Kyle smiled at the small, round pebbles in his pocket. His left hand raked through his hair as his right silently slipped a pebble out of his pocket. He had gotten bored so he went out and collected pebbles, planning on throwing them at unsuspecting students, and possibly a teacher. He saw a blonde hair girl walking by, and took his position. Aiming the pebble, he threw it at the Hufflepuff student. A shriek is heard before she ran off, holding her side where the pebble had hit.

"Oh come on! I didn't even throw the dang thing that hard! I could have thrown it so much harder!" Kyle complained in a low whisper, hoping nobody was around to hear that he was the culprit of the stray pebble.

Pulling a larger pebble out of his pocket, he decided to throw this one with his left hand, his dominant hand. He turned around, not wanting anyone to get suspicious of him where he was, and threw the pebble harder than he had the other one. With the perfect aim and trajectory, as if he knew what that word meant, he hit a tall Hufflepuff in the shoulder. Somewhere that hurt, but can heal quickly and easily.

It was good that he managed to get out after his time in the medical wing, it was fun chatting to the people in there and the nurses were quite nice. It was also a good chance for him to enjoy the weather before it got too hot, at least that was the plan for today. In a span of moments, his lovely stroll was interrupted by a large pebble whizzed and hit him where he felt quite vulnerable. "Ow!" he snapped, his hand coming up to grip his shoulder.

His usual calm demeanor turned into a look of sheer annoyance as he rubbed the area; who threw that? There weren't a lot of people nearby but he spotted one lone student who didn't seem to be moving. At first Reid doubted it was him, but he couldn't help but get the inkling feeling that his uncertainty was wrong. The Hufflepuff felt a surge of anger, one that was kind of hard to quell since getting hurt was starting to become overrated. He just left the hospital, he was lucky it didn't hit him right on the head.

He stalked up to the boy with his hand still on his shoulder, peeved nonetheless, "Did you throw that pebble at me?" Sure he has been mad and often times he's able to mellow out, but he wasn't exactly one to accept getting something thrown at him. The boy wasn't holding a slingshot either, hopefully he got the right person. If not, then he would probably feel quite a bit of embarrassment from even coming up to the boy. But from some deduction, he did his best to take a guess. He also had a bit of a bias towards the Slytherin, Reid always thought that they were people who were often into mischief.

Kyle stood up after the successful throw, not moving and watching the boy yell. A smirk of mischief found itself on his face as the Hufflepuff grabbed his shoulder. Kyle's face mellowed out as the boy stomped over to him and began to yell at him. His hands were shoved into his pockets as his head fell, not thinking he threw the pebble that hard.

"Dude, relax. It's not like it could hurt that bad. I barely put any force into it." Kyle spoke with sheer annoyance that someone could get hurt so easily. "Besides, I was bored. What do you expect me to do when I'm bored? Read? Write? Go kiss someone like my mommy and daddy used to do to each other?" Kyle could tell that he was starting to go overboard with his words, but he couldn't bring himself to stop. This Hufflepuff thought he had the right to yell at him for throwing a pebble. A less than inch diameter pebble, at his shoulder. Kyle backed up from the Hufflepuff until his back hit a tree, quickly sinking down the side of it until his bottom hit the roots. He didn't care that his shirt had now rode up his back, showing his lanky torso, he didn't care that now he looked extremely pathetic in front of the Hufflepuff.

'I need to pull myself together, this is so pathetic! I let a Hufflepuff beat a Slytherin down! Maybe dad wasn't right when he said Hufflepuffs were useless pieces of crap.'

Kyle's bi-color eyes look up at the male, hoping to make eye contact before he spoke. Eye contact was key to a sincere apology.

Reid nearly had his features twist into a full frown, even more annoyed that he told him to relax after he asked a simple question. Was his voice that loud? Or maybe the Slytherin was hard at hearing? Perhaps Reid seemed like he was more upset than he was, but the culprit already admitted without him having to ask much. It was not an explanation he was exactly looking for, it seemed like this was just some act of boredom and that was what made it even more annoying.

There wasn't much rhyme or reason for the behavior, but he wasn't a parent and he wasn't going to lecture someone about it, all he knew was he was just irked. Reid didn't take him for someone lacking intelligence and he wouldn't even be the right person to question it, but he already found the boy's words hard to trust. A tinge of guilt hit him as he toppled backwards, wincing slightly as he let his heart get the best of him.

Was he that frightening? It was a little embarrassing if he seemed even remotely menacing, sure he could hold his own, but he was never an aggressor. Reid hesitated for a moment, then stuck his hand out towards his fellow first year, "Honestly, people do other things when they're bored. They don't chuck pebbles at people for 'fun', at least chuck it into the lake." His voice didn't betray his feelings, it was odd with the way he sounded. Whether the boy took his hand or not didn't matter, it was there for him if he wanted it.

Reid wasn't going to ask for an apology, he oddly was a person who didn't believe much in them. His shoulder stung, sure, but it was probably only going to bruise at the most. Yet this Slytherin's antics admittedly interested him in some way in the same way it yanked at his patience.

Kyle chuckled at Reid's reaction. The frown on his face was just adorable. What Kyle didn't expect was for the other first year to extend his hand to him. The yellow and black-clad Hufflepuff's arm stayed there for a couple seconds before Kyle slammed his hand into the others.

"Honestly, people do other things when they're bored. They don't chuck pebbles at people for 'fun', at least chuck it into the lake."

Kyle smiled psychotically at the other male before speaking. "Uh, yeah. I honestly didn't think about that." The Slytherin felt a warm, pink blush spread over his cheeks and to his ears as he fumbled his hands together. "Yeah, I'm sorry 'bout your shoulder. I should probably make a target or something for me to pebble, and not use people."

Kyle slid his hand out of Reid's before raking his left through his hair and shoving his right into his pocket. His multi-colored eyes look at Reid's build before lightly, or him, pushing on Reid's forearm. He didn't look it, with his smiling face and his steady hands, but he was really nervous. Kyle was nervous about having embarrassed himself and scared about what the other boy thought of him at this point.

"So...you aren't way too mad at me anymore, right?"
