Away From Home
Today was a big moment for the surviving members of the Wynne family, for a young girl at the age of eleven was leaving to go somewhere magical and far off the course of those who are considered 'normal' and unlike the Wynne family.
This young girl went by the name of Helle Wynne. For her surviving family members (her father and an aunt, a sister of her late mother) are bound to see the young girl leave their care to learn the trade of magic and other magical things.
While it was a wonderful occurrence for her aunt and father, the young girl couldn't say the same thing. She even begged her father to let her go to a Muggle school and live the life of those who are 'normal'. Her father wasn't having it however, saying how she should've been happy to even be able to go off to such a wonderful school. He told her to imagine all the things she could do with magic. Her potions, to be exact, were where it was at for her, seeing her talent in the use of potion making.
Her father even told her of the many jobs and occupations she could be in just for her love, and her talent, in the art of potion making.
The girl (reluctantly) agreed to her father's words, knowing better than to fight against them, for her father may have not have been in the house of Slytherin as a boy, unlike her mother, but he has the tongue of a snake if needed. And young Helle Wynne knew that better than anyone through all the turmoils and blunders she went through with her own father.
Young Helle Wynne never even knew what her mother looked like, and if she was more than some evil witch as Helle heard of her (and read of her in those magical newspapers), and if her mother was more than just what everyone believed her to be. Helle knew to feel guilty about it, but...
She would've liked to have known her mother, even if she was such a witch.
Helle seen pictures of her mother, yes, and even in motion pictures too. Helle remembered a picture on top of the fireplace at home where her mother moved in it along with her father, smiling brightly and eagerly to each other before kissing.
Helle have wondered if such stories of her mother were really true, or if the motion picture itself was true.
Perhaps as she goes along into the wizardly school known as Hogwarts, she could learn more about herself, and maybe even her mother. Her mother did go to Hogwarts along with Helle's father, after all. And while it took a great kick to move Helle forward into Hogwarts, it was the motivation to understand herself truly that kept her going.
And when Helle first stepped along into Hogwarts, she knew of her official goal.
And that goal was to understand herself.
