Michelle walked slowly, taking in all the sights and smells, to a clear spot on the grass and laid down a small quilt and her school supplies. She absolutely loved the fresh air and sat for a while with her eyes closed just breathing it in. In London she didn't get much fresh air, well that's not exactly true, of course, she could go outside and get less stuffy air but she had never smelt air so clean and fresh as the air surrounding Hogwarts.

Michelle opened her eyes and admired the sky, it was almost clear and a soft blue, she loved it. She loved watching the clouds float by and putting names to its shapes, it reminded her of times she would play with her brothers when they were all younger. They would play for hours, tag, hide and seek, duck-duck-goose, and when they got tired they would fall to the ground and name the clouds until they weren't tired anymore.

Michelle missed her family greatly and it was the only thing that bummed her out, they could never see Hogwarts and her brothers couldn't practice magic, so now she felt she was different and isolated from them. They all used to get everything the other was saying, joke or not, but now they had no idea about this huge part of her life and would never get the wizard oriented jokes. It kinda made her sad.

Michelle sighed and shook the thoughts from her head. "There will be no sad thoughts when in the most magical place on earth." her mother had said to her, of course, this was about when she was sad at Disneyland but she supposed it worked here too. She got out her parchment and ink and began to work on her assignments.

Quinn had always loved the innate mystery and wonder of the world. Most likely being do to the fact of his naturally curious nature. A nature that lead him to question nearly everything, always asking why and how. As he walked the grounds he closed his eyes listening carefully to the sounds of the place, trying to take in all the different and new smells, enjoying this new environment. Firmly Quinn kept his "History of Magic" book clutched close to his body.

It was times like these that reminded him of the family vacations he, his parents, and baby sisters would take to their grandparents cottage in the countryside. It was so beautiful the cottage that was nestled relatively close to the seaside cliffs. At night he remembered they would all go out and stargaze sitting near the cliffs edge where they could see the vastness of the ocean, seeming infinite expanse of stars above them.

He remembered all the questions he would have and how his parents seemingly had an answer for everyone. Quinn also remembered the time attempted to climb down the cliff to investigate a small depression in the cliff face that looked like a cave. That was right before his grandparents stopped him and then promptly proceeded to scold him for his reckless decision.

How I miss them, I know they're proud and they understand but I truly miss them. Quinn thought lost in his memories and contemplation. "Well nothing you can do about it now, but try to make the be-" CRASH. Before he could even finish his own attempt to cheer himself up Quinn tripped over something and fell face first into the ground. "OOOOOW!" He groaned laying there for a moment wondering what he tripped over.

As Quinn began to get up slowly rubbing his hurting face. "Ow...What did I trip over?" He turned his head to notice a girl with light brown hair rather close to him. "Oh...Oh I'm so sorry I wasn't paying attention"

Michelle focused deep into her work and she hadn't heard nor noticed someone coming towards her, headed right for her leg she had stuck out to lay her homework on. She saw the boy tumble forward and into the ground, she quickly crossed her legs and leaned to see if he was alright. " Are you okay? I didn't mean..." she trailed off not mentioning it had been her legs he tripped over. The boy had curly red hair and green eyes, kind of like lime jelly beans? Only a little less bright green.

Michelle laid down her homework and got to her knees so she could collect some of his things, she spotted a History of Magic book. "Cool book, were you going to do homework or something?" she inquired she had met a few people who liked to read the textbooks for fun but wanted to know for sure. She sighed and handed him his stuff before sitting back on her blanket and grabbing her parchment and ink. "I'm Michelle by the way, sorry again for tripping you." she had forgotten she hadn't confessed to the tripping before but it seemed almost implied that it had been her fault.

" Are you okay? I didn't mean..." He heard the girl say. "Y-Yeah I'll be fine just a bit embarrassed is all. I'm sorry for messing up your area I just got a little distracted." Quinn promptly apologized now taking a good gander at her area. Various books as well as parchment and ink were laid out before her. "Oh what homework are you working on if you don't mind me asking?"

"Cool book, were you going to do homework or something?" He heard her ask after he sat up and asked his question. Quinn sighed turning around to face her and sat down on his rump dusting himself off after he received his book back. "Oh thanks, and I'm just reading this book for fun it's quite a fascinating read, but I won't bore you with it I know most people find my ramblings quite...off putting. I mean yeah I know sometimes it can be annoying but history is important you know and boy is magical history fascinating. Yet even with all that we know about magic there are still quite the many mysteries. Is quite fascinating indeed!" He continued beginning to go into one of his rambles.

Quinn flushed softly realizing what he was doing and quickly stopped. "S-Sorry about that I started to ramble again."

"I'm Michelle by the way, sorry again for tripping you." She had said introducing herself. "Oh nice to meet you Michelle. The names Quinn Healy." He smiled laughing. "It's a bit of a strange name I know, but we Healy's are nothing if not modest."

"Y-Yeah I'll be fine just a bit embarrassed is all. I'm sorry for messing up your area I just got a little distracted." The boy she tripped answered while apologizing for the mess that was already there, he must have thought it was him. She smiled and chuckled a little. "It's alright it was messy before you got here."
"Oh, what homework are you working on if you don't mind me asking?" The red-head asked, she looked down at her parchment and sighed.
"Defense against the dark arts, it's definitely stumping me." she frowned at the tough homework and then asked about the boy's book.
"I'm just reading this book for fun it's quite a fascinating read, but I won't bore you with it I know most people find my ramblings quite...off-putting. I mean yeah I know sometimes it can be annoying but history is important you know..." the boy continued to ramble despite saying he wouldn't ramble and she laughed on the inside while nodding along with his words. She watched his face flush and her smile grew wider, it was so interesting to watch people catch there own quirks, they always got flustered and shy.

After his ramble Michelle smiled and introduced herself and the boy did it back, his name was Quinn Healy. That is a strange name, she thought to herself right before the boy confessed it himself. "It's a bit of a strange name I know, but we Healy's are nothing if not modest." She laughed lightly.

"So Quinn Healy what are you doing out here?" she inquired. It was common for students to study out in the grounds but she wondered if it maybe this time was different.

Quinn couldn't help but chuckle after hearing what she had to say about the mess already being there. "Oh well in that case I see, and Defense Against the Dark Arts. Well what has you so stumped maybe I can help?" He had suggested hoping he could be of at least a little help. "I haven't read too much of the book yet but I think I get some of the basic concepts pretty well so I might be able to help you a bit at least. Again that's if you want/"

"So Quinn Healy what are you doing out here?" Quinn heard her inquire. "Oh that, well honestly I was just exploring and looking for a good spot to read this book some more. If you couldn't tell I was a bit lost in my own thoughts when I tripped rather rudely over your things."

"I mean I knew this place was a huge, but even still it's size amazes me and the surroundings are just...wondrous. Truthfully I kind of forgot about my book for a bit and got carried away with exploring the grounds" He laughed rubbing the back of his neck admittedly embarrassed. "But hey as a result I ran into a new possible friend so this day can't be all bad!" He cheerfully exclaimed rather happy with himself.

"Oh well in that case I see, and Defense Against the Dark Arts. Well, what has you so stumped, maybe I can help?" Michelle thought it over while he continued talking and nodded. She grabbed her parchment to look over the questions. "Okay, so I have to write a 100-word essay involving Imps with the theme of "frustration". But I have no idea what Imps are..." she looked at him expectantly to see if he could help. Growing up in a Muggle family was not helping her with her studies.

"Oh that, well honestly I was just exploring and looking for a good spot to read this book some more. Truthfully I kind of forgot about my book for a bit and got carried away with exploring the grounds" she laughed, she too had gotten caught up in the exploring, one time she stayed out exploring the castle all night, not realizing she had been out until morning. She probably should have considering she almost ran into 4 teachers."But hey, as a result, I ran into a new possible friend so this day can't be all bad." She smiled, it was cool that he thought they could be friends she needed more of those.

"Okay, so I have to write a 100-word essay involving Imps with the theme of "frustration". But I have no idea what Imps are..." He thought for a moment trying to remember what his grandparents used to tell him. "Well let's see an imp...Ah now I remember annoying little things they are."

Quinn rubbed his head for a moment trying to think of how best he could explain it to here. "Well let's see from what my Daideó would tell me and from what I've read. Imps are small creatures about the same size as pixies I think, except they don't fly." He moves his hands about 6 inches apart to illustrate their size. "As for why they are knowing they really like um...what was it called again...um..uh...oh! slapstick humor."

He smiled to himself, "You know the kind of humor that involves physical harm. Well I mean they get laughs out of tripping people, pushing them, or throwing small things at them. They can be qui-" Quinn stopped realizing he may have been going too fast. "Oh I'm so sorry Michelle, do you need me to repeat anything?"

Internally Quinn facepalmed, Come on Quinn you know you have to stop getting ahead of yourself and pace yourself. He thought to himself, hoping she didn't think he was too weird. Quinn knew full well how overbearing or 'too much' he could be for people at times.
