The Undelightful Run in PV Landon Riley Finished

It was a warm Saturday afternoon. Dressed in her usually black drawstring hoodie, White jeans, and grey high top sneakers. Her brown hair was left down as she looked around the grounds. Her emrald green eyes sparkled with frustration. Earlier that's day she found out that she had ad spilled in late all over her homework and had to redo it all. That wasn't like at lead time two day she worth of homework. She kicked the ground in frustration as she walked over to a tree and kicked it with her left foot as hard as she could.

The brunette sat her satchel down as she looked around then kicked the tree again. She breathed deep breaths trying to calm down, but her face was getting redder as she reminded herself she would have to redo lots of homework. A long frustrated sigh came from her mouth as she looked around deciding she would probably need to get back to work soon.

This wasn't the first time Eri had spilled her ink, but it was the first time she would have to redo a lot of home work and she didn't want to have to redo all of that work.

Today, Landon was feeling especially mischievous. He roamed the grounds, finding a girl sitting under a tree, wearing a drawstring hoodie and jeans despite the warm temperature. As for himself, Landon was wearing a plain white tee shirt with a flannel, the sleeves rolled up above his elbows, with some nice black shorts and Vans shoes.

Upon getting closer to her, while still trying to appear like he was just wandering, Landon noticed the ink spilled all over her papers. He tried to hold back his sarcastic and obnoxious comment, as he normally tried to be sweet around girls, especially older ones, but just couldn't. The temptation was overwhelming.

"What, did the giant squid from the Great Lake squirt ink all over your assignment? Because if it did, you might want to watch out, I've heard that thing is quite dangerous."

He smirked at her, watching with glee as she became obviously even more frustrated than she already had been, what with the events of the day.

"Here, let me take a look at that," he said with a sly and mischevious grin on his face, snatching the ink covered parchment away.

"Hmm, mandrake repotting? Too bad all your work has been covered by the ink, I'm sure you did great at that enlightening topic."

Eri heard a voice behind her and turned her head. "Excuse me the giant squid did not do this. My ink bottle spilled in my bag." She said trying to keep her cool. "And I can protect myself so don't worry. It's probably not that dangerous." Her cheeks were turning red.

The brunette stood up glaring at the taller boy with her emerald green eyes. "Give me my paper please. You don't want to mess with me. " She popped her knuckles. She was ready to move if he tried something.

The Ravenclaw eyed her paper warily hoping that he wouldn't rip it. Some of the words were still readable. And she wanted to not have to find all of that information in her book again. It took forever.

She wiped a strand of her hair out of her face watching him. Even though she was older he was still taller and looked stronger, but she was quick on her feet and would probably be very easy to step away from him if he tried something, though she wasn't sure how fast he was so she wasn't going to underestimate him.

"Look, just give my paper and nobody has to get hurt."

Landon was quite enjoying this, especially because of how fiesty the girl was.

"Hey hey hey, slow down there. Why is anybody getting hurt?" he smirked again. "And yeah, maybe you can protect yourself, but I'd like to see you try against something that's twice your size, plus the tentacles and suckers and rather sharp beak. If you're so eager to demonstrate your fighting abilities, though, don't let me stop you. That creature is in there somewhere," he motioned towards the lake behind him.

He noticed her popping her knuckles. Classic body language for throwing a punch.

"You can punch me all you want, cupcake, I'll take it. But I won't punch back because you aren't supposed to hit girls," he winked, mumbling under his breath, "Not sure why though, but I'll be as gentleman-like as I can..."

He set his bag down and ran a hand through his hair, messily, the way he always did out of habit. A smirk was plastered on his face, which he knew was probably soon going to be dripping blood from a blow to the nose. He didn't care though, he'd been through worse than being punched. The months of being pricked and prodded and cut open and examined... nothing could beat that. Shaking the traumatic memories out of his head, he looked her straight in the eyes, glaring as if to say, go ahead, come at me. Let's see what you got.

Eri looked at him. She wasn't going to go jump in the lake to go fight the squid. So she just shrugged. "Not going to happen. I'm not exactly wearing the right clothes to get wet." She wiped some hair out of her face.

"It doesn't say anything about you npt being able to punch a girl if the give you permission Plus self defense. You can hit back if you are just protecting yourself." She thought that rule was dumb. She popped her neck and got in a good stance to attack and evade. "Don't call me cupcake. I don't like that. My name is Eri."

The brunette returned the glare and smiled. She was a lot better at fighting with her fists than people think.

Eri's fist flew straight into his nose causing a cracking sound and blood to start coming out of his nose. She was ready to dodge any attack he may do, but given how he brought that rule up she wasn't sure he would attack back. And she would probably get in trouble if he told someone that she just punched him in the face. It probably didn't hurt him maybe just stung but she did just brake his nose.

Landon was always the one starting and getting into fights at school.

So, being punched in the nose was no new experience from him, in fact that bone had been broken several times before. He wiped the blood off of his face, looking the girl in the eyes.

"I'm Landon, by the way. Nice to meet you." With a fake smile, he walked away, acting defeated.

Secretly, he was smiling. He had gotten away with her ink spilled parchment, and she wouldn't be getting that back any time soon. He might just be able to get the answers out of it if he looked hard enough. Though, as he continued to walk to the hospital wing, needing to get his nose mended, he realized that he had been a bit rude and jerky. Resolving to apologize as soon as possible, he thought about all the regrets he had about his behavior.

See, Landon wasn't a jerk intentionally. It was just that ever since his brother died, the sane one, the angel to his devil, the one who balanced everything out and kept Landon kind, ever since he died... Landon felt like he was missing all the good parts of himself.

He just needed someone to keep him in check.

"I'm Eri." That was the weirdest time she has every heard anyone introduce themselves. He wiped some of the blood away and started to walk away. Feeling like she scared him there was a smile on her face. But it wasn't there very long.As he walked away she spotted her parchment in his hand and silently cursed herself for being so dumb. The brunette walked over to the tree, grabbed her bag, and started to run after him.

Once the Ravenclaw had caught up to him she walked next to him. "You have two options. Either give me my paper back or I'll just have to get it myself." She said plainly. Though she probably needed to go with him to the hospital wing. She was the one who broke his nose in the first place. "Hey, um about your nose, I guess I'm sorry." She said hopefully he wouldn't tell her to leave him since he had her paper she needed it. But why would he want her paper its for year two he is a first year? And there is in all over it so it's kind of really hard to read or make out the some of the words.

Anastasia had been starting to struggle with keeping her perfect grades up and having to patrol as a prefect. It was tough to balance, but then she’d decided she’d try studying while she patrolled. Since she had yet to actually catch someone doing something wrong, she figured she could just use the time to work on homework and it wouldn’t hurt anything.

That was what she had occupied herself with at the moment - homework. She was nearly done with her History of Magic essay, and after that, the only thing she had left was Astronomy. She’d saved that for last simply because she found it the most labor intensive. She glanced up from her homework and saw two other students arguing. She couldn't tell what it was about, but she could definitely tell that the dark-haired girl was rather irritated at the boy. She began to put her things away when the girl punched the boy in the face.

Anastasia's stomach turned when she saw blood flow from the boy's nose. She did not do well with blood, but she supposed there wasn't much she could do now. She was going to have to do something since that was literally her job as a prefect, no matter how new to it she might be.

She stood and began to walk towards the two students. As she got closer, she could tell the girl was a second year. That was just great. She also recognized the bloody boy from a few days ago. Just great...

"What on Earth are you doing?" Anastasia demanded once she reached them, her voice firm and authoritative. "Do you make a habit of punching first years? Your head of house is going to hear about this.

She was rather angry now that she thought about it. Who just went around punching people? Anastasia had a rather long list of people that she'd like to punch, but it didn't mean she actually did it. "I'll see you in the History of Magic classroom bright and early tomorrow morning. If you don't, your punishment will be far less enjoyable than a day of detention. Are we clear?" Anastasia said, her dark eyes flashing. So what if this girl was a second year? That didn't give her a right to behave like this.

You both may post on more time in reaction to Anastasia. After this the thread will be closed. I will owl Miss Windstone about this and give her  details about the detention thread. Until the detention is completed, she aren't allowed to post anywhere else.

Long story short, I survived
