Tremaine was going to find a hippogriff. He was pretty sure that Professor Griffith had a few in his stables, but Tremaine had been unable to bring himself to sneak into the stables - or even just ask Professor Griffith. Not that he was afraid of him. He just... didn't feel like it.
But this wasn't too much of a setback for Tremaine. He knew there must be a few in the Forbidden Forest, and therefore some must wander out once in a while. Tremaine had decided to stake out and see if he could catch a glimpse of one.
And so here he was, decked out in his winter cloak, shivering as he crouched in the bushes near the Forbidden Forest and waited to see if a hippogriff would show up. It wasn't the most productive plan but hey, it might just work. Unfortunately, all he had seen was a couple of squirrels and a positively grumpy-looking Professor Griffith, whom he had hidden from - not that he was afraid.
Things were looking pretty hopeless for Tremaine. He finally stood, stretching out his aching back, and started back down the path he had plowed in coming here. Walking across the grounds, he saw several students playing muggle sports, huddled together, or otherwise having fun in groups. Tremaine sighed. Monster-hunting, while a noble pursuit, was lonely.

Eri had her normal attire of a green leather jacket with a white tee underneath and back ripped jeans and black hightop shoes. Her dyed hair hung loosely above her shoulders and her silver eyes stared at her sketchbook with pure concentration. Sure she should probably be hanging out with people, but she has closed herself off from people in fear that if they get to close she will lose them. So she spent her time drawing. She wouldn't admit it, hit she was pretty good. Right now she was sketching a very realistic looking tree with the moon shining in between the branches.

The cold air seemed to bite her skin, but to no prevail did she feel it. Her concentration was to high to realize she was freezing. Her skin was read and everything but her drawing had was shivering, but she seemed to not notice. Eri was probably just cold because she was just sitting still. Maybe she needed to move around. She was unaware that a boy was walking close to her 'hiding' spot. The ravenclaw was sitting halfway visible behind a big rock. Maybe he would see her and maybe he wouldn't, but she was almost done with her sketch.

Tremaine had never been one for taking the easy route, a trait exhibited by his tendency to plow through the underbrush rather than take the clear, though admittedly longer, path to the castle. The bottom of his cloak was commonly muddied and wet by the time he got back to the Gryffindor Common Room. Rubbing his hands together to keep them warm, Tremaine pushed past a rather large bush that was in his way. He could see a girl sitting a bit away, sketching in a sketchbook. This seemed a common pastime for many girls at Hogwarts, as far as he could tell. He was curious as to what she was drawing, but he was far too polite to just look over her shoulder. It might be private, or she might just not like random boy silently walking up and looking at her work.

Having been raised in a good and proper family, he didn't think twice about introducing himself. He stepped forward, trying to make it relatively loud so she wouldn't be scared when he started to speak, he tugged his winter cloak tighter around himself and said, "Hello. What are you drawing there?"

It seemed like a relatively good icebreaker to him, unless she really didn't want to show him. If she did, he could simply compliment her on her artistic skill, making her feel more comfortable, and then introduce himself. She seemed a bit older than him and, to be honest, looked a little intimidating, but he was a Gryffindor, unafraid of everything. Including, he reminded himself, glancing back at the stone stables, Professor Griffith.

Eri almost jumped hearing someone speak to her. Casually she glanced up at him. Her silver eyes looking him over. "Urm I'm drawing a tree with the moon shining in between the branches." Reluctantly Eri showed him the page. Her colors blended neatly and it looked pretty realistic, though she had drawn for years and prefected each drawing skill daily hoping to make her art better and better each time.

Quickly closing the book and stuffing all of her drawing utensils, the Ravenclaw shoved the materials into her army green satchel and stood up. She crossed her arms showing that she didn't want to share much and she was a bit closed off. Though that was a bit hard for her too do.

Eri kind of wished she had brought something warmer than her leather jacket and ripped jeans, but she would be fine. It was just the cold weather, nothing a little movement couldn't fix. Hopefully this boy wouldn't introduce him self and she could just bolt away towards a hidng place. She really didn't want to have to talk, but on the other hand Eri could use some company. Her brothers told her she needed to get out of her closed off shell and make some friends again.

The girl hardly seemed surprised by Tremaine's appearance, as if she had been expecting it. Her eyes were silver, and Tremaine couldn't help staring at them, his head titled slightly to the side. How did everyone have such incredibly interesting hair and eye colors in this school? Well, some of them probably wore contacts, and most of them probably dyed their hair. This girl most likely dyed her hair, as Tremaine couldn't imagine the brown-white gradient being natural.

She replied to his question, telling him that she was drawing. She showed him the artwork and he raised his eyebrows, impressed. It was a beautiful piece of art, nicely blended and perfectly colored. "That's beautiful," Tremaine complimented as the girl stuffed everything back into her bag, standing up.

Noticing the girl's slightly red nose and the steam coming fro her mouth, Tremaine pulled off his cloak and, without a second thought, offered it up to the girl. "Here. It's cold outside." He gave her a crooked smile and continued, "By the way, I'm Jarrow, Tremaine Jarrow." He knew some pure-bloods had heard of his family, who had once been very influential in the Ministry and were now practically unknown.

"Your name?"

Eri smiled when he said her art was beautiful. Though she didn't really show people her sketches or drawings much. "Thank you." The brunette said to him with a little blush on her cheeks from embarrassment for she wasn't used to the compliments. Maybe some day she would get used to it.

With a confused expression the Ravenclaw looked at him as he took of his cloak and offered it to her. She was about to refuse and tell him that he would get cold without it, but he continued talking as if to signal he wouldn't take no as an answer. Then she put on the cloak. "Thank you, but if you get cold I'm giving it back." Jarrow. That rung a bell. Her aunt had taught her a lot about the ministry's past and she was pretty sure that they had some sort of influence over the ministry awhile ago.

"It's Windstone, Eri Windstone." Her last name was pretty well known. Both of her parents were famous daily prophet journalists. Though they are never home so that's why Eri and her two older brothers live with their aunt. Though her parents were the only journalists for the daily prophet from their family name since they moved here from Ukraine so that all three kids could go to Hogwarts.
