Mentions Jo, Evelyn, Price, Rafael, Piérre
Wow. Holy crap.
Those words were not the reaction Pericles had anticipated. His focus flickered back to Jo Morgan, clearly surprised, and for a moment the boy believed he had said something incorrect or foolish. He offered the letter to her with an apologetic air, adding at an awkward mumble, "At least... I think so." That surprise took on a different shade at what followed: We’re lucky to have a Ravenclaw here, eh? Relieved, relatively flattered, and experiencing an unfamiliar flicker of House-based pride, a toothier smile formed. It curled up one corner of his mouth, brightening his stare. Pericles dipped his head in an appreciative humble nod. As Evelynn voiced potential meanings, he found himself caught up in her excitement, enthusing in agreement "It could be any of those a'tall!" He was less daunted by the uncertainty of the case, more thrilled with its possibilities. Yet Professor Price's arrival quickly quelled that. As the scarred mentor approached the chalk board, the ghostly student skittered back his desk, slipping out of the way to relinquish the front.
Whenever he sat in a classroom seat, Pericles' enthusiasm was well compressed. It did not manifest in spoken speculations nor pensive contributions, but in the swift scrawling of a quill, ink flowing fast and free as he continued adding to his notes. Mention of the now infamous Masquerade Ball brought about a fleeting frown. He had not attended, which was extremely fortunate on all counts save one: he could only read about the events which transpired as opposed to witnessing them for himself. As a young boy eager for thrilling tales, he seemingly overlooked the traumatic after-effects which this particular "adventure" inflicted upon his schoolmates. Jo and the Professor made clear the need to research hags. Pericles had studied the subject quite recently while helping another Gryffindor girl, but he had delved more into lore than how to handle the dark Beings. If the half giant was a hag, and a hag had left cursed dolls around the property... how did a hag tie in with the Potter case?
Lost to wonderings, Pericles remained rather silent, eyes narrow while he squinted and scanned the board. Information was readily copied onto his notebook, lips pressed tight in concentration. Blessedly, to his elation, the Professor himself extended an invitation for further involvement. Mr. Dralt? The boy looked up with a start, eyes round and bright as newly minted sickles. You might be our best candidate to track down this Vladimir. What do you think? Not only had a teacher spoken to him- he had been offered an assignment to track down a fellow mage. Was this what it would be like, the young wizard wondered, when he became an auror? He had even been addressed by title and surname! So stricken was he that Pericles did not yet note he was looking back at Professor Price like a fish: silver eyes practically bulging, jaw working with a soundless stammer. Eventually, he caught his senses, drawing breath before blurting with a startling sternness: "It would be an honor, sir." Too much...? Too little? He hardly minded in that moment.
When Rafael chimed in that he and Jo would look for the same student, a sudden thought tempered his resolution with a shade of caution. Tentatively, on a less intense note, Pericles added: "Professor...? When we find them," he didn't doubt they would, "d'you suppose it's safe to ask these witnesses questions, or do you think we oughtn't approach them alone?" So absorbed was he with the situation at hand that he jumped at the thud from Piérre’s head hitting his desk. Peri turned to stare with an empty expression, confusion only evident in the crooked line his lips formed. But when the boy buried his head, perplexity turned to sympathy, even empathy. He knew how it felt to be carried away by one's own calculations. Quietly, casually, he tried to inch in an agreement, saying soothingly, "That does sound nice. I was born in Greece but even I didn't consider the characters, and truth be told, I think we could all use some tea after this."
Summary
Is flattered by Jo's compliment for his House and excited by Evelynn's guesses at the date's significance. Gives the letter back to Jo before returning to his seat and continuing to copy notes. Enthusiastically agreed to help find the Ravenclaw, Vladimir, but asked if it would be safe for any of the witnesses to be approached and asked questions alone. Tries to offer some agreement to Pierre's ramblings.

Woah. Things went quick, and lots of tasks needed to be done. Teiki placed her hand on her forehead for a moment, scrunching up her face. But she slowly let it rest, her face remaining calm and curious. There was already a list on the board, mainly a repetition of what the professor had said. But, honestly, Teiki needed it. Everything was going rather quickly- or just long rambles. Which was fine- until everyone was doing it. Even herself, she supposed.
She glanced between students and the board, wondering what items she should help with. It seemed the items were going away quickly. And Teiki certainly wanted to help out. Of course, she wondered if it would make any difference, really. She nodded along, before awkwardly raising her hand.
"Wait- could the write also be an Ilvermorny person? Because they wouldn't really know the location of all that, considering that they've been mainly in the Americas. Or it could be a genius ploy to have us assume that, but that's just a lot of trouble." She winced, realizing that technically most of their observations were based off of guesses. Well- they would get them all somewhere. Even if not in the right direction. At least they would figure that out eventually.
Another awkward hand raise. "I could- actually- never mind." She would allow someone with a better knowledge of the situation to do that. Whatever 'that' was. "But- uh- I could check the Hospital Wing for some Wiggenweld potion. Just to make sure they have it in stock, or to bring to you, professor?" She wanted to make sure that she did it right. She didn't want to ruin or waste time at this point. It seemed as though they were close. Although, close had varying definitions.

BANG!
Elliot swiveled in his chair as a thud echoed through the the room. His eyes would meet with Pierre’s as he nursed his forehead. Apparently the young man had dozed off during their meeting. Elliot knew he wasn’t the most exciting man, but they were trying to find evidence that very well might help free the legendary Harry Potter! Pierre mumbled about chamomile and teas.
“What on Earth are you talking about young man?” He asked the boy, but before Elliot could say more, Pierre continued his rambling. At least now he was awake and making sense. The offer to act as eyes and ears might very well be helpful. Especially if his claim was true. Elliot’s brows raised high over his rounded spectacles as Pierre pointed out the some of the letters were Greek signs.
“Nicely spotted Mr. Marchonne. Well done. Yes, if you could keep your eyes peeled and your ears open, perhaps you might get lucky and stumble upon some more useful information. News is surely spreading around the castle, people will be talking. I’m not sure what the connection with the Greek lettering could be. Make sure to take a copy, you never know if it might pop up again.”
Elliot’s attention then turned to Lamik as he spoke for the first time. “Thank you Mr. Fillestar, that would be most helpful. Hags are as mysterious as they are wicked. Any information we can gather them will bolster our chances against them.”
Rafael would be the next to speak, offering his services along with Miss Morgan’s. “Excellent Mr. D’Spacito. I do think it is crucial that we hear from the witnesses first hand. Any little detail they may add could just be the break we need. I’ll do my best to assist you in speaking with Professor Jensen. Perhaps she may have a little more insight into all this.”
Elliot shifted his body to face Pericles. “That’s the spirit Mr. Dralt! Now, I’m sure these students are a bit on edge, but it should be alright to approach them alone. They may not be open at first, but I am confident you will be able to get the information you need. If you’re not comfortable going alone, perhaps you might team up with Rafael and Jo?”
Miss Laurent would be the last to speak. “That would be great. I will double check my storeroom to make sure I have plenty of Wiggenweld potion there. If you could perhaps speak to the nurse to make sure the stores are full, that would be really helpful. That way I’ll know if I need to replenish it. Just ask him to send me an Owl if they require more.”
With that, Elliot would stand from his seat and face the black board. They had all done well, but there was still so much to do. At this point they were all mostly just guessing, but that’s how all investigations start. Pull on the thread and see what unravels. With swift strokes of the chalk, he would write out the assignments.
