[font=times new roman]It was a peaceful night. One that Katya felt the need to sneak out of her dormitory for. For anyone that looked, they would see a shadow of a petite child running through the halls, trying to make it out before anyone saw her. Being caught was the last thing she needed, especially when she just wanted to enjoy the night as a being for once. Usually, she never sneaked out of the castle unless it was a full moon, but tonight was an exception.

The skirts of her dress flowed down to her knees, being held up by her shoulders with thin straps. The torso was tight, but once it reached above her hip it flowed out. There were two layers to her white garment - one shorter skirt and one longer one. Her calves showed, as did her arms, though she was completely comfortable. In fact, she hadn't even brought her Slytherin robes with her. If it were brisk outside, she was as good as doomed. Nevertheless, she went on, eventually pushing open the heavy, large door to go outside, slipping through the small crack she had opened.

Being short had its strengths and its weaknesses. A weakness was that she couldn't push doors like these open very far, but a strength was that since she was short, she was also thin. She could slip through small spaces without a struggle. Once she was outside, she silently closed the door as to not to alert anyone, before taking off once more. This time, she broke out into a light jog. When she neared the lake, she slowed down, eventually coming to a halt at the water's edge. The moon was directly above the waves, reflecting off of the surface of the murky depths.

A slight breeze was ongoing, and caused her hair to be blown to the right. Some went into her face - specifically her eyes and mouth - but she quickly pushed it back behind her ears. When that didn't fend off the wind permanently from messing with her hair, she turned to face it oncoming, looking to the stars. She wondered if there were students taking Astronomy right now, looking at these stars too. And if Astronomy class was in session, would they be able to see her?

Cautiously, she made her way towards a large tree, leaning back against the bark of the trunk. She still faced the wind, causing some of her hair to then be blown back, wrapping around a little bit of the tree. She let out a sigh as she looked up and through the branches of her cover, then she tilted her head down, looking at the lake and the reflection of the moon. She slid down the bark of the tree, bringing herself to a sitting position in which she stretched out her legs in. The night was passing slowly, but she would make it back to the castle by midnight, she was sure.

It was a young evening, the sun had been replaced by a beautiful and mysterious moon. There were also a bunch of stars dancing around it, which reminded Emyl of a Campout. The young Muggle-born has once again rushed out of the castle, past curfew. It was starting to become a habit for him to wander around in the numerous corridors of Hogwarts while avoiding each and every professor. He was starting to wonder if his mind had been changed into a marauder card. It was a special item he had learned about because of his new friends. They were always referring to it as a passe-partout, something that could allow them to walk freely without being noticed as they would avoid the unwanted people. Still, Emyl had no such object in his possession. He only had his brain.

The weather was somehow cold tonight, but he had thought to bring his favorite scarf. The Hufflepuff colored one. With his small hands, Emyl hide his neck with it, feeling suddenly calmer. This simple action had just given the young boy a new confidence.  He had been stressed over his schooling result, but also over the fact that a lot of people in this school had culture problems. They hated Muggle-Born. For some reason, it was affecting him more than he wished. It was only blood, only magic. Life, in general, wasn't something that could be defined by it. It was one of the reasons that made him question himself about it. There was nothing except hatred that could justify their actions.

Emyl sighed. It was already late while he walked around discreetly. He did not want to be caught in the ground. Especially as he knew a few of his professors were always in the corridors trying to catch the students that, like him, would try to leave their common room after the specific time. I wonder what Tyler and Gregory would think if they knew what I was up to. This thought made him smile. His friends were known for enjoying each misbehavior. This one would only be another to write on their favorite list.

It was not only cold. The wind was also blowing. It was making Emyl's hair fly on each side, straightening them on his head. He could not say that he loved this feeling, it was refreshing, yes, but somehow, his hair was delicate and touching them too much hurt him. The wind was no exception. Emyl brought both of his hands on his head in an attempt to fix them into places, refusing to get more hurt. A tree could start entering his peripheral vision and it wasn't long before he decided to run there. At least, he could protect himself from the intense wind and from the vicious eyes.

The closer he got, the more, adrenaline was pulsing through his veins. He was not alone. Somehow was sitting there, close by the tree. It was something scary. What if it was a professor? Would he get detention?

LUCK. It was a young girl with dark hair. It seems she had not acknowledged his presence yet. Crossing his arms together, Emyl approached her, slowly walking in her direction before sitting next to her. It felt natural. It felt like home. How strange? Therefore, he could not let his thought wander further without greeting the girl. It would be extremely disturbing to simply stay silent. Hello! I can see I was not the sole to decide to break a few rules to enjoy the stars and the weather! Isn't it refreshing? He was observant. She had been watching the sky with a delighted expression since his arrival.

Just living is not enough... one must have sunshine, freedom, and a little flower.

[font=times new roman]Serenity was the single word that came to mind while Katya was out that night. She was finally at peace during a night time. Honestly, ever since she first went through the pain of a transformation, she was anxious that it would happen at any time, in the same room as her dorm-mates. She was scared of hurting them, considering how much she has already hurt herself. Of course, it didn't work that way, but she didn't know that. For all she knew, she was constantly a thing to be frightened of. If she scratched someone, they scarred, even while in human form. What other qualities did she possess that she wasn't aware of?

Ultimately, there's not a thing Katya was scared of with this new condition. But this night was the one time she was able to get away from it. She still hoped, though, that she wouldn't turn for another decade. She knew fully well that that wouldnt' be the case, even though she wished for it with everything in her. She'd do anything to go back to the day it happened, and stay home instead of going out to get candy. She was just lucky that her father was able to find her when he did.

Suddenly, her thoughts were interrupted by someone taking a seat next to her. Without looking at them, their presence seemed somewhat familiar. One that she definitely was used to, almost like the warm embrace of her mother. She turned her head, surprised to find someone she hadn't met before. A boy with light blonde hair sat there, with eyes that seemed to search her thoroughly. He spoke up with a chipper tone, and that's when Katya's eyes drifted to his yellow-and-black scarf. Ah, a Hufflepuff.

"It is refreshing, yes," She responded, her Russian accent affecting each and every word she pronounced. "Why are you breaking the rules though?" Each time she pronounced the 'th' sound, it was sharp, making it sound more like a 'de' sound. She wasn't the best speaker of English, though over her time at Hogwarts she has definitely improved. People didn't struggle to understand her now - at least it seemed that way - and that was a good thing, she was pretty sure. She was also sure that over the seven years she would be spending at Hogwarts, she would probably end up losing most of her accent.

This boy truly did feel as though he was familiar, though. She could have sworn she knew him, from somewhere. There was just the fact that she didn't know him, at least she was pretty sure she didn't. There wasn't a chance that she recalled seeing him outside of the hallways, and even in the hallways everyone seems to blend in together. How come he stood out? She wasn't sure, but she wasn't going to push the thought away. "Do I know you from somewhere? Are you in one of my classes, maybe?" She questioned, trying to recall the classes that she shared with the Hufflepuffs, though she still couldn't see where she knew him from.
