The girl didn't expect her day to be so... unplanned. She had Herbology just now, after struggling her way through Transfiguration, and now she was walking around the Grounds to keep her head on straight. She hadn't been through much, but awaiting her reply from her family to her letter and failing terribly at Transfiguration had kept her anxiety, and mind, running wild. The last thing she wanted to do was be alone. Yet, here she was, walking about the Grounds. Alone.
A sigh escaped her pink lips, which had been recently moistened by her tongue. She couldn't get out of her mind, and honestly, that was bothering her the most. What if next year, she's still stuck in Transfiguration? Well, she'd hope not, considering she has a study group now. Then again, you could never be so sure. Felicity stopped walking and turned in her spot, looking out at the shimmering lake, which was about a mile away from her. She had walked a bit of ways away from her Herbology class by now. She must have lost track of where, exactly, she was heading.
Before the girl had a chance to turn around, she felt herself becoming dizzy. She took her head in her hands, furrowing her eyebrows together. She was certain that nothing was wrong with her - she was perfectly healthy, as far as she knew! But her body just wasn't agreeing with her. The girl dropped to the soil beneath her, her vision (haha, get it?) completely leaving her, and drifting off into what would later seem like a dream...
She stood in the middle of a room, with a large object in front of her, covered by a piece of fabric. What is this? She wondered, realizing that she was in total control of her vision. She reached forwards, her hand grasping on to the fabric. With one swift motion, she was able to pull it off of the object, revealing a beautiful mirror; if not a little foggy.
In the mirror, she stood, with the fabric still in her hand. She wasn't in her Ravenclaw robes, though. Instead, a Ministry uniform made her look authoritative, and she was much.. older than she remembered. Her blonde hair was pulled up in to a tight bun, and she was holding on to a piece of parchment instead of the fabric that she was truly holding, showing it to Felicity. Reading the words, the girl was surprised to learn that she had made a spell. Created one, to help the development of the wizarding world.
Shocked, she dropped the fabric, thus ending the vision.

Reid's hands came up to rub his tired eyes, which did nothing but further sore them. It peeved him to no end but he found some solace that he was out of eyeshot. He brought the hem of his shirt up to his face to rub out whatever was bothering him so much. His furious trek all the while was halted when he heard a soft thud on the soft earth nearby. His shirt was torn from his visage, glancing about a few times till he spotted a foot. Whoever it belonged to was being blocked by a tree, which further made him simply think of the worst scenario. "Bloody hell ..."
Was it a corpse? Did he just witness a murder? His imagination reeled itself in as he stepped a little closer with a better angle only to see it was just a fallen student. The boy felt his thunderous heart relax at the sight, it wasn't someone who just perished. But no one lays in that odd position and it made him think that she most likely just passed out. "Hello?" Seemingly no response, he approached the fallen student to check on her status.
The closer he got, he noticed it was a Ravenclaw girl, it seemed all the people he's met were Ravenclaws. Aside from what looked like a peaceful nap, Reid came upon her to shake her shoulder carefully. "It's not a place I'd pass out in, neither in that position, but ..." He didn't see any blood, which was a great sign for him and for her as well. She definitely wasn't dead, she was breathing after all.
After a good few seconds of shaking, he pulled his hand away and slipped his house robe off. Was it weird to cover her? It was pretty chilly to just have her laying in the dirt. Reid frowned, ignoring his worries for now and draped it over the Ravenclaw girl. He was going to go get a Professor, however it was quite a trek back to the castle - perhaps he should simply stay.
Yet he turned his wrist to look at his clock, making sure he wouldn't be late for supper. He glanced at the girl again and slipped his black cardigan to fold it up. Reid carefully stuffed it under the girl's head, seeing as she didn't even seem like she'd wake up any time soon. He grabbed his charms book from what he was carrying and rolled up his sleeves. After flipping to some pages, he began to read quietly to himself as he waited for the girl to wake up. Besides, he had a charms test tomorrow to do.

Fifteen minutes later, the blonde girl awoke with a gasp, immediately pulling herself up to a sitting position, heaving air in. A spectator would have thought that she had awoken from a nightmare - but, oh, no, that dream was so much more real. How would she know if it was real, though? And that's just the fact - she wouldn't. As far as she knew, she could have been dehydrated and passed out. Yet, that would make no sense, considering she gulped down water by the gallon.
The first thing that Felicity noticed was the Hufflepuff robe that was now in her lap, the emblem sticking out like a sore thumb to her. Just who's robe was it? She took a look around herself, her eyes landing on a boy sitting near her. She furrowed her eyebrows slightly, not able to recognize him. Then again, the only people she spoke to so far outside of her house had been Luella, a Slytherin girl, and then Serena, a Hufflepuff. She didn't count her twin sister in the list.
"Er, would you happen to know what, exactly - um.. happened?" She asked after a few moments of stunned silence. She knew what happened - She saw herself holding up parchment confirming that she had invented a new spell - but she wanted to know what had really happened while she was unconscious. Did she just fall? Probably. She was in the same spot she remembered. How long had it been? It only felt like three minutes, maybe. It couldn't possibly be longer than that. The sun was still setting!
"And do you have the time?" She added on, making sure she got out the question she really needed to know. Her eyes trailed down from the brown-haired boy's face to his yellow and black tie, shockingly realizing that it was probably his robe on her! She blushed profusely, neatly picking up the robe as not to wrinkle it, though doubtful that would happen, and passed it over his way, "This must be yours.. I'm not exactly a Hufflepuff." She joked lightly, gesturing to her own robes and tie, which contained the Ravenclaw blue and black.

Reid had nearly dropped his Charms book when he heard the girl wake up rather loudly. His hand came up to rub his brows as he closed his book, using his wand as a stopper. What happened to her? She seemed like she just woke up from a nightmare, at least she wasn't screaming to the high heavens. He would've started screaming too probably, he was startled enough as is. "It's uh ..." He glanced at his watch, taking a few seconds to actually read the broken face.
"Nearly six, you've been out for almost fifteen minutes I think." Reid replied, turning himself to face the girl. He flashed her a small smile as he took the garments back from her, it was put to good use. The young man pulled the Hufflepuff cardigan over himself, slightly messing up his hair in the process. "I was just walking across the Grounds when I heard - - a 'thud' or something. You were just lying there and I wasn't sure if you fell or something, but you were out quite heavily."
He placed the house robe beside him and placed his book atop of it, he'd finish it when he got back to his dorm tonight. However he wanted to make sure that she was fine on her own, what if she fainted again on her way back? His concern was a general concern for anyone and out of courtesy in his given nature. Perhaps this was why he was sorted into Hufflepuff, yet he didn't make it anything more than simple human decency. His thumb brushed his brow, lightly frowning as his curiosity was getting the best of him.
"Did you not sleep enough?" His general assumptions that Ravenclaws simply studied to the point of where they probably couldn't see straight. It was either they were in class or a study group of some sort. It wasn't a knock against the group, yet he couldn't help but get concerned with the obsessiveness that some of the Ravenclaws he's seen already. There was quite a voracious thirst for knowledge that might've claimed this student. Yet from the looks of it, her books weren't even open. So he deduced that probably wasn't the case.

A sigh escaped her lips, and she shook her head slightly, slipping her hand into her robe's pocket to make sure her wand was alright. Thankfully, it was. She wouldn't have been able to live with herself if she broke it. Then she would have to somehow get it repaired! She doubted that that was easy. On the other hand, she had been passed out for far longer than she had assumed, and she was definitely going to be late to dinner in the Great Hall now. Was there even really a point in going? Well, her stomach didn't give her any input, so she might as well stray away from crowds for now. Especially if there's a chance she could pass out again.
"Erm, I don't think that's it," She replied, recalling that she had actually fallen asleep quite early, and quickly. She slept in all the way to six in the morning! That was the usual time she got up at, though, so it wasn't quite sleeping in. "I don't know what it was, but I had a really weird dream." She mentioned, biting down on her bottom lip as she thought about the dream once again. It really was a weird occurrence. She'd never had a dream so realistic before.
"Thank you for, uh, sticking nearby. It wouldn't be good if something bad happened," She grinned a little bit, shaking off the after-effects of the dream as though stripping off a layer of clothing. Though, no actual clothing was coming off - that would just be really, super, majorly awkward. "I'm Felicity Greenwich, I don't believe we've met yet." She introduced herself, holding out her hand to shake his own. She had met so many people that day already, that another was just a natural occurrence for her now, apparently. She seemed to be quite the social bee in Hogwarts.
That actually surprised her, her socialness. It was like she left Aberdeen, and totally came out of her shell. Sure, she was outgoing and all around her family, but otherwise she used to be the shyest person you could ever encounter. Felicity was more than grateful that this experience had brought her out of her shell. She would need to be social if she wanted to have friends, right?

Reid lightly smiled, nodding at her gratitude. He didn't really need to say more about it, it was what it was. He was also quite interested in what had happened to her, it could be something serious or plain benign. The Hufflepuff boy leaned over to extend his hand, firmly shaking hers with a slight grin. "Reid Kovacs, pleasure to meet you Felicity." The boy pulled his hand away and leaned his elbows upon his thighs to make some conversation.
He was undoubtedly curious of her state, perhaps it was something plain and normal - perhaps it was something more. With how this world has presented itself in his eyes, it always feels like more. Reid left himself open to the possibilities, although her case didn't exactly prove any fantastical - yet. "You said you had a weird dream, maybe it was because you blacked out and hit your head?" He pulled out his wand from the book, he'd find the page he was on later in his commons.
He only wanted his wand to play with while he talked to Felicity, he sometimes got finicky in front of strangers. Reid knew he shouldn't concern himself with another person's business and if she told him to simply go, he'd do just that. Yet he had an unsatisfied curiosity sometimes that got the best of him, even in social situations like this. "Speaking of - -" Reid used his wand to gently tap his head, using it as a gesture when he spoke. "Is your head feeling okay? It wasn't that far of a drop, but it was still a drop."

The girl ran the name through her mind a couple of times, to make sure that she wouldn't forget it. Reid Kovacs. Should be easy enough to remember. She smiled at him and drew her own hand back, re-positioning herself so that she was less uncomfortable. Now, she sat with her legs crossed, making no move to get up from the dirt floor of the Earth. What if she fainted again? That would be unbecoming.
"Erm, I mean it could have been from that, but I don't mean weird as in unusual, it was just really... real. You know? Like, I was there." She mumbled, not sure if it was loud enough for him to hear, but she hoped that she didn't have to repeat herself. She didn't think that bumping her head a little bit would have given her a realistic dream, but perhaps more of a crazy, looney one. What she experienced felt far from a dream in the first place - she wasn't sure what it was, really!
At the mention of her head, though, she reached a hand up to pat the top of her blonde hair, scrunching up her nose a little bit as she pulled a larger, brown leaf out of the mess. She would definitely have to shower once she stepped into her dorm that night. "I think it's alright, actually. I don't seem to be having any memory loss, or vision loss, so that's good," She half-joked, dropping her hand back into her lap. She was glad that her skirt was agreeing with her today, as well, because if it hadn't - well, let's not get into that.
"Have you any plans on what to do, now that you don't have to babysit me anymore?" She asked, a grin on her face to show that she wasn't all that serious. She somewhat wanted to get off the topic, but she knew that the first place she would go after this was probably the Library, or the famous Quidditch Pitch that she heard a few people were going to visit earlier. Wherever she went, she was definitely going to look into this dream of her's. She needed to know what that mirror was.
If Reid was planning on sticking around with her - well, that was his decision. Felicity definitely wouldn't mind getting to know him. She was always in to having friends. And the closer the friends, the better! Even if they would have bonded over her falling unconscious, completely at random, and then proceeding to sound absolutely crazy about a dream. She also wouldn't blame him if he decided to say goodnight until they next saw each other. But, she hoped for the former. She didn't exactly want to be alone.

Reid folded one leg to let his chin rest atop of the knees, nodding as she replied to his pondering. His pants had been stained by the dirt and grass, yet the boy didn't seem to mind by the way he acted. Much of his mannerisms conveyed and how he did perfectly captured who his character was. There was a relaxed atmosphere about him that betrayed his stoic expression.
His brows would lift every now and then, he was a kid of few words and a lot more expressions in that regard. He didn't press the matter about her dream, he was satisfied as is. "No plans actually." he grinned back. Reid stretched his legs out in front of him and folded his arms across his chest. "I imagine you do though, because you seemed like you were going somewhere."
She could also have been simply staring out into the vast grounds, but he doubt anyone would actually do that. At least he wouldn't he'd be doing something productive like skipping rocks across the water. "I feel like I would have more plans when I move up the years, for now it seems like all I do is study and hang around in parts like this." he commented in amusement.
It's been study groups and loitering about so far, he's made a few friends - but everyone seemed to always have the need to study He needed some excitement in his life, otherwise he might just get too antsy. When he was barely moving throughout the day, he had the tendency to do things that might just land him at the Headmasters. Yet he's done well in keeping himself well behaved, at the request of his mum of course.

In all of this, he was happy the girl didn't think he was odd for staying behind. The reaction he had truly expected was a direct opposite of this. But perhaps he can make a friend while he was here, he wouldn't mind getting to know Ravenclaw a little.

A smile came across her face as he suggested that she may have plans. She looked over at him with her eyebrows raised, her smile spreading into a grin, "Me? Plans? Never." She laughed a little bit, tucking her hair behind her ear. She really didn't have anything planned, that much was true. She was kind of just walking aimlessly. She'd been walking since Herbology ended. Now, she was very interested in conversing with this boy. He seemed nice enough.
"There isn't much to do as a first year, really. You can't go to Hogsmeade, but there are plenty of places to explore, I suppose," She thought aloud, picking up a small twig from the ground, and twisting it into it's own hole in the ground. She couldn't help but fiddle when she wasn't actively doing anything physically. It was a force of habit - at least that's what she seemed to convince herself.
"Well, since we seem to hang out in the same places," She joked, looking back up from her twig's hole in the ground to the Hufflepuff boy in front of her, "We should definitely hang out more after this. What do you say?" She proposed, her hopes getting pretty high up. She could do with another friend in her circle, and he'd already agreed to be friends, basically, once he introduced himself. At least, in her opinion. All that she really needed was for his agreement to hang out more.
You could say that Felicity was a little pushy when it came to making new friends. She basically forced them to befriend her, and if they didn't, she'd act towards them like they were. It was one thing about Felicity's optimism - it hardly ever dulled. That annoyed some people, typically the more grumpy kind, but she didn't find it to be so. Then again, this was her we're talking about.

It was quite upfront, but he didn't mind it one bit. He's met plenty of people who were eager to become friends and he hit it off quite well with them. That's how it's usually been with most of the people he's met so far and Felicity seemed to be no different. They also all seem to be females from Ravenclaw, surprisingly. He thought he'd make friends with the boys faster than he would with the girls, he spent his whole schooling so far only with the boys anyway.
He never got the chance to know whether he would be well with the girls or not until now. He supposed it might be his well-mannered disposition and relaxed temperament that leant him as someone with decency. His friends would most likely never fly in a school such a this, he was the more tamer person in his herd of muggle friends. Loud and rambunctious, his dear friend Oliver often got the negative reactions from the girls in their age group.
A part of him began to wonder if any of his muggle friends weren't muggles at all. It annoyed him a little to think that his parents chose to hide this part of his nature, even if it was out to protect him. Now here he was, sometimes bumbling in front of his classmates like a lost child. The bitterness often came, but faded just as fast as it appeared. Reid set his wand down, adjusting himself to properly have his attention on the Ravenclaw girl.
"I think that'd be a great idea. Hopefully the next time we meet, you're not passed out." he lightly jested. He didn't know what caused her dreams and he didn't want to push it, but he was still curious. Perhaps he'll never find out, which seemed to be fine with both parties right now. Reid had been curious of where Hogsmeade was, people were saying 'you can't go to Hogsmeade, you can't go to Hogsmeade' and it only made him want to go to the town even more.
One of these days, he was going to end up wandering off the grounds for being told not to do something. His foolish head might just get to him yet. For now it was finding the odds and ends of Hogwarts castle and one passed out student. "How are your classes going with you? Good I hope?" he asked.

"Trouble usually finds me."
