! Snowball Fight ! Event

Serena, the Hufflepuff Prefect, stood by the entrance to the castle. Her eyes scanned the area. Everything was white as far as her eyes could see. She was smartly dressed in her winter cloak now - you had to be. This was the season for it, after all. Her hands were safely covered in a pair of gloves and her cloak was buttoned shut. She knew what she had to do today... Grabbing her hand tie from her wrist, she quickly put her hair up in a pony tail as she continued to scan the area. Spotting the Groundskeeper, Darren Hurst, on the grounds, the girl grinned. After it had snowed briefly a few weeks ago, Serena had approached the groundskeeper to ask him for permission to do something if it snowed again. He had agreed - and today looked like it was that day.

With a smirk on her face, the young girl reached down and gathered up some snow in her fist. She pressed it down to make a snowball. Tossing the snowball up and down in her hand, "Snowball fight!!!!!" She teased. Within a matter of moments, everyone had quickly started to make snowballs or dodge the incoming attacks. Grinning, Serena threw the first snowball towards the adult who had foolishly agreed to getting involved - Groundskeeper Hurst, "Incoming!" She announced, giving him a warning - mostly because he was older than her so she thought she should be somewhat respectful towards him. Or at least, give him a warning for the first one.

ACTION: Throw snowball at Darren Hurst (1,2,4,5)

Working at the school for almost ten years proved to be fulfilling as he had hoped when he accepted the position. Especially seeing the first years off to the castle for the first time every year. It was like experiencing it all over again alongside them, though he lived there in his cabin and walked the grounds every day. There was still an exciting aspect to his daily tasks and he wouldn't trade his job for the world. Must better than his stuffy, boring office job.

When a young Hufflepuff Prefect had politely asked to start up a snowball fight to include everyone in a little fun and friendly competition, how could he refuse? The warm weather would come soon enough and in his opinion, kids needed to be outside in the fresh air. It wouldn't do for them to be coped up and studying all the time. Seeing that their had been a cold front come in from the north, Darren made his way through the grounds to see if he could spot the girl. Incoming! Before he could react (he wasn't getting any younger), a snowball was heading towards him. He tried his best to dodge out of the way.

ACTION: Evade snowballs (1,3,5,6)

Eris's face molded into a grin, as the hufflepuff prefect screamed out snowball fight and threw a snowball at the poor adult who had somehow agreed to join in on the fight. Eris hadn't meant to join in on the snowball fight, but seeing the two alone in the snow, the red-headed girl dropped to her knees and started to pack snow into a dense ball. Eris had loved snowball fights as a kid, and those were just snowball fights with her sister. Eris couldn't imagine how much fun a snowball fight at a magical school with a lot of people would be.

Once she was satisfied with the ball of snow in her hand, Eris turned towards her two targets. Serena seemed busy, as she had just thrown a snowball of her own. Slowly, Eris edged forward, creeping up on the taller hufflepuff prefect, than paused. What if she took points away from gryffindor? Eris turned towards the groundskeeper and started to throw her snowball.

About to throw, Eris stopped and turned towards Serena. It wasn't her fault if the girl took points away. She'd make sure to peg her again if gyffindor lost any points. Quickly, Eris threw the snowball at Serena.

James stood still in the cold breeze that had come to the school grounds. James smiled, remembering his childhood memories where he played in the snow nearby his family's house in Scotland. James paced around the fields, looking at the waters which were now frozen over. James looked around, and heard a Hufflepuff girl, who from her badge seemed to be a prefect, shouted a large war cry for a snowball fight. James quickly became slightly annoyed, thinking of the chaos the grounds would be put in. But, maybe a snowball fight wouldn't be so bad, he thought to himself.  James looked at the ground, and pulling the hood of his winter coat up, he grabbed a small clump of snow and began to roll it into a ball.

He placed the ball into his right glove, looking around at the students to see which one would make a good target. There were three of them now: the grounds keeper, a Hufflepuff girl, and a Gryffindor, all of which were occupied with their own thing. James quickly thought that the Gryffindor, who'd been in the middle of throwing a snowball, would be the best target for his scheme.

James began to wind up the ball, swinging it behind him. In one moment, James had released the ball from his hand, sending it to hurl itself towards the Gryffindor. James, immediately regretting what he just pulled himself into, shouted: "WATCH OUT." The ball, unfortunately, was already heading toward its victim. So know James could only watch.

ACTION: Throw a snowball at Eris Elcan (0,2,4,6)

Ezekiel stepped out into the grounds with Lucette following out behind him. They had been hanging out more since Krez and the library incident. She was looking after him in a sense, making sure he didn't do anything stupid to put himself back into the hospital wing. Right as Ezekiel stepped outside behind Serena scream snowball fight, he stopped and looked around. Serena had thrown it towards Darren, and it wouldn't be fair to hit her from behind form this close. "You join Eris in covering us. I'll grab Rose and start the fort. See you on the other side~" Lucette muttered to him quickly. As Ezekiel rushed out to pelt others, she grabbed Roseline and pulled her along, careful not to be so forceful. The snow beneath her boots crunched, loudly protesting her quick movements. He grinned and formed a snowball, throwing it down towards a Ravenclaw boy.

Ezekiel ran out into the snow, semi leaving Lucette behind as he ducked behind a snow drift. He needed to build some sort of protection, there was nowhere to hide along the grounds, it was all open area. He gestured to Lucette to join him while making another snowball in preparation for throwing it at someone else.

ACTION: Throw Snowball at James Henderson (1, 2, 3, 6)

Ava walked out to the grounds to see not only a blizzard but also a snowball fight.

'A snowball fight?' she thought. 'Well, all of you better watch out.'

 She smirked and ran towards Eris. She saw the girl before a couple times so her face lit up immediately. She ran up to the girl and tapped her on the shoulder?

"Hey," the girl said, a bit tired from running in the snow. "Team?" she asked with a small smirk and backed away a couple of inches, in case the girl is not going to play in teams.  The girl looked around. One Slytherin which is obviously her, one Gryffindor who is Eris, one Hufflepuff whose name she did not know, and... an adult? One of the professors? She did not see him before.

She went through her memory to search for anything her sister or father may have told her about the gentleman. Right, from letters that she received from her sister when she was in Hogwarts it was the groundskeeper. She smirked.

Ava bent over and gathered a couple of snowballs. It was better to get as much as she could before the snow would melt. The girl looked around again and saw Serena throwing snowballs at the old man. Soon after, Eris has thrown a snowball at Serena.

'Ok then.' she smiled and took one snowball, looking at Eris.

"So?" the girl asked again "Team?"

As she said those words, someone has thrown a snowball at Eris. 'Oh no, you are not going to mess with my friends!' she thought and threw a snowball back towards the Ravenclaw. 

ACTION: Throw snowball at James Henderson (4,3,2,1)

What an opportunity it was to be playing in a snowball fight with the entire school. Bloom had heard about it in a flyer that was placed on her bulletin in the Ravenclaw tower, and thought it apropos to give it a shot herself. Growing up, she was never really in the snow. Her parents were hot weathered people and anytime snow came into contact, they would find ways to be away from it. The thought to have for the first time, the ability to be in the cold really excited Bloom.

Walking to the grounds, she saw a group of people already playing. Should she jump in and just throw a snowball? She had no idea. All she knew was that she wanted to play. Grabbing a bunch of snow in her mittened hands, she began to form a ball. Who should I get? she asked, looking around. She saw a couple Slytherin's, a Gryffindor and a fellow Ravenclaw that were battling.

Deciding that the Ravenclaw was perhaps on her team, she eyed the Slytherin girl who seemed to be aiming her snowball towards the other Ravenclaw. Bloom felt like she would be a good target. Rounding her snowball some more, she aimed her snowball the best she could and threw it towards Ava Silvers.

ACTION: Throw snowball at Ava Silvers (1,3,5,6)

She stepped out onto the grounds, instantly noticing Roseline and Eris. She hadn't known them for long, but their small interactions in class made her heart soar. She never knew that feeling wanted felt so... good. It was unreal, the fact that she had people who willingly wanted to be around her. She let her lips part into a timid smile. Maybe Pete was right. Snapping back to reality, she looked over at her partner in crime, Ezekiel, muttering something to him with quick words. "You join Eris in covering us. I'll grab Rose and start the fort. See you on the other side~" As he rushed out to pelt others, she grabbed Roseline and pulled her along, careful not to be so forceful with her friend. The snow beneath her boots crunched, loudly protesting her quick movements as the two girls hurried along. 

The piercing afternoon wind whistled through her ears, her ears slowly turning a redder shade from the cold, but that wasn't on her mind now. The fort was number one priority, along with protecting Rose. For a split second, her eyes cast to the side, watching as Ava hurried up to Eris and joined the ranks. She smirked. They were going to be unstoppable. Finding a proper spot, she skidded to a stop, her Slytherin scarf whipping wildly around her body. She turned to Roseline, grinning. "Here's perfect." She dropped to the floor, her green gloves moving quickly to scoop and pile up snow for the foundation of their fort. All the while, her eyes focused on the other people out on the field, evading when she could. 

ACTION: Evade Snowballs (2,4,5,6)

Clary exited the castle, stepping down onto the school grounds, as she had a break from class. The Ravenclaw First Year was in need of some fresh air, but as soon as she stepped into the outdoors, she felt a frigid gust of wind slap into her face. She suppressed the urge to gasp at the gorgeous sight. All around her, the grounds were blanketed in a soft coating of white, fluffy snowflakes, and the world had turned into a winter wonderland. This was a rare occurrence, considering how late they were in March, and Clary felt a slight smile tug on the edge of her lips, eager to go play.

Up ahead, she spotted a small group of students in the clearing, seemingly dancing around the snow as they laughed and yelled at one another. As Clary continued to approach, her eyes widened in excitement, realizing they were participating in some sort of game. "Is this a snowball fight?" She yelled out to no one in particular, her tone hinting at an amused surprise. Her gaze flitted around to each of the students' faces, trying to target anyone she recognized. Up ahead to her left, James was attempting to throw a snowball at the Gryffindor First Year with fiery red hair who Clary recognized to be Eris Elcan. However, a Slytherin First Year she didn't recognize was also making target in James' direction, yet Bloom had already prepared revenge. Deciding to have a little bit of fun with her prefect and fellow writer for the Ravenclaw newspaper, Clary bent down, scooping up a handful of the fluffy white snow, and packed it into a circular ball before aiming in Bloom's direction.
