Chasing Down the Grinch
The holiday spirit was flowing through young Galton on this fine December afternoon. Nothing warmed his heart like a holiday, the prospects of sweets and presents high, nothing could take him down. It was time to adorn the halls in a festive manner, as the season would require. Tinsel and stockings, wreathes and ornaments, how could you go wrong. But Galton’s chosen method would be garland. Meters and meters and meters of garland. Red, green, gold, he had it all. He was going to spread his holiday cheer all around with a trusty partner. Toad!Deck the halls errand with @Teiki Laurent
Galton was fully equipped. A pocket stuffed with hooks, garland wrapped all around, he looked like some sort of Christmas desperado. A Santa hat sat on his head as a finishing touch. Toad on the other hand was naked. Well she was always naked but today was not the day for a naked cat. She needed a hat.
Toad disliked the hat, but seemed to put up with it, allowing Galton to carry her on his shoulders as he hung garland. Every so often she would swat at a piece, mistaking it for playtime.
After roughly 6 meters of garland Toad decided it was okay time. She hopped from Galton’s shoulder, knocking off her hat in the process. Disaster, just a plain naked cat now, nothing holiday about that. Galton picked the hat up to re-equip his feline friend who had taken off before he looked up.
“TOAD! Santa is gonna see! TOAD! PUT ON YOUR HAT!” Galton sprinted after the cat, garland streaming around him. He wouldn’t let this grinch ruin Christmas.

Teiki was ready for Christmas. Most of her attire now consisted of ugly christmas sweaters, and any clothing that even had a slight majority of green or red. She found herself constantly making little presents, which she would put out in hallways, hoping it might cheer someone up. Sometimes she'd even make it a little treasure hunt, which would give you a small toy, or some type of goody. She had a small little gift in her present as she walked down the corridor, her step having a new little hop of joy, and her head filled with Christmas carols. Her excitement almost seemed endless, although it was quite obviously mixed with a bit of panic. But it just made the holidays seem more like the holidays.
"TOAD!" She glanced up in surprise, before looking down to see a cat running away from a boy with holiday festivities practically dancing around him. Having no time to worry about the name of the cat, she quickly tried to intercept the cat, blocking its escape. Of course, the cat seemed positively furious that someone would even try to give it some festive clothing. Or maybe just clothing.
"Sorrybutyourcatseemedtoberunningawayanditisyourcatright?Didyoutryandputthehatonit-I." She said it really quickly, her eye still trained on the cat. It was a moment when she was really glad it was winter, for she had padding in case the cat tried to jump on her.
"Sorry, but your cat seemed to be running away- and it is your cat, right? Did you try and put the hat on it- I."

Jo yawned as she walked back into the castle, picking pine needles and the occasional clump of wet snow from her hair.
Her circadian rhythm was all out of whack - she’d woken up too early and then exercised a lot, which was a rare occurrence for the mostly sedentary girl. Couple that with the fact that she had a tough flying lesson in a few hours, and it was painfully clear that all she needed was a nap. Of course, she wouldn’t get one because in 20 minutes she had to go to Herbology which she was probably too tired to do.
Tucking a freshly made pine-and-mistletoe wreath under her arm, she hummed a little ditty as she wandered through the corridors. She passed a beautiful statue of an old woman in a robe, clutching a wand as if preparing to cast a wonderful spell.
Suddenly, it occurred to her that she had yet to find a place to hang her wonderful wreath! A terrible lack of foresight on her part, but one that could easily be made up. She’d just have to find a place here that could work.
As she traipsed through the corridor, she came across a Gryffindor boy and a Hufflepuff. The boy seemed slightly older, but she wasn’t entirely sure.
Intending to ignore them for the most part, she gave them a little bow, but stopped as she noticed a beautiful cat near the Hufflepuff.
“Is that your cat?” She asked the girl, tossing her braid (askew from the snowball fight) over her shoulder and shaking some stray hairs from her face.
Next, Jo noticed that the boy was holding a tiny Santa hat. It was much too small for a human head, however. Perhaps...
“A cat in a hat? How delightful!” She exclaimed.

"Out here, the wild ones are taming the fear within me.
Scared to call them my friends and be broken again; Is this hope just a mystical dream?"
