But What is Not PV Dymph Closed

“And nothing is, but what is not.”
The Teague family. Alexx had recalled the limited amount of knowledge that had been passed unto her in regards to the relation between the Teague's and the Séverin's. Alexx knew little about Dymphna, though. While the two were friends, she would confess that there hadn't been much communication between the two. It was odd, considering that Dymphna was one of three people who knew of Alexx's history and had yet to turn away from her.

After all, Dymphna knew so much about her. It was sad to say that Alexx was defined by her family name. Many people made sure of that. And the blonde-headed Ravenclaw witnessed this upon their encounter with Aurelia. So, all the cards were out on the table. It was disturbing to say the very least. But in another sense, Alexx was thankful that this was one person she needn't hide from. The other two, Emma Hill and Rhea Bishop, were different stories in terms of their alliance with Alexx. And Alexx suspected that Marcus De Wynter might find himself being a fourth, but she could not tell for sure.

In any case, this left Alexx is an ideal situation. People who understood her. She still dreaded the day that she would have to tell those who didn't know, or when they would come to find out, though she was thankful for there still being people who she could easily fall back to in a time of need.

That is why Alexx decided to approach Dymphna. There was free time left for both the girls, and she suspected that the Ravenclaw wasn't busy. It was a bad habit to assume that one wasn't busy and would adhere to your schedule when you needed them to, and Alexx certainly did possess it. It wasn't that the Slytherin Prefect was rude about this or anything. Should she be turned away, her heels would happily spike up and twist in the opposite direction, and she would hunt down someone who had the time if she so wished. However, for now, her eyes were set on her eagle friend.

When she thought of Dymphna, Alexx definitely associated her with a sense of compassion. A strong witted Ravenclaw for sure, and she used her head well enough to understand the type of person that Alexx was, unlike a certain lion girl. This was enough for the serpent to immediately feel comfortable. Comfortable enough to approach Dymphna, even when she had not been invited to do such.

Her shoes made a clacking noise against the stone floors as she sped up, making an attempt to catch up with her friend. "Dymphna!" She greeted her with a smile as she finally caught up to her, her pace now slowing down. "I haven't seen you in a while. How are you?" It was small talk- so casual, and enough to start a conversation. She had no specific subject in mind at the moment, so she didn't know what else to say to the girl.

There was next to nothing going on in the Slytherin's life right now. She had nothing to talk about, which was a total change. Quite typically, her mouth moved a mile a minute, firing witty remark after witty remark. She was sharp-tongued and full of unbelievable amounts of spunk. However, today, the young girl had nothing. Speaking of classes was much too boring. Talking about other people was far too typical. Everything she thought of was totally bland and would not entice anyone. Instead, she opted for small talk.

"Have you heard that the new flying professor played for the Harpies? I'm with the paper, so that's how I found out. Cool, right?" She offered as a conversation started, smiling still at the girl. "I know, totally random subject, but it was the first thing to come to mind. I'm terrible at small talk."

One thing that was both lovely and hilarious about the Slytherin Prefect was that she said just about anything. Of course, she had a small filter. She knew when something shouldn't be said. However, when it came to something like this, it was as if the words on her mind slipped right past her lips unwillingly. It wasn't much of a problem, instead, it was just very strange. On another note, Alexx could not stop being amazed by the newest addition to the Quidditch-obsessed students (Alexx being one of them). Of course, Professor Ryker had been an amazing professor, and extremely talented in his own right, but her mind could not stop going back to how they had a former professional player on the professor team. It was her topic of interest for the evening.

Aside from that, Alexx had to get busy writing that article of hers, in which the next topic was the new professor, so it was only natural that this was on her mind, to begin with. Silently she wondered if Dymphna even liked Quidditch, or if she knew who the Harpies were. She knew Dymphna didn't play, because she would have seen her whilst in the match. Though, you don't have to play to be a fan. It could be entirely possible that Dymphna watched from the stands instead. If that were the case, then she likely saw Alexx up there; Slytherin's second Chaser. Alexx liked being a Chaser, but she would have preferred Seeker.

This meant Quidditch was the best topic that the girl could come up with. It wasn't often she got the chance to discuss it with anyone anyway, so if Dymphna was at all interested in what she had to say, this would be an amazing opportunity to muse about her favorite subject. After all, it was a call for more bonding, right? All this was just a reason to have another friend, as she wanted. She had previously regretted not being closer to the girl, so now was her chance to build the bridge between the two. She continued to smile, awaiting a response from her friend.

chill babe. we're all bad in someone's story.
