Summer Camp is coming!
Summer holidays will be commencing very soon. Some of you will want to head back 'home' and utilise this opportunity to visit London or Diagon Alley. For those of you who wish to stay, we will be hosting a Summer Camp, with events & activities throughout the Summer for you to get involved in. IC, there are multiple trains going from Hogwarts back to Kings Cross this year, giving you the opportunity to pick how long your students stay at school.
Summer Holidays last 1st July to 31st August.
1st train – Begin of the holidays, end of June.
2nd train – July the 14th
3rd train – August the 1st
4th train – August the 23rd
There will also be returning trains throughout the Summer, with the final train on 1st September for the new school year. This way, new students will be permitted to attend Hogwarts a few months early and enjoy their summer getting used to the new school.
Just wanted to give you this notice so that you can start planning your summer holiday plans!

New Errands
We've made some changes to the Errand System and now offer students the opportunity to earn money from it as well as house points.
Students are capped at earning:You will start to see more errands popping up now and then to give you the opportunity to earn some more house points or a bit of extra money. Please follow the specific rules of the individual errands that you take part in and remember these caps when taking part. If you've already earned 10 sickles in June, for example and do another errand that rewards money, you won't get the reward.
- No more than 25 house points per year.
- A maximum of 10 sickles per calendar month.

Reminder: It's not essential to take part in errands. They are completely optional. They simply offer you more opportunities to earn money or house points, as well as more RPG opportunities.

Captain for the House Quidditch teams is wanted!
The role as captain is that of the house teams leader. The captain will have two main responsibilities, number one is to moderate quidditch matches. And number two is to keep the games they are in active.
They will also help picking the rest of the house team when that time comes together with their head of house.
The captain position is not a staff position, but does require a bit of work as captains are expected to mod matches their team is not in. This most likely be rewarded by a monetary sum, but the exact number is not yet decided on.
This application is open for both staff and non-staff, but already staff members are reminded that it will be expected that you do the work of both positions to its fullest.
The reason why we open this position up a while before the rest of the team is because we need the captains to understand how to mod the system before the quidditch season of next year begins. You will OOC practice modding the system during the summer.
How the application works, you will first send an owl to your Head of House and the Headmaster where you answer the form below. You will then get access to a test round of the quidditch system and the rules of the system and you then have to mod the round. Applicants will be chosen mostly on the practical example. The applicant that gets the position will then get to pick the position they want to play before the application for the rest of the team opens up at a later date.

Races & Abilities are now Public
Races and Abilities has left the semi-public beta with Gryffindor and have now been released to the public. All Houses may now apply for the 6 stat system, abilities and specialty races.

Summer Camp is here!
If you're staying in Hogwarts for the School Holidays, be sure to check out our Summer Camp. We will have events, threads and errands running for you throughout the months of July-August so there will be enough for you to roleplay around the school. New First Years are also welcome to come up to school early and start roleplaying. Returning students are welcome to attend the camp for a bit.
So whatever your summer plans are, be sure to check out the information thread to find out more.

New & Returning Professors
Please welcome back Aoi K. Risa in her new role as Professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts. Aoi was a former Professor in this community who recently expressed interest in returning to her Professor role. For those that are familiar with her, she was our former History of Magic Professor. We are very excited to have her back as a member of the Professor Team.
Also, please welcome a new Professor to the team, Professor Boniface Murtagh MacTavish our new Professor of Herbology. We are excited to see what Professor MacTavish brings to the table.

Learnt Spells
Please be aware that students learn all spells that are taught through homework upon graduation from that year. This means that if you graduated from First Year to Second Year in July, you will automatically be able to add all First Year Spells to your Encyclopedia Trunk through a Trunk Update.
If you apply for an update, please be sure to state that you graduated and mention the previous year's spells if you want to have them added to your Encyclopedia trunk.

REMINDER: LEARNT SPELLS ON GRADUATION
Please note that spells learned on graduation (above announcement) are only applicable to:
1. Spells only. [Not Potions]
2. Spells learned through homework [Not RPG Lessons, adventures or events etc]
This post contains all of the spells available to learn through homework. RPG lesson spells are listed separately too (and linked to if you wish to gain them).
If you include RPG lesson spells or potions in your trunk update, it will not be approved or added until you can prove you've done potions homework and/or the RPG threads. Adding them without proof will just cause a delay.
P.S. Coding updates are fine.
