Disclaimer: "What is happening?"
She found herself sitting alone on an empty playground. The surroundings were not recognisable, even for her memory, but she felt it was the same playground she used to play on every day. When she was not reading. The same playground she was gathering information about muggles and what they are like. And how they behave. And what they are.
But no muggles were around.
Or wizards.
Or anyone.
She didn't see her parents anywhere in sight, but she felt they were near. Actually, she didn't, but she felt safe, which could only be possible in their presence. The houses around were in perfect order, one after another, forming an infinite line going far into the horizon. She was usually afraid of such scenery. Infinity frightened her before. Before she started studying the nature of fear. Not that studying of fear could help to get rid of the fear itself, but it was helpful to be able to come back to reasoning and senses quickly when you were afraid of something.
The whole scene was pretty much white, grey and black. And Meenauh wore her snow-white dress, which was not the best choice for such occasion as a playground. But knowing cleaning spells at the age of 7 was the reason she was sure almost anything could be cleansed.
She found herself sitting alone on the swings on an empty playground. She loved swinging, but she just sat there. Sat there, because she felt with the back of her head that a person was approaching. Someone of not white or grey. Someone, who was sharing the aura of safety, despite being unseen by the eyes.
"Hello," Meenauh said quietly without turning her head, "I'm Meenauh."
In future she would have to repeat the proper pronunciation, describing it with other words. But not today.

To Wish Impossible Things

She was walking with her parents and younger sister- well at least she thought she was. Maybe that was just a mere memory that never really existed. That was a big possibility, considering she never really went beyond the gates of the Alptraum mansion.-And if that was the case, if that was really just a figment of her imagination, then- then how did she get here?-And what exactly was here? Those were the thoughts that would have echoed through the mind of the future Xailah Alptraum. But this wasn't the future was it? No- judging by the grey-scale landscape, these- these were much simpler times, my friend.
These were the times when responsibility was non existent, and strangers were friends- not threats. There was very little to worry about. She stood there alone in her little black dress with the pockets on the front. She was alone, and quite frankly, a little lost. Lost, and a bit scared. Quivering golden eyes stared down the unending rows of gray buildings. Searching. But what for? The rings of gold fell to the floor, catching sight of a shiny object. Ooh. A bead.
And as the small slender fingers reached down to grab the small glowing orb; she would forget all about being scared. For a moment. Only for a moment. And when that bead was gone, she would find another one. And another one. A trail of beads it seemed. And if it was a trail, then it must lead to somewhere, right? Right. The pearly little spheres did indeed lead to something- no not something, someone. A small figure in a pretty white dress. She thought for a second that the figure was her sister. No, she was too tall. She quietly padded towards the person; happy to see another human.
The girl didn't turn to greet her, in fact she didn't move from her spot on the swing set at all. It was almost as if the girl in the white dress was expecting her. And strangely enough returning the greeting came rather easily. "H̷̡͖͕̺̓̒͘͠͠ă̶͇̜̼̱̼l̸̯̘̓͆͌l̵̡͛o̷̧͍̮̍̋." No. Do a double take and try again. Remember how you were taught to greet people. "Nice to meet you Meenauh. I'm Xailah Alptraum." She awkwardly shoved the beads that she had found, into one of the front pockets of her dress. She stood behind the swing that was not currently in use; debating on whether or not she should sit and join the other child. "Do you...do you need someone to push you?" She stared at the girl, with large dewy eyes.
She eventually sat down in the spare swing, lazily swinging along. When she asked if the other girl needed to be pushed; she was actually asking for someone to push her. She had only been on a swing set maybe five times during her youth, and during that time she always had someone pushing her. But there wasn't really anyone here that could do that now. Well, to the young metamorphs understanding; there wasn't.

To Wish Impossible Things
The warm aura intensified and a small girl materialised from behind and introduced herself back to her.
Meenauh and Xailah. Probably two most unrealistic and non-existent names in the universe. And yet there they were on the empty playground in the middle of nowhere. And the girl was suggesting pushing. Did she really need to be pushed? To be pushed where to? She wouldn't like to be pushed. Did she mean the swings? Didn't matter. Pushing was no good.
"No, thank you, I'm fine. I would... I would like it more if no pushing would be included in this," she answered without saying things out loud, but she was completely sure Xailah could hear it.
She c̷̡̖͕̉o̸̗͋̽̉̌u̶̱͑ĺ̵̢̻͍̣d̶̨̞̫̪͠ see the girl in her full grace. Little black dress with pockets, eyes of gold. Why would a dress need pockets? Dresses were meant to be free of things. To transform one into a butterfly or something. Also, she would prefer silver to go better with black, but the eyes couldn't be changed. Unless...
"Are you from Manchester yourself or you're just v̷̧̧̲̩͚̍̉̇̇ĩ̸̻͍̱̓̚s̷̡̲̞͍̼̤͔̓͊͗̆̃̚̚i̸̧̎̋̐̏̋ṫ̸̛̜͎͎̪̞̟̞͝i̸̥̥͋ṇ̶̗̘̓͋̒̒̈́̔̕ͅg̶͈̙̩͙̈́̎͂́̏̒̅?" she inquired, but again, as if she was addressing the emptiness of the playground in front of her, not the girl directly.
She was swinging high, not quite remembering if any pushing was involved or remembering she swung there herself. It felt like she was laughing before, or at least a great deal of giggling definitely happened. Confused and disoriented she hastily slowed down and stopped.
"Are you from Manchester yourself or you're just visiting?" she inquired, putting more sense to it as if it was vital to mean what you ask others.

"No, thank you, I'm fine. I would... I would like it more if no pushing would be included in this,"
She didn't exactly know why, but she felt her frail little heart drop ever so slightly. "Oh...alright." Did Meenauh not like her? Was it something she said? Most likely. Or maybe she didn't like the way she looked? Maybe that was it- She could change that. But w̷̥̰͇̬͓͂̌ͅe̶̥̳̍̚͝ͅ mustn't let ḿ̶͓̜͋̈͊ȯ̷̡̙̫͙́͒ẗ̸͚̎̇͒h̷̡̪̅̉́̆e̶̝͖̒́r̵̥͋͘͝͝ and f̶̧̳͇̿̏̅́ą̴̥̼͔͊͑̓ẗ̶̞̖̋̇h̴̛͙̋e̶͖͍̓̌̃r̷̗̈̑ find out. T̶̲̮͕̔h̶̠̺̬͗͂̄̇ȩ̷̤̺̫̉y̸̯̐̐͋ would have a cow if ẗ̸͉͕́h̷̩͓͕̑ê̴̙̗͚͜͝y̷̢͓̼̆͌̈́̐ found out. She wanted this girl to like her.
It was almost as if she could read this other childs mind; her vivid gold eyes began to fade in color- as if they were a fire being doused. Slowly, they transitioned into a rather vibrant grey- or rather silver. For a second she became one with the monochromatic surroundings. But that second didn't last long; because eventually her eyes began to change and cycle between their original gold color, and the new silver one. It was like watching one of those lamps that cycled between a assortment of colors- except this wasn't as cool or as colorful as the lamps. Meenauh asked a question- or at leas Xailah thought she did. She wasn't entirely sure at first. She turned to the girl; watching her as if she was a cat watching the swinging pendulum of a clock- right up until the girl abruptly stopped the swing.
"Are you from Manchester yourself or you're just visiting?"
She looked around. Ah so thats what this place is? This is Manchester? "I'm just visiting Í̷̠̤̽̿ ̶̞͚̊̽t̸͕̩̖̆ḣ̵̰̮̮̅̈́̄ï̵̲̔̎͠n̶̝͕̫̄̇̌̀k̵͓͔̖̟͑̾͘̚?" You think? What is that supposed to mean? You either are or you aren't. "I'm just visiting." I think. "Is Manchester here or...over there?" She asked, pointing a small pale finger in the direction of the houses that lead to infinity a̵̛͖̟̝͖͒͆̕ͅn̵̬̜̱̍d̶̙͖̬̭̣̐̄̄͝ ̸̫̺̃b̴̟̳͖̀̀̀̚ē̴̞̯̱̱̤͇̇̀͂̑ÿ̶͍̜͖̻͈͖̊͑͛̈͝o̸͉̥͙̻̙͑͋̈́̽͠ͅn̴̞̦̗̺̤̎d̸͔̠̳̮͗̔. "I'm from London by the way. Its not as nice as here." What made Manchester (wherever it may be) nicer that London? The most common answer would have been the scenery- but it appeared Xailah didn't care much for the scenery. So if the scenery wasn't the reason, then the reason must be the people. -Or rather person. She liked Meenauh. Sure, she was a new face, but she was a nice new face. Of course Xailah had been warned about talking to strangers but...Meenauh didn't really feel like a stranger.

To Wish Impossible Things
She had eyes of gold. Eyes — infinite, fields. Of gold. Or grey? Or silver? Intriguing.
Any human being can be affected by different sorts of m̸̭̃̐̑͑ư̸̤̎͌́̃̾͐̎t̷͕̪̙̞̫͙̠̃̏̆̀̓a̵͓͖̝̔̇̀t̵͓̉̑i̴̹̳̗͈̹͛̈̇̑̄̾ͅo̷̢̤͙͕̞̻̖͖̒̾͂̽̀̀͋̕͠ǹ̷̨̡̦̼͉̮̦͌͝͝s̴̢̡̨̎̑̐. Some of them affected eyes. But the sort which Meenauh saw was not a regular mutation, but quite a certain mark among wizards.
Dope.
A small dove was conjured out of thin air and Meenauh wondered whether it was herself who summoned it or Xailah.
"You think? You're just visiting... you think?" Meenauh said more to herself than out loud. Or did she say it at all? Anyway, how could a p̸͎̝̌̑e̸̬̹̍r̸̛̤͜s̸̡̨̽̿o̸̢͑n̷̙̔̎ be not sure of where they were currently placed in the whole ẗ̶̟́i̷̦̔͊m̸̥̔̎ę̶̳̿͑ and s̸̡̈̐p̶͓̗̔̕ā̵̡̞c̴̣̈́ȩ̴̃̔?
What surprised Meenauh, even more, was that before being asked of whether that was Manchester, Meenauh was completely sure it was Manchester. But after the question was put forward, her confidence in that knowledge vanished completely.
"I-, mmm, I don't know whether it is Manchester, to be honest," she stuttered and a cold shiver went d̴̻̞̠̻̜̎̅̊̾̆͑o̷͕̖͉̩͎̒̓́̏̉w̵̛̙͍̅̆͜͠n̶̼̳̉̏͆̇͋͜͝ her spine. Now that was scary. Two little girls in a place of complete silence, sitting on an empty playground, with not a single living being in the vicinity, both not knowing what that place was.
She could swear she felt the ground f̷̠͗á̵̢̻̠͖͂̇̔͘̚ḭ̶̡͙̆̓͊̇͝ͅḷ̵̢̖̱̖̙̆͊̔͐̀͝i̶̮̦̘̼̎̐͗̀n̸͙͑ǵ̵̡͎̭͎̩͘. Failing to hold her. With a muffled shriek she sort of jumped and levitated herself on the top beam of the swings, resting calmly on it.
From the books she read, self-levitation was not possible. Yes, others could cast levitation charms at you, but it was tremendously almost impossible to levitate oneself with their own skill.
"What is happening?" she asked herself, but actually, she asked Xailah.
As soon as she asked that question, the reality scrambled itself and she heard a sharp pop sound and then nothing but mere d a r k n e s s.

To Wish Impossible Things

And if your head explodes with dark forebodings too...

You were so small- so frail. Who hurt you? What hurt you? You were so focused on what you were going to be today, that you forgot about what it would turn you into for tomorrow. She closed her eyes, and remained motionless on the swing set. "Then maybe Manchester doesn't ȇ̸̖͚͠x̶̹͒ĭ̶̡s̶̩̠̚͝t̷͎̦̣̓̓ right now." That was a funny thought. Manchester not existing- well not now at least. Sorry, Manchester is away on holiday. Perhaps you would like to check back when it returns? Children say such funny things.
A moment passed, and she felt this feeling of dread creeping her way. Something was wrong. But she could do nothing. Being able to do nothing in a situation where something needs to be done, is one of the worst feelings in the world. She couldn't open her eyes- she didn't want to open her eyes. She heard a scream or at least she thought she heard a scream.
"What is happening?"
As soon as Meenauh asked this; she knew. She knew exactly what was happening. "N-no. Don't leave me. You can't leave me alone." Meenauh was leaving, it was time for her to go- but Xailah didn't want her to go. And no matter how much she pleaded, she could not stop what was happening. So she brought her knees up to her chest, and she cried. Just. Cried. It was the only thing she could do.
She was alone. And boy, did it hurt. She eventually stopped crying, and opened her eyes. She was not at the playground anymore- now she was sitting in a white room, with black curtains where windows should have been. She didn't recognize the room, and it scared her. She scooted, on all fours, into the farthest corner of the room; in an attempt to make herself as small as possible. Her vibrant gold eyes darted around the room. Up ahead there was a flutter- a dove. An enchanting bird, with feathers as white as newly fallen snow. -But wait wasn't there a dove before? Yes. There was, and this was the same dove. And it is being seen at the same time that Meenauh saw it.
The dove flew across the room; before suddenly disappearing into the wall. The wall shook, and then there was a weird sound- it was like...chalk? That was the best way of describing it. Chalk on a wall. The spot where the dove had flown, began to split open. It was a door. There was nothing but darkness in the doorway. No. Wait there is something else. A figure, with a small silver lining around their silhouette. It beckoned to the small trembling child. Xailah needed someone now. So she ran to the being in the doorway, but was stopped before she could go through. Stop. You have to leave those behind. Those? She put her hands in the pockets of her dress. Oh. These. She pulled out the beads that she had found from earlier. "But I don't want to leave them." You don't want to be here. I can tell. Leave them. You can come back for them later. And with that, she let the glowing orbs fall from her hand and onto the white floor. She then stepped through the door. "Are we going home?" A single silvery tear rolled down her pale cheek. No. We are going to what you only know as: Tomorrow.

...I'll see you on the dark side of the moon.
