Marzu flavored Bertie Bott. Gimme all your chocolate frogs and I might trust you a bit more when it comes to candy." A playful smile danced on her face as she spoke. Although she wasn't really one for candy after the incident with her cousin, she always had a soft spot for chocolate frogs. What kind of person couldn't like them?
"So, this is it, huh? I can't believe we're really going." She rested her head on the back of her seat and sighed. She had been waiting for this for years. Why now was she suddenly doubting it? Surely, she couldn’t be having second thoughts about going to Hogwarts. It was only the greatest wizarding school in the world.
”Are you nervous Lizzie?” At this, she turned her head to look at her cousin - wanting to pick up any trace of a lie or half truths that might come out of her cousins mouth. She didn’t want to be the only one having doubts about going to Hogwarts, she simply couldn’t be the only one of the pair that was doubting the start of their new life.
