First Year Entrance:

Hello First Years! Welcome to your first school year! Alaric, Artemis, and I are leading the 2019-2020 First Year Entrance! We would love for you to join and take in your first view of Hogwarts with us! Maybe one of you will even meet the Giant Squid. 

Half-Veela

The official lore on the elusive, beautiful Half-Veela has been released! If you consider to apply for the race or if you are already a registered as a Half-Veela, go ahead and read more about their magical ancestors, history and abilities here.

Several students will be making new friends over the ocean. Ilvermorny students are starting to send letters to their new Hogwarts friends. This is a prelude to a trip they will be taking on October 1 to visit Hogwarts. During this time their dNPC will be able to interact with other players in Hogwarts in a matter that is not an owl and should prove to be interesting.



October is a time for colder weather and all things spooky. This year Hogwarts is hosting a costume ball and the students from Ilvermorny are invited to join. The ball is open to all students, but the players who are participating with dNPCs will be able to bring 2 characters their own as well as their dNPC to this event. Initial Announcement of this Event.

Giant Lore

The official lore for the giant and half-giant races is now up in your Encyclopedia section. You want to be strong, intimmidating and have the strength of 10 wizards? Check out about full and half giants there.

Candle Errand - September 2019 is finished!

Rewards were sent out: 6 Sickle and 4 Cholocate Frogs. Please owl me, should anything be missing. The errand was closed and is over. You may finish your threads, otherwise, they will be locked for inactivity after a month. Thank you for your participation.

There have been multiple cases lately where users edited content that was already approved by either the Index or Validation team in a way that goes against site rules, intentionally making the edited content appear approved.

To be clear: you are not allowed to do major changes to an approved backstory or ability application without approval from the Index Team. The same goes for the dNPCs created for Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, where the thread explicitly mentioned that no editing of posts is allowed.

Please follow the guidelines mentioned in our rule threads and the instructions given by the staff who validate your content. If this trend continues the staff team will have to take measures to prevent such cheating of the rules, which would ultimately result in taking the right to edit certain posts from the players altogether.

This is an official announcement to let everyone know, that staff will clear out the Index two times a year depending on activity. 

What does Clearing mean?
We take out the name of the list, if the user is not active anymore to prevent the list of becoming filled with inactive users. The Index is used to display the list of our students, as such a Clearing is necessary.

What happens when a name is taken from the Index?
The students trunk is being deleted and they will be notified via owl. Should they want to become active again, they may re-register anytime. The trunk will then be restored. The student won't loose any learnt potion or spell.

When will a name be taken from the Index?
Staff will check everyone's activity. One message is enough, which means all you have to do is write at least one message within six months. This message can be posted anywhere on site.
